When was the last time a face got sympathy after one? Or a heel got heat? WWE doesn't know how to do these properly anymore. They happen every single show, and no matter how severe the beating, the victim is back on the next show. In the past it would put a guy on the shelf for a long time. It would threaten their career. Now they just shrug it off and maybe show up with a band aid a few days later. Even lead pipes and cinder blocks won't make a face miss any time. I guess it's to show the fighting spirit of the face but it seems like a waste of time to me because there is no consequences. I can't remember the last time I was affected by a post match beatdown. Am I heartless or is anyone else getting tired of this trope?

One thing I appreciated about KO in NXT was that if he hit the power bomb on the apron, the guy was going to be out.

Doing a postmatch beatdown after every freaking match sure is effective right?
