Nakamura to be paid peanuts to jump to NXT. "BUT he'll be booked much better than he would be on the main roster. THAT'S what matters!" Tbh, that's always funny to me when people mention booking. Yeah guys can be booked better anywhere they go, if they go to ROH or even a backyard indie scene they'll be booked better than ever but no, that's not why guys go to the WWE and NXT. They do it for the exposure, talent, what it means and of course the money. These dudes wanna be paid for their skills. If they cared about booking they'd stay in Random Indie Federation #394949 owned by their cousin Tommy.

Paul taking after Pappy Vince and looting the territories for their talent.
Wait, Vince Jr. totally never did that and it was definitely only WCW/Turner.

Besides that, name guys like that aren't going to be paid a rock-bottom developmental contract. They're already over with a fairly large fan base that will tune in just to see them, they'll move merch immediately and quickly (i.e. Owens and Joe.) There's always the possibility that AJ or Nakamura would take off and become huge hits on the main roster, which is a plus, but not an absolute necessity. Also note that Bullet Club members supposedly gave notice as well, meaning the Bullet/Balor club could be on the horizon, which may give Balor some much-needed character depth.

I seriously doubt that the E will pay peanuts and a property of performance center t-shirt to nakamura to came over. And even if he is paid less, the style in the company is way less gruesome that in NJPW where he is used to work a strong style.
Still, I doubt that nakamura is leaving as champion, unless he loses it in the next show

It's true that Nakamura has big interest in American culture, and I could see him wanted to challenge himself to make it big in America. Also, yes, I doubt he took a peanuts offer.

Been poking around. It looks like the key NJPW notices were given after the show was already laid out/booked.

Any of these guys seem like they'd be able to skip NXT? The only one I can be reasonably sure of would be AJ, but again, it's hard to say what with him needing recovery time right now.

They didn't mention which two Bullet Club members- but at the same time, it seems pretty likely who: There had been whispers for a few months that Karl Anderson was in talks with WWE, and the amount of UpUpDownDown appearances Kenny Omega's made in the last few weeks alongside Xavier Woods makes it pretty likely they're the two.

Personally, I'd say Gallows would be more likely. He's got size and IIRC he's still fairly youngish. I honestly just don't think I could ever see Omega back in WWE...but then again, I've been wrong many, many times before.

Meltzer just confirmed that WWE has acquired Styles, Anderson, Gallows, and Nakamura.
