I thought UFC fights were one on one! Yet, Punk is fighting a fused Cody Rhodes/Tyson Kidd.

CM Punk's entrance music for his UFC debut confirmed Lol in the Ariel Helwani interview Punk actually looked like he wanted to befriend Gail in order to avoid a serious beating, kinda like when Bart Gunn took it easy on Bob Holly but still kicked his ass.

If he has legit been training and preparing since he left WWE he'll be fine. He might not win but chances are he won't be embarrassed either. Especially since MMA is way more forgiving than boxing when it comes to lack of experience. If you have any sort of grapple game at all if you can bring it to the ground you at last can pro long the fight. Hopefully Punk gives a good showing. I love seeing the sharedog crowd humbled.

I would love the irony if Gail knocks him out with a knee2face.

Even in his UFC bio and his pre-fight interviews he said that it was a crazy situation and he was hoping that it would help grow his media career. He was a fighter who wanted to fight to grow a non-fighting career. Sounds like a smart plan

If he loses, Punk going back to WWE would be like Gary Neville going back to Sky Sports.

He now owns a suit It's kinda funny what money can do for someone. For instance, when CM Punk wore his suit in ROH it looked pretty ill fitting, kinda cheap (as I imagine it was, can't blame him) and didn't look that great. Compared to this suit. Obviously tailored, and looks amazing. I don't like suits, but I would wear this. But y'know once I'm rich enough to afford a tailor.

It'd look a lot better if it was solid-colored. I don't think even Punk can pull off subtle plaid.

A report came out yesterday that said Punk has had 16 "practice" fights in the gym and lost 15 of them

A report came out yesterday that said Punk has had 16 "practice" fights in the gym and lost 15 of them The source of that is entimports.com/2016/02/source-cm-punk-had-16-test-fights-in-gym-and-lost-15-of-them/(emphasis is mine)That's the most noncommittal piece of crap I've seen in a while. That makes some WWE newz sites seem full of integrity. He was writing an article and couldn't be bothered listening to the podcast he was quoting? It was the basis of his story!

The kid he's fighting just knocked down a Golden gloves champion, Mickey Gail destroyed his opponent in less than 2 minutes. The question it's not if Punk will lose, is in what Vegas hospital he's gonna spend the night.
Please just look at the fight on YouTube. Then make a judgement if CM Punk really stands a chance. www.mmafighting.com/2016/2/3/10796838/the-path-to-cm-punk-goes-through-mike-jackson-who-thinks-the-wholeActually, Mickey defeated a guy who only had an amateur fight 4 years ago, trains sparingly and is more of a photographer/interviewer/blogger than a fighter Did you even read the article you posted? Says clearly Jackson was a former pro boxer with 20 record with 2 knockouts in pro kick boxing and the same in pro boxing.

I have never understood why anyone thinks Punk has any shot at being anything in UFC. How is this any different then him saying he wants to be in the NBA. What makes anyone think CM Punk could be a MMA fighter?

Honestly I think you'd be hard pressed to find ANYONE (on this board at least) that ever thought Punk had any sort of a chance in UFC. From what I remember nearly everyone was like "This is a terrible idea, what the hell are you thinking, Punk?" pretty much since day one.

Do you think Vince has a doggy door to his office installed especially for Punk to crawl through ala Mr. Burns if this doesn't work out?
