Maybe, maybe not. It'd seem wiser to save it for next year especially cause they probably already have a line-up prepared for this year. As for who to induct him? Regal, his wife or Punk. He'd do it. Even with all the beef with the 'E. Why Punk? Punk and Bryan have both stated in interviews that while they do like each other and are buds, they are not the close friends the fans think they are. A.J. had a profound symbiotic popularity with Punk, Bryan/Team Hell No, and Ziggler to the point where I think Bryan's YES partially got over due to A.J. being the 'face' in their on-screen duo. Since she's Punk's real-life wife, it makes sense that there'd be a personal relationship between the male wrestlers-- and honestly I don't expect either Punk nor Bryan to ever tell reporters/fans/etc. the truth if they really were besties in real life.

Yes....but at Wrestlemania 34. If they do Taker next year, he's still gonna be the #2 headliner. I am all for Regal inducting him.

I kinda want Kane to induct Bryan, and AJ Lee to be inducted the same year as him (Vickie Guerrero inducts)

I don't think that Daniel Bryan should be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year because it's too soon. I think that he should get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.
I don't like it whenever someone gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the exact same year that they had announced their retirement from in-ring action.

From the "Is Daniel Bryan HOF Worthy?" thread: Definitely, but I hope not this year. Give us time to let it sink in, then maybe give him an on-screen role if he wants it (then an induction the year after he leaves). If he's not doing on-screen role, then... Class of 2017 or 2018.

Had Sting not already been announced then I'd say yes for this year, but now I think next year's is better with him headlining. If Taker is pencilled in for next year then I'd try to delay that one as there's really no rush to induct Taker at this stage.

I wish that WWE would go the MLB route and make them wait 5 years.

There are people in NXT older than Bryan, nothing against his accomplishments but aren't there other people that deserve to be inducted before Bryan turns 40?

Yeah, I've heard those comments. My logic/reasoning being the respect that lies between them. And what they've represented in this business. Also...it'd be a hell of a draw to have Punk return, on the WWEs part.

Not this year, because both he and Sting deserve to headline their respective years.
As for his inductor, Regal would be great, as would Kane. I'd also think Stephanie McMahon would be fitting. She did the best heel work of her life getting him sympathy in the build to WrestleMania 30.

Next year at the earliest, and it absolutely has to be Regal. And then have Bryan induct Regal.

I'd say no, not this year. In the future, yes. As much as I respect his work ethic and accomplishments, he has somehow never really impressed me as major player on the level of Rock ,Stone Cold, HBK, Ric Flair, heck even Triple H. He just doesn't even look like a wrestler. And I'd say many others feel the same way, based on the ratings of this week's show.
Again, I have huge respect for him, and he seems like a good guy out of the ring as well. As a former world and Tag champion, he certainly qualifies for the HOF. But not on some special basis suggesting he is one of the best ever.

The only way I'd personally be fine with this is if his retirement was a work and he was attacked while on stage and goaded into a match, ala HBK circa 2002.
Otherwise another year is fine. They've got a big enough name in Sting at this year's Hall of Fame so I don't really see the point. I feel like they're going to run out of big names sooner rather than later.

But not on some special basis suggesting he is one of the best ever. Or, y'know, the third hour dropped like it always does, he potentially could have been propping up a much steeper drop, (we won't know unless we get the full ratings breakdown, which rarely comes out anymore), and a lot of people might not have heard because it was only announced like four hours before Raw went on the air. And his segments and those relating to him were the highest rated ones in the run up to Mania 30 when WWE had a lot more viewers than they do now. Plus maybe casual interest just isn't there when it comes to something like a downer retirement speech, and it might've been impacted by how he didn't come out until the overrun. Not saying other factors definitely brought it down, though either way a third hour that nearly topped the total average from last week I'd call a success regardless of what the drop was leading into it, but I think it's not really fair to just assume it's instantly, "No interest in Bryan after all."

I think it's fine if he doesn't go in this year. I don't think it really matters who we think should induct him. He may want it to be Regal. Maybe he would rather Brie inducted him. Maybe he would want Kane to do it.
