God I f***ing love the Indykiller gimmick that he has and he plays it so well. I kinda wish that his match with Crews in London hadn't been as weaksauce as it had been (that's what happens when you just have Uhaa playing a face in peril the entire time) just so that the go back to ROH line could have been the cherry on top of a great match instead of being a glimmer of gold in an otherwise rubbish bout.
edit: I want him to try and force his way into the Cruiserweight tournament under a mask or something only to bomb out in the first round. There's just so many midgets for him to kill

I've never been happier to be wrong than when I said Corbin sucked, he's really grown on me over the past 6 months. Same. His belly button smile still creeps me out, and what I call the Rupee on his chest is just silly, but as a character he's spot on. I hope Corbin does well in Dallas I see what you did there. I'll give you some LEEway in LOO of the situation. a free (multi) pass if you will.

I hope Corbin does well in Dallas Ha. And after I called for people being given Diva Plavalaguna and Ruby Rhod gimmicks yesterday...

This shit is vindicating right here. I've been saying Corbin's good since his debut, and he went from "good" to "amazing" at Takeover Brooklyn. Dude's f***ing awesome, his promos are on point, and his in-ring stuff is damn good.
I just wanna see him beat up more midgets and manlets dammit!

I'll also give a shout out to the End of Days he delivered for an adoring fan on NXT 327. I can't wait until he's on the main roster pummeling everyone.

I think he needs to be called up before he gets to stale on NXT.

I can't say enough about this dude's improvement over the last few years. Used to hate his guts and felt he was next in line for a Romanesque mega-push but I'm glad they're giving him time to develop.
That being said, I still think he still looks doughy physique-wise but who's to say that won't eventually improve?
My fantasy booking idea would be for him to be a heel version of what fans think about Roman. Not in the Rollins or Orton sense of the "face of WWE" but a guy who is vocal about being the "it factor" and getting all these huge opportunities he may not deserve. It would use our own gripes against us, and it would be awesome. Build nuclear heat for the guy, and let him do exactly what he does on the mic now.
I'm at the point where I'd almost expect him to win the NXT Championship at the next Takeover, and I'm not even mad. A year ago, I would be. But he's carved himself out a great niche. I just hope he doesn't hold the title for the next five years.

Face Baron Corbin has heard of all of these people and goes into detail on some of their best work outside WWE.

There's this whole underlying idea that he was scouted directly by the company because of his football background and that the company saw big things in him. But now it's been 3+ years in developmental and his hair is receding, and his body won't whip itself into the ULTRA-JACKED Muscle & Fitness Magazine Cover shape that Vince and co. love so much. And all these highly-touted new signings are coming around the corner, and Baron can hear their footsteps creeping up behind him. He's stepped up his work, he's stepped up expressing his personality, but it's still not good enough to get the call-up. So he's taking it out on all the "indie darlings" that he knows the fans will try to will into his spot.

So awesome of him to deliver a line that was written for him. I kid, I kid. I like him, too.

Was growing on me when he started squashin dudes with the End of Days. Fully won me over in his TakeOver match vs Rhyno. Been my dude since.
His gimmick is awesome and it allows him to work with and learn from such top end seasoned indy guys, it's really brilliant.
Wish he was in a few years ago, him being paired with Rated R Edge as a bodyguard would have been grand.

I want this man to go onto great things. He is money. The best part is that he proves the "internet fans only like indy darlings" thing is complete horseshit. It's hard to find someone on this forum who isn't a fan of the guy, and he's the exact opposite of an indy darling. Give a guy the chance to do his own thing and feel genuine, and he'll get over. The main roster desperately needs to learn this lesson. Dude just has a presence when he's in that ring. His promos have improved tremendously as evident by this one here and his in ring ability is up there as well. He is going places.

I appreciate the insight, Polaris. I didn't want to sound like I was being harsh on the guy...in the grand scheme of things, his physique is not a big deal to me. If they can do what you suggested and work that into an angle, that would be unprecedented by modern day WWE's standards.
I accept it if the overall wrestler is entertaining enough. I've had my fair share of body image issues throughout my life, so the last thing I want to seem is judgmental of it. Only a very minor pet peeve that I forget about when he's in the ring.

Austin Aries is gonna need dat f*** money Beautiful. Only thing missing is Wrestling Superstar "That Guy," who Tom Phillips was so concerned for during Joe's rampage at the end of the show...

I enjoyed him using an "indy" move to pin his indy jobber (like a stolen Blue Thunderbomb or whatever they called his version of it) hopefully he can somehow stick the winner of the Zayn/Nakamura match with it as well.

I was never a fan of the guy back when he was just squashing guys in seconds. His match with Rhyno turned me completely around on the guy and really made me wanna see more of his work.
