Honestly, I don't see them ever inducting a celebrity posthumously. The only one I really think has a chance of that is Andy Kaufman. He'll go in the same year the Hebners, Benoit and Nailz go in. I think Billy Jack Haynes is going to be in that class too. Oh just wait until they get back to Toronto. The Tunney relatives will probably take the money and WWE has buried deeper grudges. People make a big deal about no WWE reps attending Jacks funeral but that was also the weekend of the 2004 Royal Rumble. Plus a bunch of WWE talent in 2004 had never met Jack Tunney.

Even if they made up with the family he left the company before the attitude era and I don't think there is much nostalgia for him beyond boards like ours. To be fair the nostalgia for him here is about 99% fake anyway.

People remember Maple Leaf Wrestling just like Mid-South, WCCW, AWA, NWA, Stampede, CWF, and so on. It's entirely possible WWE will go back to Toronto, consider the Tunneys, but opt for the British Bulldog and Earthquake instead but I don't think they're that obscure or as off the table as people think. Though I'll grant you Jack might have lost his biggest supporter when CM Punk left.

Well in the case of Gagne,Eddie Graham,Watts and the Von Erich's wasn't it that WWE had bought their tape libraries and part of the deal was to them in their Hall of Fame? With Maple Leaf Wrestling they have nothing to gain since the Tunney's sold it all (or close to it) to Vince 30 years ago.

Also WWE owns plenty of NWA footage but I'm sure it wouldn't stop them from inducting Sam Muchnick.

WWE made a Hall of Fame announcement today. There announcement? They are making a Hall of Fame announcement at 1:00 pm ET today.
I guess someone should go ahead and make an official thread, unless THIS becomes the official thread.

I'm guessing it's either Undertaker or Sting.

I think we might just keep this as the original thread and add/edit as necessary.

Finally, Sting goes into a real Hall of Fame.
Meanwhile, in TNA Land...
Dixie: "We had him first, sug!"

His speech better include what this and that were.

I smell a rat... Could be one of tricky Ric Flair's dirty schemes to get one over on the Stinger again.
