Do you guys think a few names will work both the Super J and GCS tournaments? Doubt it. Anyone who works one would prob be excluded from the other

It's not as unlikely as you may think... They've had Quackenbush work as a guest trainer at the Performance Center not too long ago, so you'd think there was at least some dialogue on the matter of including some CHIKARA people. Maybe we'll have a trade, CHIKARA guys for the GCS and maybe, just, maybe New Day for King of Trios? New Day vs. Team Sendai Girls~!

The Cruiserweight weight limit has traditionally been 220-225 lbs. Ciampa is a "high end Cruiserweight". He's got to be over that weight.
This reminds me when they tried to bill Christian as a cruiserweight, well at least we got the chicken suit sketch from it.
Ha loved that!! The first press release that came out for the Global Cruiserweight Series said the weight limit for this was 205 lbs, so they might be 'gimmicking' the weights, or abandoning it altogether.

Congrats on Marty getting in I remember watching him on the wrestling channel. I don't think Scurll, if that's who you're speaking about, is confirmed yet. Hopefully soon though.

I kinda hope Jimmy Havoc gets a look He'd definitely be something out of the norm for them. Kinda hoping for Tommy End, too, but I just don't see WWE fans getting either over (will gladly be proven wrong).

Man I would love to see some of the Colony in this but that might not happen It's not as unlikely as you may think... They've had Quackenbush work as a guest trainer at the Performance Center not too long ago, so you'd think there was at least some dialogue on the matter of including some CHIKARA people. Ophidian and Shynron seem like the clearest fits. Maybe JFDC.

HHH: Who's the skinny English kid? I didn't want him.
Cronie: Zack Sabre Jr.? You told me to get him specifically.
HHH: Then why isn't he dressed like X-Pac? I'm confused.
Cronie: X-Pac?
HHH: Yeah, he's got a mask with a tongue. Whole nine yards.

I can't see any recent reports about Scurll and Ibushi (of course Sombra is now under contract in NXT so he will be a definite anyway) unlike the other already confirmed names. Can somebody post a link? I kinda hope Jimmy Havoc gets a look He'd definitely be something out of the norm for them. Kinda hoping for Tommy End, too, but I just don't see WWE fans getting either over (will gladly be proven wrong). End is about 6lbs over the weight limit but I am sure he could lose it or they could bill him as at the weight without too much hassle. He is too good of a prospect, undoubtedly one of my current favourites and would completely own in this.

How many actually make it to the televised part, then? Only 8? Because I'm assuming the EVOLVE/RevPro "qualifying" matches will not be shown. It's unclear from the last report I'm reading. I thought that the televised part is the 32 wrestlers, but EVOLVE/RevPro/PROGRESS's qualifiers are in addition to that and to get people into the field of 32 (so there will be 32 left standing for the GCS, with whatever qualifying matches happen.)

Noam Dar is That Dude and I want him to do well in this. Hopefully he impresses enough people to get into NXT. He's not necessarily an "Indy star" so he wouldn't get the super-push like others (which is good, since NXT is looking top heavy at the moment), but he does have a bit of a following which could get more eyes on the product.

I was thinking the same thing about Ciampa but wiki bills him at 210 so he would fit the bill. I guess by the letter of it, yeah, but I tend to think of "cruiserweight" as more of a style thing, and that's definitely not Ciampa's style. "It's not about weight limits, it's about NO limits!" I disagree, one of my all-time favorite cruisers was Dean Malenko, and he hardly ever flew.

So is it actually going to be a TV show like NXT or just a bunch of random dudes in masks flipping around?
