Hearing the details about his death remind me that Freddie's death had similar circumstances. Both men did not make their illness known till pretty much the day they died. Both men kept on recording their last bit of music till they were no longer able to.

Was at his tribute mural in Brixton on Monday, I was so crushed to hear about his death. He was a huge inspiration to me artistically and everyone else. He will be sorely missed. RIP.

He was one of my favorite entertainers of all time...he knew how to reinvent himself and keep himself relevant among changing times. Such a genius. I'm not what one might call a 'singer' in the least, but I tried my hand at The Man Who Sold the World as my own personal tribute to the man. I figured it was in the spirit of Mr Bowie to try something I wouldn't usually do, and go outside the box a little. www.singsnap.com/karaoke/r/bbaa0e165RIP, sir. You will be missed.

This hit me hard. Ziggy Stardust was one of my favorite albums, and Labyrinth one of my favorite movies. RIP Bowie. I was hoping someone threw this up. Funny shit. I'm not going to pretend like David Bowie mattered to me. He didn't. I respect him as being a huge star, influence and unique talent, but I personally didn't rage him. I have a weird thing to where I'm sadder for older folks we know that were there for all of it, were into it. They didn't just lose a guy they liked, they lost a chapter of their life. RIP, bruvva. Labyrinth 4evah!

I remember as a little girl on several occasions trying to send my little brother to the Goblin King. To this day every device I have had that plays music has had the soundtrack to Labyrinth on it. Popping in my copy right now after which I'll pop in Sweeney Todd. Just g*damm cancer....

This was cool: Bruce Springsteen paid tribute to Bowie at his concert tonight by playing "Rebel Rebel."
