Meltzer is saying Velveteen Dream looks to be out for a couple months, meaning he's out for the rest of 2019 There was a time in the recent past when he was away for a month, and now he's out for two months... π€

So during Rooster Teeth's Extra Life 2019 stream last night, Xavier Woods was a guest to deliver punishments for their Werewolf game, and he mentioned he wouldn't be able to go back to work for another six months.

The Post-Mania Raw/Smackdown is the earliest I think we are going to see X on WWE if that is the case.

Dream and Black out really hurts. One for Dream being unable to be involved in the invasion angle, and for Black... just for the fact it's only going to kill any momentum he had, which was almost none, all the further.

So they mention on Backstage that Johnny Gargano will miss the Survivor Series weekend of shows with a neck injury... Is that a legit injury or what?

I mentioned it in one of the NXT threads last week but yeah, he tweeted about being taken off of Evolve events due to an injury. I didn't realize it was a neck injury though-- geez, DIY guys don't have the best of luck when it comes to these things

That dang old Finn Balor brokeded the dang old Johnny!
Nah, but actually their lack of Gargano usage now makes sense.

I'm really curious now with Gargano and Dream both out who will be the 4th in Ciampa's Wargames team, and who'll be on the Survivor Series team too. Maybe we'll get answers tomorrow night.

You'd think that it would be Dijakovic that would get in on the WarGames match, since he's the only other guy on the roster not yet in the match that has beef with Undisputed Era (Strong ruined his #1 North American Contender match with Lee). Survivor Series would probably add Dunne and Priest to that pool, along with the other faces in the WarGames match in Riddle and Lee (assuming that Cole defends the NXT belt on the card against (presumably) Ciampa, like the other two top champions as opposed to being in the elimination match). In fact, that's probably what that team will be... Riddle, Lee, Dijakovic, Dunne and Priest.

Feel bad for Gargano. Dude loves NXT and him missing most of the USA run must be killing him. Hopefully it's not as bad as Ciampa's. Get well!

Bit of house cleaning... Eddie Dennis is off the list, having returned to action at this weekend's NXT UK tapings. Meanwhile, Chinese NXT talent Boa is out, having undergone shoulder surgery this week.

As just announced on Backstage, Ember Moon is out indefinitely with a ruptured Achilles.

According to the Observer, EC3's absence from TV (even in an enhancement role) is down to a concussion he suffered about two months ago. His last match to date was a tag match against The Lucha House Party on a Main Event taping.

I wonder if it's in that territory where WWE might not wanna use him anymore.

I remember him doing his knee during his first WWE run, then him doing something to his elbow or bicep early in his TNA run, heβd just recently come back from a knee injury (heβs had a knee brace on in his most recent appearances) and now a serious concussion. Poor dudeβs snakebitten, both on the injury lists and the booking sheets.

Yeah, they would have been in the Dusty Classic for sure, probably a big chance at being a finalist or even winning it, such is the lack of depth on the face side of the NXT tag division (itβs pretty much just Breezango and Lorcan/Burch, unless they pull the trigger on an extended Lee/Dijakovic run). That said... if he is healthy in time, Iβd kill for them to pair up Breeze with Velveteen Dream. Iβm not sure that level of model machismo can be containable in such a small space, though.
