There was no way HBK could EVER main event a wrestlemania. Once he can prove he can put on a decent match at mania, then I'll consider putting him in the main event, not before! He also needs to show some better cardio. He looks he can't even wrestle for 10 minutes. What if he had to wrestle an hour for some reason? Or even longer than that, god forbid? He'd never survive. Plus I think he's getting a little old to be given a push like that. At some point you just need to accept that not everyone's boyhood dream can come true.

Anyone with the right build would theoretically be able to main event Mania.

Not without signing with WWE, which he has not done.

It'll probably be AJ vs Samoa Joe. WWE always picking up TNA rejects because they can't build their own stars. I'm guessing you made the same face as your sig after this post. Anyway, no he couldn't.

Are you talking on a theoretical talent level? Because I don't think that would be in doubt to pretty much anyone who's seen him go. Whether he could get over enough and/or be pushed hard enough by WWE to actually be given the spot is another matter entirely, and I don't see that happening.

Likely not. He deserves it, but they are in a bubble.

He couldn't main event a flea market brother.

32 no, 33 would be a huge stretch. There is no way he'd bypass NXT, even if he is only there a few months, and then he has to hit the main roster, get over ultra fast and (this has become important with him) stay healthy. He could be a featured player like we see with Owens and Ambrose at the moment, spot a main event a show or two but WM, just doesn't seem likely.

He could do a run in kill whoever wins the WM main event after the match.
The announcers could say something like "OMG, that's AJ Styles!!!!".
JBL will rattle off a list of his accomplishments (minus TNA) and that will get fans buzzing online overnight and build hype for the post-Mania RAW.

If Vince booked him to do it, sure, he could.
Should he? Nope. The Other AJ is a good wrestler, but I am not all that interested.

Nah, that ship has sailed. A few years ago, absolutely, but they're not gonna push a guy who's coming up on 40 that hard.

Of course he could. It's been said, anyone 'can' if the machine chooses to portray them as such.
Then again the machine always picks the guys you don't want, and tosses aside the guys we pick or waits til it's too late.
But yes, of course he could. The talent is strong. The corporate machine is rusty and weak.

If they failed to put CM Punk in a Wrestlemania main event, no way in hell Styles would.
