The New Japan Rumble was okay with me, it was what it was. I only wish we would have seen more of Fujiwara VS Haku. Two tough, tough old men. Didn't have a problem with Jado winning it, it was meaningless the second it ended.
Six-man tags are easy to book. A tag team + a single, bam, 3-man team. And the matches are harmless for everyone.
Inoki VS Great Antonio. Great Antonio had mental issues by that point and was just a sad sight. Died homeless in the doorway of a Dunkin' Donuts maybe 10 years ago, and the Montreal wrestling community paid for his funeral, tragic story. People took advantage of the guy, he had little education and didn't believe the money would ever end...
Going way back, Inoki definitively stuck it to the UWF guys... no matter they were all pissed and they left again.

So... What's the point of the NEVER Openweight title if NEVER died years ago?

Gedo's over reliance on gaijins. Goto dropping the IC Title back to Nakamura in September. The booking of the junior divisions.

Trying be a sports entertainment company and downplaying their roots. Yellow Barbie. Maria and the extreme closeups of her ass. Bullet Club outliving its usefulness. Massive outside interference. A feud involving a commentator. The NWA parade of goobers. TNA levels of focussing on their Knockouts butts or more/less?

-The crowd dumping on Naito when he was babyface after winning the G1 in 2013 and getting the Roman Reigns treatment so bad his title match at Wrestle Kingdom vs Okada got pulled from the main event for Tana/Nakamura for the IC title. This is not entirely true because Naito was huge over as face in 2012 (almost as over as Tanahashi) and there was time Naito/Okada (after he won his first IWGP title) was BIG deal and the only reason crowd dumped on him because he was coming back from serious knee injury and NJPW miscalculated he could get over as sympathetic babyface without much rehabilitation

The whole Junior Tag division being a gaijin team carousel has to count, right? Isn't it basically the same 3 teams just trading the belts in a circle? The division has great matches but it's stagnant as all hell and they're not even trying to hide that fact. They could at least put the matches on different spots on the card... For example, here's the opening match of Wrestle Kingdom for each of the last 3 years: 2014's Wrestle Kingdom 8 = (Junior Tag Title Match) Young Bucks vs Romero/Koslov vs Shelley/Kushida vs Taichi/TAKA 2015's Wrestle Kingdom 9 = (Junior Tag Title Match) Young Bucks vs Romero/Koslov vs Shelley/Kushida vs reDragon 2016's Wrestle Kingdom 10 = (Junior Tag Title Match) Young Bucks vs Romero/Baretta vs Ricochet/Sydal vs reDragon

- Okada crying after losing to Tanahashi, and Tanahashi bragging about it. This made me legit mad. It wasn't necessary.

TNA levels of focussing on their Knockouts butts or more/less? NJPW focused on Karl Anderson's ass more than any company focusing on their talent's ass. Can't blame them. It's insane that guy's taint.

A very small one, but it really irked me when they didn't show the American broadcast team at all during the first Wrestle Kingdom broadcast in English. It's like they went through all the trouble of sending JR and Matt Striker to Japan, but for all we knew they could have been broadcasting out of Josh Matthews' pillow fort!

Another one I thought of! This wasn't really NJPW's fault, but some of the LOLTNA stuff isn't TNA's fault either, so I thought I'd mention it. Didn't the IWGP Super Junior Heavyweight Championship once change hands without their consent on an episode of Nitro?

Yeah, with Juvi hitting Liger in the head with a bottle of tequila to win the match no less. IIRC, NJPW didn't official recognize the title change for a while.

Hirooki Goto shouldn't have dropped the IC Title to Nakamura. It would have added a good deal more to his match with Naito if the IC Title was up for grabs, and AJ vs Nakamura really didn't need the belt to add more prestige to begin with; its AJ Styles vs Shinsuke Nakamura. The match sold itself without need for the strap.
