"Dwayne Gill" being announced as Mick Foley's opponent at Survivor Series 98. I know it wasn't meant to have a reaction other than "who?" And it definitely worked. Some of the random entrants in the mid-90s rumbles had some epic reactions of nothingness (even if they're not representative of the talent level of the actual wrestler), like Tenryu, Omori, Latin Lover, "the youngster" Carlos Colon and Dick Murdoch. The Doug Gilbert one still gets me. If you were not a follower of the USWA, you probably thought "Who is this guy and why is he here?" He was there to remind everybody that Jerry Lawler RAPED A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD LITTLE GIRL!

Remember a time when the Usos weren't over, like in 2010-2011, when they were still managed by Tamina? It was dead silent when they came out.

I remember even as a child rolling my eyes when Vince exclaimed that Dick Murdoch could be going to Wrestlemania. The Orton/Cena Rumble one is the best. Whats even funnier is they seemed to think the fans didn't notice the staredown or something because about 5 minutes they did it again to more total silence.

Gonna nominate Vladimir Kozlov's initial heel run. T'was a virtue he was tucked away on Smackdown, because he went through a stint in which he'd enter without a theme. Because that is how you divert attention away from a lacking reaction, by emphasizing it wholesale.

For a team that pops the crowd like they do now, I remember The Usos got some pretty bad Conway pops in their early days. Jinder Mahal at what I believe was the 2011 Royal Rumble was a pretty noteworthy one. You'd swear they had just played a recording of his theme instead of the live feed the crowd was so dead. It was the 2012 Rumble. That was a Rumble that had no stars in it as it was (Mick Foley's last match to date, and he eliminated something like four guys, as well. He was the biggest star in it, but had no knees, at all). I have nothing against either guy, but the Cena/Orton staredown at one of the Royal Rumbles always gets me. What makes this even funnier is they try it at least twice in the same f***ing match, and it doesn't work at any point.

I was at the 2012 Rumble and part of the crowd groaned and went silent when Jinder Mahal came out.

Both Orton and Sheamus' entrances before that infamous post-Mania Raw match were near completely silent. Just added to the trainwreck value. Oh, I remember this quite well. Big Show had just turned on Sheamus and Orton, who were his partners that night. (Big Show turning? Shocker.) Rightfully, both Orton and Sheamus wanted a match with Show. Steph (I think) comes out and leaves it to the fans to vote. Who faces Big Show, Orton or Sheamus? Fans voted Orton. Did we get Orton vs Big Show? Nope! SWERVE! Steph says that it's going to be Orton vs Sheamus, making the entire vote pointless. The crowd revolted. And it was glorious. WWE learned that night to never swerve the fans with the voting results again. YES! Show was given a 1987 Hogan pop for coming out and beating them both up.

He really looked like he was someone's dad who was just woken up in his hotel room and told to wrestle without even getting to put clothes on over his underwear.

That Raw episode where it ended with Orton beating up Cena's dad and the last thing we hear are people chanting "you can't wrestle!" at Cena.

I watched the '96 Rumble last night, funniest part was that Mr Perfect on commentary even openly said "Who?" when Doug Gilbert came out, despite him tagging with Doug's brother Eddie.
