I just watched the first episode and I questions and comments.
Wasn't that Puma guy champ at the end of Season 1? What happened? Did they pull a TNA and just reset everything?
What about those 3 guys looking for a "fight club"? Why is it so heavily insinuated that they have been eaten or dead?
The whole intergender stuff did not bother me since they did not go the retarded WWE/TNA way where the men are not allowed to get any offense in. Seeing Ivelisse getting wrecked by the main heel did not bother me as well, since that is what equality actually means: Girls can hold their own against boys, but they can also get f***ed up by them.

Prince Puma lost the title to Mil Muertes in the season 1 finale Ultima Lucha. The 3 guys are assumed dead because that is exactly what happened....Dario enjoys racking up a body count and the blood curtling screams of course.

I did not see anything but the guy looking like Phillip Lahm* asking who's gonna fight tonight and Dario saying "You." then closing. From watching that I assumed that he was going to be fed to someone in the ring as a jobber but not literally as some posts here are actually insinuating. I'm rather new to this show, so maybe there's something I don't know. Maybe that metal shed is the Lucha Underground equivalent of Belize. *German footballer

They were tricked into this thinking they were going to the temple to watch when in reality they were tricked into being food for Matanza.

Maybe his brother has a thirst that can only be quenched by human flesh? who knows but that is part of the intrigue.

At this point, my only worry is that Dragon Azteca II never becomes an in-ring competitor. If Fenix isn't going to be the hero, I'm not that into Puma, so Azteca II is The One.

A question: Who do Vampiro hate Konnan? Classic irrational hate or continuity? Real life, long term hate. A worked shoot if you will.

Dejoseph has said we will see alot of integral characters that wont be actual wrestlers but I have not read spoilers so I have no idea if Azteca II will wrestle or not as now he is just being used to tell the otherside of the Dario story. I feel with how Puma showed up in season 2 and with no Konnan that he will become more fleshed out as a character.

To me, the story seems like it needs to be Catrina and Mil making enemies of Fenix and the Dysfunctional Trio until they can't take it anymore, until the Dysfunctional Trio gets behind Fenix; and with Pentagon and Dario as Wild Cards. Maybe Dario and Black Lotus can make a deal with Fenix, where if Fenix helps Dario regain the temple, he gets a Believer's Backlash against whoever the champion is (even if it's Matanza, with the thought being that Matanza is too powerful for Fenix, so Dario wins either way)...

Just got back from a weekend of Ultima Lucha goodness. Jesus Christ! I don't know if it was as good as Ultima Lucha I, but it's gonna be pretty hard to compare both. Also helps that it was the most I ever drank at a wrestling show
They also, more or less, confirmed at the very end that there will be a season three ("Be sure to come back next time...FOR SEASON THREE!!!")

So the 7 tribes of the Aztecs, we know Puma is a member of one, as is Marty the Moth, El Dragon Azteca, Dario's Family, and who else? I would think Fenix and Mil Muertes as well or am I way off? Did a clear look at the GotG Title ever emerge to figure out all the tribes?

So a little thing that was brought to attention is that MGM have been added to the production credits as United Artists are a subsidiary of MGM so if the main studio behind the production is willing to add their name to the show that is a strong show of faith and even bigger in a financial aspect right?
I would hope that is what it means atleast.

Did a clear look at the GotG Title ever emerge to figure out all the tribes? -Dario is (kayfabe) of Spanish descent; he wouldn't represent an Aztec tribe. -I think they established Puma can trace his ancestry back to the Aztecs; I'm pretty sure Dragon Azteca has too. -Marty the Moth: he says he has, but I think that was more for comic relief. A little bit on the historical Aztec tribes can be found here: linkI have a feeling this season will be all about Fenix. The whole life vs. death feud; and he and Puma are really the only true good guys among the faces.

I put him in there because of the feud with El Dragon Azteca. As for Marty, the reason I went with him as being from one of the Tribes was I seem to remember there being a Moth on the Gift of the Gods (I seem to remember a Cat (Puma?), Dragon, Moth, Skulls (Pentagon or Mil?) and a Bird (Fenix?)). A chance he isn't for sure but seems odd enough that they'd run with it.

We discussed the links of the Medallions to certain people and theorized that the images on the medallions corospond to certain people in the temple. Now it is all just in theory of course since we have not really explored more than the surface of the history of these medallions. And there is a moth medallion which may or may not relate to Marty being a descendent. There is also a medallion with a winged creature which is believed to be linked to Drago.
