Call me a fanboy, but I don't believe there's even a bad episode of the show. At worst there's "not as exciting" episodes.

Creative way to save costs on an episode.

I think the show needed more eps like that. Not a LOT, but more episodes that were like "slice of life comedic" type stuff. The show started out with this real perverse dark sense of humor and then became pretty humorless as it went on.

One of my favorite episodes of the show. I enjoy both bottle episodes even though the RV episode became one of the most expensive episodes due to production problems lol.

It's one of my favorite episodes in the series. Not sure why anyone wouldn't like it.

Most of it is pretty boring, but Walt's monologue about the night he wished he had lived up to was fantastic.

It was an unnecessary episode. Some might call it 'filler.' I wouldn't say it was bad, but it make no real contributions toward the characters of the show's greater plot.
I enjoyed 'the fly' episode. The only episode of Breaking Bad that I didn't enjoy was the very first episode, because I found the characters unlikable. Thankfully, I found it much easier to relate to the characters starting with episode 2, but it was a chore to force myself to watch episode 2 after seeing episode 1 and feeling that it was underwhelming.

Jesse/Walt Season 2 into 3 spoiler: {Spoiler}There's a node towards the end which is pivotal in Walt reaching his 'shit happens' attitude toward the collateral damage his ambitions incur. I've always felt Walt takes Jesse's "we would've been dead within a week" response to Walt's apology on Jane's death as a sort of unspoken absolution for his role in her demise. It's a slight shift, but it could help elaborate as to why Walt takes to murder so comfortably thereafter.

There were still some dark sense of humor aspects later on down the line, it may've not been as in your face, but it was still there for the most part. I think it's pretty understandable that the humor would cease once Walt became increasingly more ruthless as a growing drug Kingpin.

Didn't love it. The only episode I can say that about. Not bad enough to keep me from watching or anything. But well off the mark for me in the context of other goings on.

I enjoyed it and it's pretty needed considering how the dark the show was gonna get as it went on.

I thought it was great on a few levels. It injected some of the missing humor the later seasons started to lack, it explored Walt's need to control EVERYTHING in his life, and it explored the last remains of the man Walter White before he was fully consumed into the monster he'd become. I feel like it needed to happen, both for the audience and for the characters. I feel like people that say it was boring or not needed miss the subtle story telling being done in the episode.
Even if it was done to save on costs.

Creative way to save costs on an episode. My awareness of this being how TV works killed my appreciation of the episode. 'Oh, this is to save money so they can do big stuff in another episode.' Taking the actual reasoning out of the equation, I thought the episode was a waste of time that achieved nothing and bored me to tears.
