Carrying over from the last thread ... Hello and Welcome ... again I have decided to find out who is the greatest Superhero/Villian of them all ... by Tournament ... Thats right its time to rumble with 256 of the best .... here are the rules in case you missed them earlier ... - First to 4 votes wins. - 256 characters will enter ... they will be spread roughly between hero and villains ... with a few Vigilante/anti-hero's thrown in. - IMPORTANT! - Vote on who you like the most, not on who would win in a fight. - The main selection will be from DC & Marvel ... however a few from other comics have been included. - In case of characters who have had multiple people in there roles, use the general basis of that character. (e.g. Green Lantern) - I will try to update this as swiftly as possible. - I will be voting as well. - The matches are determined at random. Okay now who did what last time .. oh yes ... Mister Sinister destroys Miracleman --------------------------------------------- Next match to start the latest thread is a good one, mainly as both these guys have fans but also a large majority of anti-fans ... Gambit - The thief, The Cajun or just the man with the playing cards, an x-men member who possesses the ability to charge objects, usually his trademark playing cards, with kinetic energy, causing them to explode. vs Carnage - The Symbitoe spawn of Venom, bonded with Serial Killer Cletus Kasady. Lethal & Unpredictable Carnage is one dangerous villain. I've always digged the only true psychopath in marvel history, Carnage gets my vote.

Gambit
I prefered Venom to Carnage (never liked him)

This would be a tough call if Gambit wasn't the coolest mutant to ever exist.

Gambit. Carnage was a pretty stupid character, as all he ever did was kill a bunch of people and whine about his childhood. Venom was a fantastic character, while Carnage was a dumbed down version.
Gambit has a compelling past, great look, lots of charisma, and is quite different than many of the other X-characters.

Man, guys this thread has got me wanting to get in the attic and find the genesis w/ X-Men 2: Clone Wars. I may even have Maximum Carnage.

Another tough choice. I'm going to go with Gambit for being so cool and for staying with Rogue all these years even though he can't get any.

Damn it! Two of my favorites.
I'll give the vote to Carnage, I suppose. Gambit is tres cool, but Carnage is a good psycho villain.
Oh, and it pissed me off to no end that Carnage was shot into space and torn in half by The Sentry in issue two of New Avengers. I have to assume that the symbiote is still alive, but the man himself is done for.

Gambit makes it to the 2nd round. Thus doing better than last time I held a tournament like this ----------------------------------------------- Next .... Ghost Rider - Has Supernatural strength and durability; rides a mystical flame cycle that can travel across any surface and attain incredible speeds. Can project Hellfire and is able to travel between realms. He also wields a magical chain which offers many forms of attack. vs The Question - A Brilliant detective with superior inquisitive mind and deductive reasoning, Exceptional martial artist. He is one of the more philosophically complex superheroes. Ghost Rider gets my vote.

I'm leaning Ghost Rider. But, in all fairness, who is the question?

There is a breif description above his picture. He is a DC Superhero.

The Rider. Question can't be clever enough to deal with a flaming skull maniac with a hell-bike and those chains of his.
