It would be strange if he wasn't AT wrestlemania in a non wrestling role. There's no real reason for him not to be, it's not like he's in a wheelchair.

Unless they really decide to panic I have a feeling Cena's getting back into the Gatekeeper role he was in before he got injured.

Cena will help Shane win and then wrestle Taker later this year.
Although the WM 9 ending would be hysterical because I could see the crowd actually cheering Cena like the WWE always wanted them to.

I like Cena and I'll be on the first line of defense whenever someone complains about him, but I'd rather he not be there if he's not wrestling. I don't really want to see him in a 20-40 minute segment that leads nowhere and does nothing for anyone.

I am not saying it will happen, but what if Shane McMahon were "attacked" earlier in the day and John Cena took his place?
I've been thinking this was going to be the scenario for some time. Shane is attacked and incapacitated - can't face the Undertaker. Who else on the roster would get the legends' rub from beating the Undertaker, while saving RAW from the Authority, blowing up the Death Star and turfing the ring into the lava inside Mount Doom?

The WM9 ending would be awesome. I hate Cena's overwhelming win count, but not against the Authority, that makes me cheer him wildly.

Y'know, I'd be completely okay with Cena winning the battle royal. Or even better have him be the runner-up - instant feud starter and be a bigger rub for the winner than actually winning the match would be.

I liked the WM9 ending and wouldn't mind seeing it with Cena, even though it's very unlikely that he will take part this Sunday.

Apparently Cena lost some weight given how he looked on the Today Show but it is a more leaner Cena. Wonder how he will look when it's time for a match. Maybe it's time for that heel turn. A leaner Cena could be meaner. It might make fans keener.

I'd laugh so hard if that happened. Now, I'm gonna be kinda disappointed if it doesn't.

A Wrestlemania return to take the place of Shane would be welcome and main event worthy but I doubt it happens. One this I will say, I don't think there is an argument on buys lost since they are pushing the show as free for new people, there is no money lost by not advertising him. Actually I think it'd help drive buys by reestablishing that "Anything can happen" feeling they lost, IMO.

Source: PWInsider - John Cena is almost ready to return to the ring and is expected to be cleared by WWE any time now, according to PWInsider. It's possible Cena has been cleared already and is expected to appear at WrestleMania 32 on Sunday in some fashion. It was just reported this week that Cena still had months to go but PWInsider reports he's almost ready to go. Ace reporting right there. You might almost expect that it's possibly ace reporting of some fashion. Maybe.

That's a nice photoshop but there's no way Cena could get Big Show up for the AA.

I seriously want this to happen now if only because of how funny it would be. "Roman Reigns, you now have to face...JOHN CENA!" *crowd pops for Cena like crazy* *Mania ends to THANK YOU CENA chants* *Cena smiles, shrugs and is like "Eh, I'll take it."*

Cena could pop-up for a heel turns, but making Roman lose would only get him cheered!
Don't see him full on taking Shane's spot, because if you were having Taker vs Cena at Mania in a cell in front what will be the largest WWE crowd ever you'd want to promote the shit out of that before the day of the event.
