For a change, my 2015 wasn't completely bad.
Bad: -Got evicted with my family and forced to move into a motel. -Lost a friend from elementary school to natural causes. He was only 29-30. -Best friend faced even more difficult times and it bothered me hearing him go through it. -No job yet and being on a fixed income is driving me nuts.
Good: -I finally have a little studio apartment. I had spent two years with my parents with very little independence. -While there is no job, I volunteer at the FDR national historic site. Been there almost 3 months and love it. I lead tours. -Being at the site above has convinced me to get my Master's in Museum Studies after originally thinking I would get a job in TV. Will probably enroll for early 2017 (hopefully at either my alma matter of American or George Washington.) -A friend of my Dad's has a connection in the Smithsonian and she might be able to get me a basic job at one of the museums. If so, I will be able to build my experience with them which could lead to a fellowship for Graduate School.

Good: went back to school got my own place my sister's kind of talking to me again lost weight saw two NXT shows got into a lot of new (for me) hip-hop
Bad: gained weight back life-long debt begins barely played any music another "part-time" job ends up with me basically getting called-off into unemployment
It was a good year overall. Felt really long though. February was like another lifetime.

I met Laura Jane Grace but other than that 2015 was terrible. I came out as trans to my family and the majority of them, including my father, whom I reside with, won't respect it.
Also I've probably been harassed for being trans by random shits on the internet more times in 2015 than any other year combined

Other than a few bright spots, it was mostly pretty crummy.

It was all right for me. Better than last year in which the floor in our house got flooded and it wasn't until February this year we were able to get our stuff back in our house. My younger brother did some really stupid stuff thanks to his drinking, but other than his escapades this year was a decent one for me. I'm just hoping I can get some major stuff done next year.

Started good but just got worse and worse as the year went on, especially after Summer.

I had a really good year - I went back to college, moved into a nice flat, saw my idol live in concert (twice) got into a hobby that I love and makes me happy, I only got slightly fatter and my boyfriend didnt dump me so not too shabby. I'm starting off 2016 really well so I hope it doesnt go downhill from there.

Bad:
*Spent New Year's Day worrying after I got confined and almost assaulted after jumping on a guy's car to escape a pit bull that was loose around the neighborhood. *Had a really nasty spell in April that took me down for a few days. *Mom almost died from anemia, and spent Thanksgiving in a comatose state and Christmas in rehab. *Spent my birthday in the ER due to chest complications. *Family lost a cat my mother loved for 9 years. *Entering 2016 with a lot of uncertainty.
Good:
*Um... I got a new laptop.
Yeah, I hated this year so much.

It started fine, but I've been feeling more and more anxious as the year's gone on, and I have no idea why.

Good: -Got an amazing new job that I've earned around 45k this year so far. -Got a nice new set of golf clubs -Used said golf clubs at least once a week since April, not counting November, but did go once 2 weeks ago. -Missus and I set out a plan to buy our first house. -Got closer to my family -Got through 2015 pretty much serious illness/injury free (woo!) -Took a nice road trip. (I love to travel) -Provided a Christmas for some children who otherwise would not have had one.
Bad: -My aunt died -My dad had a heart attack -I still live with my in-laws

Good parts: I have progressed more as a reporter. I have also gained interest in photography, and hope to use that interest in not just expanding my skills as a journalist, but also in taking photos as an art form. I still remain active. I had two fun vacations this year.
Bad parts: I can't think of many, except maybe going through bitterness about certain things. I suppose you could say my living situation, but I don't mind it.
So my year was good. It was better than last year for me.

Lost my dad at Easter. Laid off from the best job I've ever had because of the oil price collapse in Sept. Glad it's going to be over.

The good:
- We paid off some extremely old bills thanks to the tax return. - My wife received an over $4000 a year raise, plus overtime when she's on call. Her work is also paying our cell phone bill. It doesn't feel like we're financially treading water anymore. - We moved from a drafty apartment in the suburbs to a really nice place in Midtown Atlanta. We couldn't afford a place (or rent) like this a year ago. - I came out as trans to my mom and brother. It couldn't have went any better. - Speaking of my brother, he dropped a ton of weight this year. It's the best he's looked since his accident. (He was hit by a car on the Mayan Doomsday. It kept him basically bedridden for a year.) - My father in law took major steps to control his drinking. He still drinks (a lot), but it's nothing like it was before. - We discovered that my 63 year old father has Asbergers. It instantly changed the way we deal with him, for the better. - Thanks to some new medication related to the Asbergers, my dad suddenly found his love of reading. Last year, he couldn't get through a feature length newspaper article without losing interest. This year, he went through Asimov's Foundation trilogy in less than two weeks. - My dad, aunt, uncle and several cousins finally sold that land they were sitting on. Each person got over $100,000. My parents are, for the first time since 1986, credit card debt-free. - My wife's favorite cat - sixteen years old and with a major thyroid issue - is still happy, alive and well(ish). After the 2014 that cat had, it's a milestone worth celebrating.
The bad:
- Coming out to my dad is looking less and less likely. It's ripping my heart out, but there's nothing I can do. - My brother, the nursing student, needed a 75% to pass Nursing II. His final grade: 74.97%. He had to wait seven months to take the class again. (And no, the head nurse in charge of the program would not round him up.) - Work on my novel has come to a crawl thanks to concentration issues. I'm slowly working through it, but it's frustrating.
