To be a member of that family and to be cut like he was, he must have had some kind of attitude problem. Doesn't really make much sense otherwise because even if he wasn't very good, you would think they would send him back to developmental like they've done with several others. I misread your first sentence initially, and thought: "Wait, Manu ain't got no cuts." Unlike Big Zeke, he got cuts. Lots and lots of cold cuts.

Orton on an interview said that Manu had a huge ego and thought that he was a veteran because he had been wrestling since he was 15. That rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, if he didn't do that, I'm convinced that at the very least, he would've got a run with Legacy.

We're not even going to discuss how Joel McHale went into business for himself and totally buried Manu on the mic?

He always looked like he didn't give a shit and put no effort into anything. It really stood out when he was with Cody, who is 100% the opposite.

I remember him and Sim Snuka standing out like a sore thumb in Legacy. You had three good looking, well-built, young guys in their 20s and then 40 year Sin Snuka looking like someone's Uncle going through a mid-life crisis and dressing like they did when they were 17 and then fat, greasy Manu. ♫ One of these things, is not like the others ♫

Wasn't he the fake penis guy? Wait, what? He was taking a piss test but knew that he was going to fail it, so he used a fake penis type of device with clean urine but got caught. Because of Manu everybody now has to piss in front of a doctor, which I'm sure got him a lot of heat.

I'd laugh my ass off if he got caught because he was using a Wizzinator and picked the wrong color/size. He just couldn't resist using the John Holmes model.

Dont know what his work was like but being put with Ted and Cody he was bound to stand out like a sore thumb, could have oulled off a Umaga/Headshrinkers/Wild Samoan heel gimmick had it not already recently been done with his look.
Apparently Orton said it was his attitude.

The only time he showed passion was when he assaulted an 81 year old woman.

Figured what with him being part of the famed Anoa'i Family as well as a former WWE wrestler he'd at least be above the really small time indies. However, that is all he gets now outside of some tours of Puerto Rico and one House of Hardcore match. I remember before he came to the WWE, Afa Jr. had a little hype as an indie worker. Or maybe him being on the WXW roster as unsackable in EWR just makes him stand out to me. As for his WWE runs I thought he kind of stunk in Legacy. At least he didn't do anything to stick out at all. However, The Usos didn't set the world on fire either when they were new and they much improved. Maybe Afa Jr. picked up too many bad habits on the indies (the dude has been wrestling forever) and WWE figured it would be too tough to retrain him. Or maybe it was his less than impressive physique at least in terms of what WWE typically likes. I had no idea he was Legacy.....was this one of those "blink and you'll miss it" things?

yeah Manu had a very poor attitude. His dad protected him a lot in WXW and then he was protected in Deep South. Would have done well to have been around his cousins, but he never had that chance. ALso when he got fat, it hampered his skills. He wasn't a stud as a kid, but he had good matches with guys like Homicide, Tommy Suede and Supreme Lee Great.

You know you're something special when you're the weakest link in a stable with SIM SNUKA. I didn't mind Sim.

My only memory of Manu is that awkward backstage segment along with Cody Rhodes and Randy Orton where you had 3 topless dudes standing really close to each other heavily breathing.
Otherwise pretty forgettable guy.
Like when Rikishi was naming members of the Anoi'i family during his Hall of Fame Induction and the silence when Manu was named.
