How was the reaction, does anyone know? I can't trust cellphone audio because everything seems loud.

They were probably just wishing each other a Happy New Year, pal.

For better or worse, that's their money match.

And WrestleMania Star turns into WrestleMania Pillow, not surprising.

I can't wait to see the vortex this creates when they kick out of each others finishers repeatedly.
Gotta make Cenareigns look strong.

They should save that for WrestleMania 33. WM32 needs to be Undertaker vs. Cena and Reigns vs. Fandango.

If they're going to force Vince's wet dream on us, I don't want to see Cena win once against Roman. Ever. Cena needs to be outclassed if we're going to be expected to accept Roman as the new 1A.

Reigns can't even powerbomb HHH. They won't have super strong Cena lose to him.

Passing of the torch potential at WM?
I mean, I'm not a mega fan of either, but I understand Cena's legacy, and accept Roman's destiny.

Nothing is being forced on anyone, none of us are obligated to watch, if they book it and you voluntarily choose to see it then that's on you

The build up to this match would be insufferable.

You took the same, tired, easy shot, boring.

It's not a 'shot' either, I don't come on here to score points, I know I'm not the only one genuinely intrigued as to why someone would choose to watch a match they actively hate the idea of. If it's tired and boring, that's unfortunate but many of us feel the same way about constant complaining about Reigns and Cena

God, I hate this argument. Yes, it's quite easy to choose not to watch - the only WWE thing I've watched since TLC was the end of the Sheamus / Reigns Raw match and I intend to keep it that way for the foreseeable future - but there's nothing wrong with getting bothered with the way things are going or wishing they would do something else, particularly given WWE's the only readily accessible wrestling around. If you're wanting new wrestling of a certain cut, modern WWE's your only real choice, and in that case, yes, it makes sense why you would both bitch about it and yet continue to watch it. Plus, it's just not that easy to stop watching something you've been following for a long time. Many of the people here have been watching for a decade or more and made it a ritualistic thing, and that's a tough habit to break even in the face of things happening they don't like. Different example here, despite season two of Legend of Korra being absolutely godawful for most of it, having a terrible villain, and making most of the heroes completely detestable it took me nearly the entire season to stop watching it, because it still had flickers of quality and I kept hoping things would improve.

I'll give them this, pitting him against John Cena is a surefire way to get Roman cheered. But so help me god, if John Cena wins the f***ing Royal Rumble, I will probably be legit angry over WWE for the first time in a while. The last fan favorite to win was Edge in 2010. That's ridiculous.

If you are of the mindset that modern WWE is your only option for pro wrestling, there's no need to even have a conversation. They have you and will continue to have you. Old habits die hard, yes. But bad TV is bad TV, and good TV is good TV. I discovered Gotham thanks to Raw being so uninteresting, and I haven't looked back. You know why? Because at the end of the day, it's still just a TV show, and if it's not entertaining you, it isn't worth your time or viewership. If it sucks, it sucks. And WWE gets a pass from so many people for a few moments of competence that is marred with an overwhelming amount of mediocre-to-subpar programming. If those few moments are what keep you tuned in over the large amount of dreck, you're just the type of fan WWE loves. You'll keep watching and it doesn't matter what they do.

If those few moments are what keep you tuned in over the large amount of dreck, you're just the type of fan WWE loves. You'll keep watching and it doesn't matter what they do. Well, one, you must have missed the part where I said I haven't watched in weeks, and actually most of the past few years have had a point where I've stopped watching for months on end. So no, they do not have me hooked. And two, I said WWE's the only readily accessible wrestling of a certain kind. Not everyone has access to ROH, or Lucha Underground, or TNA, or whatever else, and even if they do, they may prefer the more glossy, high stakes, big-time feel of everything WWE has that really no other company can provide. ROH's more toned down product with an emphasis on keeping it simple and with little in the way of storyline focus on most shows does not appeal to everyone. Plus, one big thing about WWE is that the product is so wildly inconsistent. Bad TV is bad TV, sure, but WWE so often veers back and forth even segment to segment between being absolute garbage and being incredible and so it's especially hard to cut out entirely because you never know when you might miss something great. Besides all that, this is a discussion board. If people want to discuss what they think is trash, who are you to judge? If you don't like negative topics, stay out of them instead of trying to browbeat people into only talking about things you approve of.
