I honestly love each of these series and just want to talk about them. Certain characters will always be my favorite like Oda Nobunaga and Honda Tadakatsu. Thoughts on the series or favorite characters. Lately I have been playing Samurai Warriors 4-II

I enjoy the series as well, although part of me wonders if they are now just going to do japanese voicing and english subtitles considering the recent games.

I love 'em. Been sticking to the Empires games for a while now though, I just find building my own empire vastly more enjoying than sticking to a story, ya know?

With Dynasty Warriors it seems the main line they translate when the spin-offs they do the lazy thing. I love 'em. Been sticking to the Empires games for a while now though, I just find building my own empire vastly more enjoying than sticking to a story, ya know? Yeah, I'm a big fan of Dynasty Warriors Empire. My favorite character from Dynasty Warriors is probably Dian Wei and his giant axe

Been a huge fan of this/these series(es) for ages now.
Now if we could just get the reviewers to stop giving them so much shit.
"It's just the same thing every year!"
*points at Call of Duty*
Then again, I guess Tecmo Koei doesn't have enough money to buy good reviews stateside.

Rented Dynasty Warriors 2 way back when with a buddy on a whim, and ever since, I've been hooked. One of my favorite series ever.

Some of the weapons are awesome like Motochika and his Shamisen. I really don't play for the story just mindless entertainment but they have made me look up the story behind characters and such

Warriors Orochi is my favourite too bad no one plays 3 online on xbox one as I love the crossover characters...using Hayabusa from Ninja Gaiden to cut down armies is something I will never get tired of.

Love the Dynasty Warriors series. Back in the day my friend and I were in an old used video game store and I picked up Dynasty Warriors 3. Has been one of my favorite games since.... Eagerly awaiting DW9's announcement!! Cao Pi has long been my favorite. Looks awesome and his sweet dual blade is such a cool weapon.
I can't get into Orochi as much because there isn't an English option. The gameplay is as fun as any other, and the roster is massive but I want my cheesy American script! It just isn't the same without it.
And I've never played a regular Samurai Warriors game.

I've been enjoying Samurai Warriors 4 a lot on the Vita. That version of the game runs really well compared to the console versions. It's a lot of fun chaining 1000+ hit combos, and I do like that you can combo into the Musou attacks and keep going after it, unlike Dynasty Warriors. But, I do like the weapon changing in DW8. The Warriors game are pretty fun.

I love the Dynasty Warriors series, although I think I've spent more time playing the spinoff games (such as the Gundam, One Piece and Fist of the North Star spinoffs) than the main series games.

Hey I do. Country of Guam. Anyway I've been playing since 7 and really should pick up Samurai at some point.

Love the Dynasty Warriors series! My favorite character to use back in the day was Wei Yan and his...uh...double bladed Halberd/axe weapon. He fought sort of like Darth Maul, so I immediately fell in love with the dude. I love a lot of the names: Cow Cow, Cow Pee...always gets a giggle. I don't think that's even accurate pronunciation, but the game pronounces them that way so...yeah.

Love the premise, hate the games.
The Empires ones add a cool element, but I just can't beat up countless people for LOLZ anymore like it's '85. I'd rather play a new Romance.

These games are absurdly cathartic. I just love juggling enemies around like pizza dough. It's even more fun in co-op as you swim through oceans of enemies to reach the other players and then hit your double-Mushu thing with the camera spinning around.
Also, I would like to inform you that it is, in fact, Lu Bu and the object of his presence is to destroy us all. Thank you for your attention.

I really like Hyrule Warrios, and am looking forward to the 3DS one. I've probably put in 100+ hours on the Wii-U one.
I do want to try more of the games, and have enjoyed the Gundam ones when I try them well enough, but it does seem like a formula that can lead to tedium if you're having to do the same thing too much. What are some other good ones to try?
