You'd think with Terry Funk they'd have gone with the branding iron, but I guess a Chainsaw Charlie reference is alright, too. I don't think the Texas crowd would understand the branding iron. What would they know about cattle?

...as opposed to what era? Bring Back the Murder-tude era... The CZW era. A guy actually used a chainsaw in a match against Ambrose once IIRC.

Bring Back the Murder-tude era... The CZW era. A guy actually used a chainsaw in a match against Ambrose once IIRC. If we're thinking of the same match, that was an electric carving knife with a fake blade. Ambrose himself has said it basically just moved the blood around. And I'm sorry, but saying "HE WON'T USE IT IN THIS PG ERA!" is one of the stupidest things I've ever read on here. Because they'd totally have someone use it in the 90's, people were willing to lose limbs for the gimmick back then dammit! Come on. I know people can go a bit far with the whole "BRING BACK THE ATTITUDE ERA" shit, but this has to be the epitome.

I don't see the point of even introducing a chainsaw. Its not like he'll actually use it in the pg era against anyone People have mentioned it in multiple threads and its been in conversations on twitter. Even if they don't bring it out, people are discussing the match so it was successful.

Yeah the only way a chainsaw can be used in the match is if he's cutting a wooden weapon in half so he can dual weld. But that wouldn't make sense because it means Ambrose would need a saw horse with clamps and safety goggles. And in that case why can't he use a table saw? f***ing workers comp and safety era. BRING BAK DA GREAT DEPRESSION NON UNIONIZED NO SAFETY NO BENEFITS NO RIGHT FOR REFUSAL OF NON SAFE WORK ERA!!!!!1

I can see the post-match--regardless of who wins--involving Brock respecting Dean for putting up with his assault.
I'd love for them to let Dean beat Brock and be the Conqueror of the Conqueror, though. Hell, why not, he's as over a face as anyone since Bryan.

^ That segment was priceless...From Terry Funk's odd cadence (that had to be a pre-tape but damn did it ever come across like an old school live Nitro backstage segment from their dying days or something, or Funk would only do one take lol) to Dean having trouble starting it the first time...seeing this GIF though, I think my favorite part is the dude in the background carrying on his conversation and completely no-selling the hobo with the chainsaw (and the camera crew in front of him. At least the nice looking girl back there is somewhat concerned/amused) lol "If I had a son ... I'd want him to be Dean Ambrose. If I had a daughter ... here's a chainsaw." Best promo all year.

Should've got AJ to help him given that he once almost chainsawed Glenn Gilberti in TNA!

I totally miss the good ol' days in the WWE where people were allowed to use chainsaws, swords, and knives in matches! I remember seeing Hulk Hogan vs. Kamala where Hogan used a chainsaw to cut off both of Kamala's legs! Stupid PG kiddie era ruining all of the fun!
