Watched the Sting episode the other day.
He really does just seem like the nicest guy.

I did love Hall's line about "WCW was a television company that produces a wrestling show, WWE is a wrestling company that produces a television show" Yeah. It's in one sentence the difference between WCW and WWE and pretty much the reason WCW died. Yet there was more wrestling on WCW. Bizarre, eh?

Figured I'd bump this since the Jimmy Hart episode was just added.
-Maybe I'm just blind or something, but anytime they show the album covers of The Gentrys, I can't ever pick out Jimmy. There's 7 guys, draw a circle or something! -Jimmy discusses how he got into music, keeping the Gentrys alive and "getting Keep On Dancin' on every album they made". -Ooh, old Memphis footage galore! Around the time Lawler "retired" to go into music. -And the classic angle where Jimmy does (is fed by Jerry Jarrett, we find out) the line "What do you do to a thoroughbred horse that breaks his leg? YOU SHOOT HIM!" -Lawler may have broken his jaw in retaliation for that...because Jerry was upset nobody called or checked on him. Jimmy started checking on Jerry a couple times a week after that. -Jimmy says being at WM 1 was his proudest moment. "If it didn't work out, there's no me here." -Damn, the "Eat Your Heart Out, Rick Springfield" video. I still like that song. I voted for that song to win at the Slammys. -He loved all his charges, they all brought something different. Jacques Rougeau was the funniest of all. Jimmy brings up how when he wrote Mountie's music it originally had "I'm handsome, I'm gay, I'm strong" and Jacques was like "Nonononono, WAIT A MINUTE!" -Enjoyed being with Knobbs & Sags, he called them Beavis & Butt-head because they looked like them. In WCW, he wanted the Nasty Boys to do a talk show sitting on the couch, doing B&B stuff. WCW was like "that's the worst idea".
There's a lot more. ("I dropped the tag champions to help Brutus Beefcake. I wasn't too smart.") Very fun 42 minutes. Just flew by. Watch it. You'll like it.

I've just consumed all these this weekend, only stopping to pop out and see some little film about superheroes.
I am gutted the show is axed. This is what I want from the Network, so it's a real shame this is the content that seems to be being dropped

I've just consumed all these this weekend, only stopping to pop out and see some little film about superheroes. I am gutted the show is axed. This is what I want from the Network, so it's a real shame this is the content that seems to be being dropped They seem to be in a cycle of bringing in shows to appeal to the smark audience. Then they realise they're making a smark show, so they axe it. Between this and the Stone Cold Podcast, arguably Bring it to the Table although that was more about moaning to us about how we suck and are wrong. Something Else to Wrestle With is the latest version.
