Similar to figure skating.
Two guys (Can be four) go in and work their match, including some required pre-determined spots the judges will score.
Then judges score it. Highest scoring match wins.
...................
At least give me credit, I invented something new.

The judges score the contest...
50-48, Bryan 50-48, Orton
Judge #3 scores the contest 50-45 for your winner, by split decision...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand....

This is a bad idea.
BUT I think if there was one random promotion that made this their "thing", they'd probably blow up really huge.

I could see something similar to a British wrestling round system and judges determining a winner in case if a draw.

That's kind of how I would picture professional-style wrestling in the Olympics, except the judges would be judging the two wrestlers as a team... like Synchronized Swimming.

I actually figured it would work almost exactly like figure skating or synchronized swimming. Individual and tag team competitions, as well as a national team competition. They get a specific amount of time and get judged based on storytelling, execution of spots, fan reaction, etc.

Actually CMLL does something like this called En Busca en un Idolo. It an elimination contest involving rookies getting graded for their match performances by a panel of judges with the winner recieving a push. The outcomes and match structure are already decided. The luchadors perform and are graded. So even if someone lost the match, they can earn more points than the victor. After the judges give their scores, an online poll is put up on their website with the lowest scorer from the combined judge and poll numbers is eliminated. Goes on for weeks.

Reminds me of an idea I had for a wrestling video game where the game is set out of kayfabe. A player would control each wrestler and the controls would be based on timing moves with each other and working together setting up entertaining spots, then the match would be graded on how well the match flowed and how well the audience received it and such. Obviously I know that this probably wouldn't be able to work at all in real life but I like the idea!
