Which day in a calendar year, do you personally find it the hardest or worst to spend by yourself?

When I had no friends, Birthday was very difficult. Valentine's day was almost a relief lol
New Year's was #2.

4th of July for me, but for completely personal reasons. It is not a day I need to be alone in my thoughts.

Halloween, because when you're alone that's when the ghosts get you.

It all depends on how I'm feeling on a given holiday.

I'm going to say birthday. Usually it falls on a day where you might be at work or school. Come home. Eat. Sleep. Work.
That's sad.....
Unless you are between the ages of 1-22, I'm pretty sure it's hard to celebrate your birthday unless it falls on a weekend or holiday.

Valentine's Day because of all the commercialism surrounding being in a relationship. It gets overwhelming.
New Years Eve is a close second because drinking at midnight by yourself is pretty bad.

I'd say Valentine's. It's hard not to feel a lil sad when a lot of people around you have someone and you don't.
Birthday's got to be a close second, but not for me. I'd honestly prefer to be by myself on my birthday. It's my day, I want to relax on my own.

For me it would be Christmas because the thing I look forward to most this time of the year is getting to see all my family and hang out with everyone. I don't really care about my birthday, when I was single I didn't really pay any attention to Valentines & New Years means very little to me for personal reasons.

I've never spent a Christmas or Thanksgiving alone, I imagine that wouldn't feel great. Though a lot of the time I dread the holidays due to family stuff, which is dumb because it almost always ends up being a positive experience. It's just...an obligation. I don't like those.

4th of July for me, but for completely personal reasons. It is not a day I need to be alone in my thoughts. I feel you. Honestly, I've never really had a "good" 4th of July. It's a kickass holiday, but every year it winds up just being a disappointment for me. Here's to 7/4/2016 working out for us both, man.

My own company doesn't bother me.
In fact sometimes I prefer it.

It's a kickass holiday, but every year it winds up just being a disappointment for me. Here's to 7/4/2016 working out for us both, man. No offense, but I don't ever see me celebrating the day ever again. My mother called me up on that day in 2010 to tell me that she had taken all of her pills and that she was was saying goodbye. I immediately called the local sheriff and sent them to her house, but they could not find her. I jumped in my car and spent the day tearing ass on the interstate making a 14 hour trip in 8 or so. Other than slowing down to make some calls to the sheriff or my wife, I had a lot of time to be alone with my thoughts. Considering how that day ended (hint: exactly how you think), I find myself seeking distractions in early July without marking the day itself. The wounds are too fresh, to be frank.

I've been alone for each of them more than once and I think New Year's Eve is the worst. I'm experiencing that tonight.
