Joey lost my fandom of him when he told Mike Awesome to kill himself for having the audacity to leave ECW with the heavyweight belt when Awesome was owed money. f*** off with that. Guy destroys his body and doesn't get paid, so you tell him to kill himself on commentary? Man up and tell him to his face. Then Awesome actually does kill himself. Styles also became a big hero for sucker punching JBL. Also Awesome actually went back to lose the title. Not as much a bad guy.

For example, look at Marvel and how successful they've become. Sure, not every fan is happy with what they've put out. But because they don't insult their audience or try to tell them what they want they've become very well regarded and they clearly appreciate the fans. WWE is the only game in town and that's why they continue putting out what they do, because in totality, the ones who complain will still watch out of necessity rather than moving on. I haven't really watched a full episode of Raw and when I have watched wrestling it's usually at the gym with background noise. It's never at home where they get ratings from me, I haven't subscribed to the Network, haven't purchased a Pay Per View, or bought any WWE related DVD's for quite sometime. I think the last wrestling DVD I bought was the Shawn Michaels/Bret Hart DVD which included their sitdown interview with Jim Ross. That was five years ago. That's the Marvel movies. Marvel Comics though is another matter completely. It's usually all out war between the fans and creators constantly. Movies are a different matter cause they are so successful that the hardcore fans wouldn't begin to have a voice. But most of the time the product is solid so there's not a lot complaint. But even then the studios listen to the fans more. For example, Amazing Spider-Man 2 made a ton of money but the response was so overwhelming negative that they decided to do a whole makeover. I wish wrestling(esp. WWE and TNA) was this way.

I wish wrestling(esp. WWE and TNA) was this way. Wrestling used to be that way though. When fans let their voices be heard Vince actually listened, didn't insult their intelligence, and made sure the product was pleasing to the audience. Somewhere along the line he went against the consumer and started to alienate them in the process. Don't like Cena? Too bad, we're going to have him win, don't like Roman? Too bad, we're going to put the belt on him and push him. You want Daniel Bryan? Screw you and him, this what we're going to put out and you're going to like it! More fans need to let their voices be heard and stop attending the events, cancel the Network subscription, stop buying the merchandise, and find other forms of entertainment if they're not going to be listened to despite paying for the product.

I bet he's surprised at the backlash from this.

Seems maybe he struck a nerve with the fans. I guess his "DM" inbox must be full to the brim.

I would incessantly complain about wrestling less if the guys I liked were allowed to shine.
