I remember thinking it was goofy as heck back when I first saw it on TV as a six year old kid. That stupid ass Monster Truck Sumo Match is how I realized wrestling was a work lol. Giant fell off the roof and was ok-dokey twenty minutes later in his match against Hogan. DOD was just ridiculous, the Shark made me laugh though. Seeing Earthquake yell shark attack and biting people was hysterical.

I remember reading somewhere that the Yeti's bizarre outfit was due to the fact that they were planning on him being played by El Gigante/Giant Gonzalez if the character stuck around. Yep, Gonzalez was supposed to have the spot, but they found out at the last minute he was too shot. I still theorize his Yeti outfit would have been more like his WWF outfit, and when he was pulled out of the angle, they quickly came up with the "mummy" thing to hide Reece in until they could figure the situation out (spoiler: they didn't) You telling me making the Yeti a Super Giant Ninja wasn't the natural progession for the character?

Not many other options since Hogan wanted to avoid Vader, and Flair had been used up. Orndorff, Austin, Bubba....

How could an angle that started with a fat, balding, middle aged man running through a forest in his underwear possibly turn out goofy?

I know it's been said before, but how bad was Ron Reis? A guy who was THAT big, and he couldn't get more than a cup of coffee as a borderline job guy during the hottest period in wrestling history.

But wasn't that the entire point? Instead of having legit stars jobbing to Hogan, they booked a bunch of cartoonish supervillains who could be destroyed by the hero, Hulk Hogan. Yeah the group was built out of necessity. Sullivan didn't had anyone that wanted to put Hogan over, Vader and Rick Rude refused. The other reason for the group was because they were Hogan's friends that basically came to the company at Hogan's request, and Kevin didn't knew where to put them.

My favorite part of that was Heenan shitting all over either Bischoff or Schiavone's explanation of did he fall on the water or the parking lot side?

The sheer ridiculousness of the gimmicks I could actually deal with-such was common for the time. But the idea of Kevin Sullivan, the pudgy half pint, as the leader of this horde of monstrous badasses was pitifully laughable.

Given Gonzales WWE outfit, him being the original choice for a "Yeti" character makes sense But even so (if true) when they decided to switch it then why not rename him The Mummy
Its all incredibly horrible looking back as an adult, but in fairness in 1995 when you had Power Rangers and goofy cartoons of the like, its not totally out of place if your catering for kids. Thank goodness by 1996 wrestling evolved into another direction

Worth it for "AHHh, It's NOT HOT!" Without any sort of context whatsoever, I showed that to my 17 year old daughter, who finds that riotous! She isn't a wrestling fan, but likes bad/goofy shit like Botchamania...and Sonic 06.

So was Lex Luger ever considered a part of the Dungeon? Jimmy Hart was managing him at the same time he was managing the Dungeon but it doesn't seem like he interacted much with them, so I'm not sure.

Wikipedia lists him as a member, and Hogan and Savage would criticise Sting for being friends with a Dungeon member.
