KUSHIDA will be in Mexico from 6/23 to 7/16 and Michael Elgin from 6/22 to 7/12. The rest of the people involved in CMLL's Grand Prix are already working shows and will be up to the ippv.

Bet Kushida will be making a defense of the IWGP Jr title while there, perhaps against Volador or Mascara Dorada before he goes to the CWC

The plan according to WON is for Elgin to defend The IC Title during his stay in Mexico against Ultimo Guerrero at some point.

In very interesting news, PJ Black worked last night for ELITE's international tournament. Why this interesting? Because Black works for Lucha Underground and by proxy, AAA. ELITE is basically a CMLL side project. LU/AAA pulled Brian Cage from working that promotion claiming his contract prohibit that. So either AAA/LU contracts are not as binding as they claim or PJ breached his contract.

He wouldn't be the first wrestler to f*** this up.

Plus AAA is TNA level of disorganized so they might thought all of the LU contracts are the same.

I don't entirely doubt that, given how Konnan used to handle getting so many luchadors booked in the states, being one of the only one of them with US experience and business sense. I'm sure he probably got a cut of that, but still, he did help a lot of them out.

PJ Black did an interview yesterday basically saying he is in a lot of trouble with LU for doing the ELITE gig. But is hopeful of returning back to the company. Guess Black's character is about to get killed off/go MIA.

Guess Black's character is about to get killed off/go MIA. Is he daft or just plain stupid? Here he has a nice comfortable gig with a company that's on the raise and he's put with guys who he has good chemistry with and obtained some gold and he goes and possibly squanders it all.

Maybe it's just how I was raised but why on earth would you not read a contract forward and backwards before signing?

That's basically what happened with Hernandez too (surprised he didn't get killed off, or maybe he was seen as too high-profile for that to work).

Hernandez didn't get killed off because AAA still wanted to use him and killing him off would been awkward because AAA use LU as a canon. Like Mil Muertes and Judas Mesias are different people but Aerostar is not. Since I don't think PJ is/was going to be used by AAA, he is going on a long walk down a short pier.

Also, whenever it shows up online: You got to watch the Zeuzix vs Sugehit match from last night. One of the best luchadora matches this year. Zeuzix is highly underrated as a performer and someone who would be getting a lot of praise if she was more high profile.

But then, Mil Muertes was used at the AAA World Cup while he was still "dead" inside King Cuerno's display case (his revival came the next week).

Another feather in Big Mike's cap for this year, who'd he beat in the finals, Volador?
