Well, the Mercury thread got me thinking. Outside of the known friends, Kofi and Cabana, someone mentioned in another thread about Big Dave, that apparently Big Dave and Punk are tight. As well, Orton and Punk seems to be buddies. Then there is the well known Mercury story. But that's gotta be it right? He didn't strike me as a great guy to be around from everything I read. Even Bryan said him and Punk weren't really great buddies from their ROH and Indy days.
So who else is apparently buddies with this guy?

I heard him and Teddy Hart always got along well. He even helped Teddy measure a cage once or something.

He's tight with Joe, Cliff Compton, and Luke Gallows. Joe. Definitely back to their ROH days. Gallows. Yeah, straight edge society made them close road buddies. Cliff Compton? Deuce or Domino, whichever he was called in WWE and CM Punk friends? So random.......

Brodus, Ryder, Hawkins, Cena, Del Rio and Rey have all mentioned/been mentioned by Punk as good friends of his, most of his exes seemed to have remained on good terms with him too, his asshole side seems to be more of a public persona and a way of making sure he got what he wanted in his career, it seems like he's a pretty good friend to people who aren't put off by that and get to know him outside of wrestling.

Not long after Punk left there was a report of him being backstage at an indy show that Compton was main eventing to support him, which seems to be the only wrestling event he's attended since leaving. I think they were in OVW together so I guess that's where it began.

I know one guy who isn't his friend and I think it's unjustified and that's Miz....

I know one guy who isn't his friend and I think it's unjustified and that's Miz.... The Punk/Miz thing is still weird to me. Not only was it surprising that WWE kept that in to begin with, but it was so randomly mean of him to say. You're telling me that Punk would've been fine being in Miz's shoes and ending the show on his back while The Rock celebrates? Yeah, it's a main event paycheck, something Punk always wanted, but this is a man who complained that HHH stole his spot in 2011 when he left in 2014.

I heard him and Teddy Hart always got along well. He even helped Teddy measure a cage once or something. I heard they got into an architectural dispute over the height and had a bit of a falling out.

Ambrose seems to be ok friends with him. Punk was commenting on Ambrose a lot before his debut, he was seen helping Ambrose in a documentary I think and he's given him a lot of compliments, far more than anyone else in the new school that I can recall.

I don't know how close they were, but I remember reading he was one of the first who embraced Darren Young after he came out and said something aong the lines of "I'm proud of you, let me know if anyone bothers you."

Punk's the kind of guy who, when you're in his circle, he's got your back no questions asked. I think respect means a lot to him too. He doesn't have to have coffee with you, but he can work with you. I've heard him say he has the utmost respect for Daniel Bryan. I don't know if they are particularly close friends, but I don't think he'd ignore a call from him.

He really doesn't mention Punk that much.
