Also, Henchman 21 may be my favorite character in the show with by far the most impressive evolution amongst the cast. All one has to do is look at the differences in his character model pre-"Two-Ton 21" and the present.

Finally got a chance to binge watch the first three episodes on DVR. Man, this season is getting off to a great start! I'm really digging the new villains, especially Copycat. And I love finally having Brock properly back in the fold.

Can't believe we're halfway through the season already, feels like it just started. Just have to wait another 6 years for season 7.

new t-shirts, citizens! Probably one of the best eps of the seasob so far. Hank's jacket was pure awesome. "I heed not your BRO CODE." Brock on god gas was romantic as f***! I loved the drama inside the mice cage. Further teasing of Doc & Monarch's possible connection with the facial hair. "That was so awesome! You kept calling everyone 'citizen!'"

Watch&Ward trolling Venture on the phone was hilarious. Brock vs Think Tank had me rolling. Brock was super juiced after getting some. "I've got a sonic cannon pointed at your chest." "....I can dodge it" Brock goes flying. Plus the whole butt stuff/lasso of truth gag. And I like how him and Wonder Woman have basically started dating because she called him, "My man." Other great lines "Billy, there's a Nazi here to see you." "Why didn't anyone tell me we could just 'hologram in?'" The whole exchange between Monarch & 21 about Manolo was great though, "But he does quality work!!" I wonder if Manolo is going to be a major player in some way. He gets referenced alot. Plus they need to do a "Manolo Home Repair" shirt.

I really need to get back into this show. I fell off after season 4 due to life being a dickhole.

Line for line, one of the funniest episodes they've done. The Doom Machine were HILARIOUS villains, the way Doc took to being filmed was so perfect for his character. The opening line was great though, "You decided to open a box mark 'DOOM' in my house?" The stand off between Brock & the bodyguard and their resulting team up was so good. "You brought a knife to a directed energy harpoon fight!" then their riffing on each others moves and the most random Brad Pitt/TROY reference ever. Then the whole thing at the Ninja restaurant with Brown Widow had me rolling, "PULL YOU PUNCHES, GLEN!!" and "Just because you took one improv class doesn't mean you're an actor." And how all that connected with Dean trying to help Hank was great writing, "Why didn't WE get to be ninjas?!!?" The best part was definitely the Monarch/Morpho. I love that he still calls everyone "Citizen" and is somehow a WAY better hero on accident than he was a villain - I guess its in the blood. The way he just REALLY wanted to do the whole "walking away from an explosion" thing had me cracking up. Two things though - you could tell doc was legit scared by Doom Machine because he called his outfit a "onesie" when normally he's so adamant about it being called a Speedsuit. AND - an appearance by knife-wielding bear suit guy during the DM party!

Great episode. I wish these guys could get their seasons out a regular as something like South Park. It seems like I was waiting forever for this season and it's already almost over.

Y'know, I don't even care about the giant gaps between seasons. If this show can only continue to get better as the years go on, let them take all the time they want. This show is beyond genius as the eps tick away.

Welcome to you're "doom!" And why, for God's sake, is "Doom' in quotes? Is this some sort of ironic doom? Is the wink implied?!

Andy Warhol would make the best supervillain.

Who else thinks that the Monarch will decide to give up villainy when he finally kills off the last of the Guild members that get to arch Venture before him.
Love the way this show is going. We're seeing Season 2 levels of character development this time around, and it's fantastic. Dean is shaping up to be the real super scientist, and Hank is becoming the boy adventurer. I want to see more of Brock's love life...hilarious what the lasso of truth brings out.

AHHHH! Can't believe there's only one ep left in the season! The whole thing with Christopher mother f***ing Lambert was priceless. But all the goodfellas style VO was a great way to get a bunch of info into an ep in a short amount of time. The Monarch's explanation of the Equally Matched Aggression system was terrific. Especially the whole Turnbuckle vs Action man fight. I was rolling! 21 doing the old SotL bit to trick wandering spider was great and I wonder if he really killed him or not. "Uh...yeah, we covered it in....eclipsim. They stop radiation and magic space stuff." Blue Morpho/Dr. Z flash back......! But yeah, all the flashbacks and world building they did in this episode is beyond amazing. When you sit back and think about just how layered and nuanced the world of the Venture Bros really is, its amazing, especially since the show just started out as this jokey lil parody of Johnny Quest and slowly grew into this BEAST with so much history and interwoven storylines.

Comment and a Question about the episode last night:
I don't think that's how laws work where a senator just signs something into a law.
Why did Blue Morpho need to have sex with Dr. Z for the plan to work?

I get the sense it may be revealed that Blue Morpho was a partial shape-shifter or something. Knowing how many layers Jackson and Doc tend to pour into their character names, it's certainly worth considering.
Also, woo, Battleaxe apparently survived!
