Was at Raw tonight, and after the show we were crossing the edge of the parking lot where all the WWE trucks and buses and rental cars used by he talent were.
Traffic was stalled all around -- we were going to have to get out of a parking deck and onto the interstate for the hour-long drive home -- so we did what we usually do (having been to a number of WWE shows in Birmingham with a buddy of mine) and decided to wait outside the parking lot (along with a number of fans) to let the congestion ease.
We saw Becky (who got into a car driven by Charlotte), who got a lot of attention from people cheering and yelling to her. She waved as she put her luggage away and then they drove off. Also Chris Jericho, who waved to people calling out to him as he got to his car (on the far side of the lot from us) and JBL/Cole/Mauro Ranallo, who also gave a quick wave as they loaded up and drove off.
And then comes Adam Rose, who has a car parked right at the edge of the lot near where a group of people were standing (about 10 yards away from us). A few people were going "Hey Adam" and such and he smiled and gave a wave. Then he put his gear in his car and walked over to them and started signing autographs and posing to take phone pics with them (at least one of which he posed with a guy while shooting him the bird, which the guy thought was great).
Then he goes back to his car and is just about to get in and someone who just walked up called, "Hey Adam, can you do a pic with me, please?" He paused and said, "sure" and walked back over and ended up doing a few more. Then he very politely said, "I really do have to go, I wish I could stay and do more" and headed to his car. He got a round of applause from everyone at the rails, including us. (We didn't go over for pics, just observed.)
I completely understand the ones who just want to get in their car and go -- it's late, they probably have some miles to go before they can call it a night -- and appreciate it when I see them even taking time to wave. But it's rare when I've ever seen any of them actually stop to do photos or autographs, and I've never seen anyone do so after a show for as long as Adam did, or who seemed to really enjoy mixing with fans after a show like he did.
He's a rosebud in my book for sure.
