Ambrose and Owens are sure picks but also I'll say Wyatt too. He's someone new and known that they can easily throw in for a reign if they need a heel for it and he's legit enough to be taken seriously.

Owens is the only one on that list I feel safe picking, mostly because my money is on Reigns/Owens at Wrestlemania and typically (keyword: "typically") if they're willing to give a Wrestlemania main event spot to someone, even if they're a heel and even if it's to lose, they have faith in the guy one day holding the belt and not just in a transitional manner. I think whoever wins the Rumble will tell a lot about who WWE has their faith in and how they feel about the current roster. A safe pick like Lesnar, Cena or Taker would draw for sure. If Reigns is so clearly "the guy" for most of the next decade and possibly more, then I understand picking someone to pass the torch to him. But I'd rather see them establish someone as a long-term rival/heel at the same time, and they have a good crop of people that could be that guy. They don't HAVE to do it at Mania, sure, but I'd like to see them do it. They've shown a lot of faith in Owens in the short time he's been there, and he's risen to everything they've so quickly thrown at him. So my money would be on him.
Unless Roman gets seriously hurt (as in "has to vacate the belt") or Ambrose turns heel, Ambrose ain't winning it in 2016.
I do think there's a lot of people on that list that will win it inevitably (Ambrose, Wyatt, Balor), and some that SHOULD win if WWE was smart (Cesaro, Rusev and Ziggler, though they need to do some serious work on the latter). But I don't feel confident in them winning it in 2016.

Reigns will hold it a decent amount, then Seth too. So I'll say Ambrose.

By the end of next year, THE BIG GUY will hold that title. Yep, I'm behind Ryback.

Other: as in none.
It'll be shared between Reigns, Rollins, Cena, and maybe Sheamus.

Ambrose, Owens and Bray have the best chances.
I think Ambrose will definitely win it.

I believe it's time for Ambrose and Owens to shine next year. What a great fast story (Owens) and tough rocky road (Ambrose) that would be
Wouldn't complain about fasttracking these guys or Rusev/Balor/Sami (won't happen) to the title
Please god please no parttimers or Cena/Orton/Sheamus/Alberto

Ambrose & Owens are most likely, I see both winning their first title by 2017. Bray may have a chance for a short-term reign. While not listed Ryback has an outside chance. Balor & Zayn could both win their first titles by 2018/19 (be awesome if zayn beats owens for it at wrestlemania 34 or 35).

Someone we never expected, but we will surely all be sick of how much he sucks by the time he gets pushed to that point.
I vote Baron Corbin.

If I was going to put money on it, and none isn't an option, I'd have to pick Owens. Simple math/history suggests that a heel is the next champion. Logic suggests Rollins will be over as a face when he comes back, and possibly get another run, and a heel would end that one.

I'm holding out hope that they'll get past Reigns vs. Authority/League of Nations by Fastlane, and WrestleMania will be Ambrose defeating Reigns for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
