Lucha Libre Elite has started airing on Azteca 7 in Mexico and is said to have great production values. Lashley has been working with them and Magno (recently released by WWE) has shown up there. It's essentially the sister promotion of CMLL. Bad news though as they got bumped from their timeslot to an later hour, they was airing around 6 the first shows and now they are to be airing around 11 or so. Extreme Tiger (Tigre Uno) and Ultimo Guerrero were said to have a very good match yesterday with money being thrown in a sign the crowd really liked the match.

Flamita is dropping the name Octagon Jr. and leaving AAA after all the controversy surrounding the original Octagon.

Flamita is dropping the name Octagon Jr. and leaving AAA after all the controversy surrounding the original Octagon. Octagon's dickery was just the catalyst for Flamita calling it quits. Flamita was not happy about AAA hyping his Octagon Jr character up and making him a curtain jerker so quickly. Plus he is still young and want to blaze his path without the stigma attached to the Octagon name. Knowing AAA, they will stick someone else under the mask and pass them off as the same person.

I've been hearing about what Octagon has been doing and how Flamita was upset with the approach and direction of his character as little more than filler, him showing up unannounced and assaulting and ripping off his mask was the last straw it seemed.
This also means he's done with LU as well.

AAA will apparently do their second annual Lucha Libre World Cup this year, and are looking to expand it. I really hope Lucha Underground can get its own team this year.

How has Octagon been a dick? Flamita (as Octagon Jr) was doing a signing and Octagon came out an SUV surrounded by his family and bodyguards, supposedly armed. He confronted Flamita, yelling at him. He ended up grabbing and taking off his mask. He gave a fake apology on ESPN Mexico, but later took back the apology on Twitter.

As someone who doesn't see a lot of CMLL why are people booing Mistico? Because he is not the original Mistico. It especially hurts him because the 1st and to fans, the best Mistico is back in CMLL. He also tends to get injured whenever he does build momentum.

Also teams from Lucha Underground, Pro Wrestling Wave, Oz Academy, NOAH, and TNA will be represented. No ROH this year. Probably because of the NJPW deal.

Results from the AAA Show last night {Spoiler}1) Faby Apache & Mary Apache b Lady Shani & Taya Taya replaced Keira. Mary beat Shani. Both Apaches asked for a title shot. Taya pointed out they still had not defeated her so no.
2) Averno & Chessman © DQ Argenis & Australian Suicide [AAA TAG] Dropped to the second match. Challengers determined on 04/18 in Leon. Bengala and Ricky Marvin were seconds and fought at the end, a rudo fouled a tecnico and a tecnico fouled a rudo back to give the tecnicos the win. Copetes, who had started the match and been replaced by Piero, came back out to overrule the result and give the rudos the win by DQ. 2nd defense.
3) Pentagón Jr. b Daga, Joe Lider [Lucha Libre Victoria World Cup qualifier] Prior to the match, a video aired of Halloween beaten and tied up in the locker room, having been attacked by Taya and Kahn Del Mal (and maybe the other Perros before the match.) Daga beat Lider, then Pentagon beat Daga to take the first spot. Los Fronterizos interrupted the post match and rescued Halloween, who had been left at top of Arena Xalapa.
4) Texano Jr. b Garza Jr., Taurus [Lucha Libre Victoria World Cup qualifier] Taurus beat Garza. Mesias tried to cost Texano the match, but Garza came back to stop him and Texano beat Tuarus to qualify.
5) Monsther Clown, Murder Clown, Psycho Clown COR Damián 666, Nicho el Millionario, Pagano Los Fronterizos were counted out when the Perros brawled with them. Los Fronterizos were thrown in an ambulance and driven away.
6) El Mesías b La Parka A earlier Mesias & Cage in-ring bit include the Trump video being shown again. Cage revealed he was injured and unable to wrestle tonight. Texano taunted Mesias into facing La Parka in a singles match instead. (Electroshock went unmentioned, apparently having quit.) Cage was healthy enough to interfere in the match frequently, helping Mesias get the win. Texano made the save after the match, though he and Parka didn’t appear friendly.
