You salvage the likes of Bo Dallas, Heath Slater, Sin Cara etc.. Roman is fine and will be 5-10 years from now.

I'll be that guy. "Heel turn". Honestly, running with Reigns as the corporate approved champion would be over like gangbusters. I mean we all know he's the corporate approved guy... RUN WITH IT. I don't even watch their shows anymore and even I know that is the obvious way to go. Granted, it smacks of Reigns being the lead singer of his own Rock tribute band, but if you are determined to get him over you just got to do it.

They can, but it require something that they absolutely suck at right now. Getting the f*** out of the way.
You let Reigns be himself, be the "say little, kill people, and if you lose, go down in a blaze of gunfire, screaming profanity" kinda guy. He was that with The Shield, and it did that getting over thing all the kids rave about.
You micromanage, have him cut 15 minute, cartoon referencing promos, have him smile all the time and be goofy, and, well, you get what you are currently getting.

let any of the dozens of us who have like minded answers write for WWE. those of us with common sense, and can see the forest for the trees.
I'm always reminded of that story of Vince wanting to sacrifice everyone for the sake of Lashley. This is no different, they're hellbent on doing this, even though everyone and their mother (who probably doesn't even watch) could know how to fix this.
I said this pre-WM last year....he'd be an AMAZING corporate champion. Ambrose would be the perfect foil for him to battle against. There is SO MUCH MONEY in that feud with Reigns being the cocky smug villain who has the "bloodline of champions" against Ambrose who was "a nobody before Roman Reigns made him". The promo's are easier to write, they'd come off natural, they'd play to both Roman and Dean's strengths as performers.
You'd build Reigns as your new cocky heel Rock, and Ambrose as your anti-authority ass kicking Austin. It boggles my mind how clear as day this is.
Bring back Rollins into the mix....holy hell.....You have feuds to last you years. Unlike Orton vs. Cena, which the clueless in charge assume is what we wanted, the fans would eat this up.
Oh, and lose the blue f***ing contacts. seriously.

Salvage Reigns? Easy, just book him as Goldberg 2.0. have him show up, kick ass, keep him away from the mic, rinse, and repeat. Making him the face of the company, that I don't think is going to happen.

I've said it before, I wouldn't mind a Reigns heel turn but for the love of God don't turn him into another corporate stooge.
We need that as much as I need a hole in my head.

For YEARS, you couldn't go on this forum without finding posts and threads about "All I want is Cena out of the main event and out of the title picture." He's pretty much been out of both for the majority of the last couple of years. Find me a post that says, "Well, I'm OK with Cena in the midcard. That's cool with me." That is a bold faced lie, or plain ignorance. There have been PLENTY of people on this forum alone who said they loved Cena's US Open challenge. Take this thread for example: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/531289/opinion-cena-title-open-challengeMore people liked it than didn't. Of course there is always going to be people who didn't like it, that's the beauty of different opinions. Yeah, you're wasting your time. saintpats gimmick is basically "GRRR INTERNET" and he has a habit of ignoring any facts to the contrary. On the topic though, Reigns doesn't need salvaging, as that implies he's damaged. Reigns himself is fine, he just needs to shake off the influence of whoever tells him to cut those promos about beanstalks and tater tots. The rest is just getting the crowd to connect with him, and I don't have the answer for that one. That's up to them.

As stereotypical as it is, heel turn, have them talk about him being an A+ player, and talk up how he's succeeded where Seth failed.

Heel Roman becomes the bassist for metallica.
"I AM Robert Trujillo, not Roman Reigns."
Ambrose: "Dude, you're not Robert Trujillo."
Roman: "Am too, shut up" *shove*

I've said before, the story needs to go that Roman turns and aligns with The Authority, and when Rollins comes back and sees what they've done to Reigns, everything that's happened to him clicks and Rollins turns face to battle Triple H for Roman's soul.

I'm all for the corporate heel turn as long as The Authority are a thing (and they will be for a long time.) So why not make the turn make sense? Why the f**k would you fight them? Join the machine that it's well-known want you to be the champion/company guy, make boatloads of money. And he doesn't have to be a cowardly champion, just a smart one. Build the Authority in-ring protection back up to surround Reigns. Someone wants to challenge for the title? They've got to beat this guy, that guy, etc. Reigns accepts a PPV match...wins clean because he CAN do it. Then you finally build up the next champion(face, obviously) and perhaps throw in a bit of the cowardly stuff when he knows someone can beat him. Ambrose would be perfect here as the anti-establishment guy that Reigns knows has an actual shot at winning if he doesn't resort to the cheap stuff. Plus you build up the previous challengers with the wins against the corporate guys up until their loss to Reigns which, despite their loss, would be challenging matches making both guys look great. A bigger plus is that you've got a big chunk of timeline written right there, especially if you have the penultimate Reigns/Ambrose match at Mania.

Either...
1. Turn him heel and have him be the chosen corporate champion, dropping all of his current mannerisms and totally reinventing himself.
Or...
2. Make him the silent badass destroyer of worlds that people desperately want to cheer for but aren't being given.
The problem there is the second one has a short shelf life; he's still running off residual love from the Shield there, but if he did start doing that there's no guarantee people would still be into it a year from now. A heel turn and total reinvention of himself would be the better call for the longterm.

I really believe in order for him to become a face that everyone would accept, he really needs to turn heel first. If he was booked properly during that heel run, when he turns back face people would eat it up i think.

Reigns going heel not only would savage this whole "is Reigns ready to be that guy" thing but it would also allow Reigns to be himself, give his character more depth, allow more fans to be invested in his angles and it also would make the WWE Championship picture be less predictable. It also gives him more guys to work with, allows him to really control the audience given as a heel you're allowed to do more and more importantly, more than anything, it would be the company playing off the crowd reaction and if they go with Reigns as the corporate champion, it allows them to do what they do best in angles and that's play off of real life. It's sad because everything can easily be solved if they make one turn but they're too stubborn at times. It would work as long as he wasn't just being yet another stooge for QUEEN DONG, The Steph Infection. Just take a Z-pack for that. He'll be fine. He might shit himself every once in a while though.

Roman is in a no win situation. They're trying to book him like a Cena babyface and he just isn't that. He's like Bubsy to Sonic, and even though he has periods or time when he is really over; he ends up reverting to that. Moreover, this company can't seem to book him or anyone in an angle where he isn't up against the Authority, who over their 3 years of existing, have made on guy look good, Daniel Bryan, and they had to do that kicking and screaming.
