So, that ending was wild.

Ummm I just stated an opinion. If you enjoy seeing 250 lb men beat the piss out 115 pound women that's your business. Kind of distorting everything by just stating their weight. Ivelisse is incredibly tough and the point of her gimmick is that she will fight absolutely anyone, so I don't see the problem.

They did a good job having the triple threat first to further sell the underdog nature of the match. But damn man. THAT ENDING. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}ceromiedo, bitches!!! What a show. So glad LU is back. I needed a bad ass wrestling show like this in my life! FINALLY a wrestling show worth watching on TV.

She also has experience in Mixed Martial Arts and Kickboxing, she could probably whip the ass of the majority of people in a real fight.

Had to catch it at 9 but I already remember why this is the best wrestling show on TV. That opener was sick, ****. The triple threat was fun and I'm pumped for Ivy/Muertes.

That ending was insane. Everything that I love about Lucha Underground. I'm so happy to have it back. Pentagon attacking Mil had me marking out.

Sweet Dario Cueto that was amazing! The opening with Vamp in the psych ward and the hallucinations, to the Cuerno destroying Fenix to the Triple Threat and all the backstage stuff. Amazing. Between that and the Nakamura announcement, what a night!

Should be interesting with what happens next to Pentagon moving forward. Do they set him up as an anti-hero figure (to contrast Puma being the "Sting" of LU) or someone whose on his own side?

That is exactly what I believe they established tonight that he is a man that holds no alliance to anyone but himself which makes him the true wild card in any situation in the temple.

Tonight was my first time viewing Lucha Underground (actually upgraded my satellite package to get El Rey just this morning) and it was everything I could have hoped for and more. Sis and I loved it! Theatrics and an almost real sense of danger *nods* It was so much fun! I forgot that wrestling could even be like that. I really look forward to the rest of the season.

Striker: "Even salt looks like sugar..." Vampiro: "You look like sugar"
What a great episode! Great pacing, Fenix/Cuerno was awesome, commentary didn't miss a beat, and the vignettes have gotten even more cinematic. This is gonna be a wild ride

I don't like this man on women stuff. Seems ridiculous Ivellise can get in that much offense let alone win, and I don't care to see large men throwing her around. Calm down Jim Ross. It's a can of worms. My mom saw a Sexy Star match last season, and now is all but calling for LU to be banned. Even with the context that the women are fighters, it's this whole huge controversial thing that can best be avoided by just creating a women's division. As for tonight, great solid opening show. The Vampiro stuff was amusing, I'm glad I read the comic that's linked to in the other thread; I just wish they explained how the mental hospital discovered him in the first place. Figured it was just a matter of time before Pentagon turned face. What looked like three new talents turned out to be Matanza chum.

The only thing I didn't like tonight was the commentary before the three way match. Having Striker and Vamp acting shocked that this was happening, literally after everyone watching at home had seen the segment play out, must have been jarring for new viewers and even as an old viewer it took me out of it for a second. I know that those segments in between matches are just for the people watching at home, but we had literally just finished watching the segment with Havoc's trio and Catrina setting up the match. Just introduce them, and tell the story about how everyone wants to be the champion and tell of the Disciples of Death/Team Havok backstory. It made the two people informing you of stuff seem uninformed and was just a weird choice.

I'm mad at how this shit makes so much sense. What time is it? OVER-ANALYSIS TIME! {Spoiler}{Spoiler} OF COURSE, Fenix being an okay dude but a bit over confident immediately tries to cash in the GOTG on Muertes...it's not like he wouldn't have a reason to be confident though. He does hold a victory over Muertes.
OF COURSE, King Cuerno was in Catrina's pocket (considering all the enemies Cuerno has made, I wonder if he did it for protection...?). With Cuerno holding the GOTG and promising not to challenge Muertes, the only way you can get to Muertes is to be #1 Contender so...
OF COURSE, Catrina offers Havoc, Ivy and Angelico to participate in a THREE-WAY DAN for the #1 Contendership. She was probably hoping they'd accept the opportunity, fall to pieces then leave the winner in the lurch making easy picking for Muertes. It'd take out the one team nipping at the Disciples' heels and it'd serve to intimidate whomever wanted to challenge next...but they didn't leave, the Dead Men came out and beat the shit out of Angelico and Havoc anyway and now that Ivelisse lost...would you look at that, we're back at square one for a #1 Contender.
I think it's interesting that while Puma came in to save the day, it was kinda expected since Puma is still a bleeding heart. However ****ing Pentagon was someone they didn't see coming and he got to Muertes because of it. Feels to me more like Pentagon is the wild-card here, especially since we don't have anything to go by from Vampiro yet.

Sure, he's apparently in Catrina's pocket, but everyone wants the Lucha Underground Championship. Plus, dude's a hunter. And what could be a bigger hunt than the personification of death itself? Sooner or later, I think he's gonna make a power play.

Either he's going to be enticed by being able to beat Muertes himself (meaning he'd be the next person Muertes has to put down) or he'll eventually get got just because he volunteered to fight Muertes's fight on way too many fronts. EDIT: Though if you ask me, I think Pentagon will try to get the title his own way. With the way Lucha Underground works, I'd think Cuerno would have a lot more to worry about from the animals: Fenix, Drago, and Puma.

Seriously though. The lack of Pentagon Jr merch available at the LU shop is criminal.
Especially after last night, they'd be making some bank right now if they had some up for sale.
