We all complain and complain about how WWE is the same old shit all the time. Yet, on here, people come up with new ideas all the time, and the threads are usually full of replies about why it wouldn't work or would be a bad idea. I think there's a tendency to see an idea and think "what can I say would go wrong with it?" instead of actually thinking about if it's an interesting idea or not. And I think the same thing goes on in WWE's creative meetings. But WWE can barely put on a divas battle royal worth watching. This isn't something particularly high-concept that people just can't picture without being cynical, there's a fair amount of precedent to this negativity.

No, not until there'a a major change in WWE's booking culture.

A gauntlet match or a ladder match would be OK to determine the no 1 contender at mania now they have 5-7 quality and safe workers in the divas division but throwing the lot of them in a rumble match would kill the crowd quickly.

I could see this working in NXT if they let them use past NXT Divas.

Eva enters first and wins because she keeps spamming the WDDTE (Worst DDT Ever), breaking the necks of all the other competitors.
She eliminates 13 divas for the all time Rumble elimination record.

I don't see the harm. I'd book it the Monday before the Rumble. 15 Divas, coming out one minute apart, with the winner facing Charlotte at the Rumble. I apologize if any of the divas are injured. I don't keep track of the divas roster as well as I should. This isn't the entrance order, just a list of the divas involved
1) Paige 2) Becky Lynch 3) Sasha Banks 4) Alicia Fox 5) Brie Bella 6) Cameron 7) Summer Rae 8) Natayla 9) Tamina 10) Alica Fox 11) Naomi 12) Lita 13) Lana 14) Bayley 15) Charlotte
- I would book it around Becky entering at number one, Sasha at two. - Keep Bayley as the only NXT surprise since she's the champion. - Give Cameron a nice return by eliminating Naomi, only be quickly dumped out of the ring by Sasha. - Lana and Lita would give the thing a more anything can happen feel of the Rumble. I would have Lana get a good amount of offense before she's eliminated by everyone in the ring. - Lita would have a nice showing before she's eliminated by Paige. Hinting at a possible future match between the two. - Charlotte doing commentary announces she's number 15, and she's gonna prove she's best diva in the world. - Have the final four be the Four Horsewomen. Have Becky win by last eliminating Charlotte. It brings their fued together with Charlotte completing her heel turn. It also shows Sasha and Bayley aren't to far behind in the title chase. - Definitely helps gives each diva more personality. Instead whatever the hell the divas revolution was this summer.

In the WWE? Oh heck no. Remember when they held the 25 Diva battle Royal at Wrestlemania 25? Molly Holly, Sunny, Jackie Gayda and others got back into ring shape and they didn't even get entrances, the kid Rock concert was more important, and the ending was used to put over a man in drag in a 'comedy' skit. Yeah that was horrible, but would not be the case here. Chance to highlight several of the divas! Why wouldn't it? Attitudes toward woman's wrestling haven't changed that much, instead of putting over a man in drag they used the cream of female talent from developmental to put over Stephanie as a feminist then proceeded to continue booking female wrestlers as flat stock characters, same as always.

Even if done really well, is there really much excitement?
I mean woo...winner gets to challenge for the diva title. Not exactly the most exciting reward. If they want to have one just to have one, I guess it could be ok.

They have about 6 women's wrestlers who are actually good. 2 of them are in NXT. So, not yet. Heh? imo there are 13 currently active women that I'd describe as passable (Naomi, Summer, Alicia, Dana) to good (Alexa, Emma, Paige) to great (Horsewomen, Natalya, Asuka) workers They had a 6 person tag with a lot of the people you mentioned, and it was awful. My passable is as good as an average male wrestler. Alicia Fox is not that, neither is Naomi, neither is Summer. There is a big gap between the good women's wrestlers, and the okay ones.

Put it on Raw the Monday before the actual PPV. Gotta lot of time to fill on these three hour snoozefests. One more caveat: NO. VALETS. I could see this (the Raw before the PPV part, anyway). Give people a taste of the Rumble format and see if it increases interest. Realistically they'd have to cut down on the number of entrants, intervals, and probably the "over the top rope" rule (though I could see them getting around this by having some get eliminated by going over the top rope to the apron and then getting knocked off). And let the prize be a shot at the Divas Title at the Rumble PPV, not WrestleMania. By the way, when you say "No Valets," do you mean that Divas who function primarily as valets (Lana comes to mind) wouldn't be allowed to enter? Or are you saying that the participants wouldn't be allowed to bring male valets? I could see two male superstars (let's say Tyler Breeze and Dolph Ziggler) getting into a fight on the outside to kill some time.

While I would be very interested in this, I don't think it would be very good. It would be entertaining to bring back a few surprise returns though. Stacy Kiebler, Molly Holly, Ivory, chicks like that.
