They certainly seem to have grown into it. Wasn't terribly impressed with some of their earlier work but lately they've been spot on.

I criticised them a while back, thinking that there were a few highlights, but a lot of mediocrity. But they've really stepped it up in the last eighteen months or so. Some seriously great themes, and several that honestly are in the argument for the best themes in pro wrestling.
Sasha, Becky, Sami, Bayley, Enzo & Cass. All feel iconic already, and that's a great achievement. Then there are those that just fit the wrestler perfectly, like Carmella, Apollo Crews, American Alpha.
The Nakamura theme is un-freaking-believable. Loved it as soon as I heard it. Strings in a wrestler's entrance music? Love it.
I actually used the NXT Spotify playlist at the gym today.

The only think I do not like, mainly with lyrical tracks, is that they only make around a minute or so of music and then just literally repeats again. Obvious not that important on instrumental tracks as its been done before (Stone Cold, Undertaker, etc.), but it's way more noticeable on lyrical tracks. Somehow they managed that on Corey Graves' theme too, by adding a solid extra minute of chorus repeats to the WWE version of it.

They've really been churning out the hits in the last year or so.

My big complaint would be they make about thirty seconds of a good song and then just loop it, when I would really like full versions. I honestly assume that is a WWE direction to save money.

It was a while ago but Bayley & Carmella did videos of them singing wwe themes in the car and when Sasha's came on Bayley said Sasha did the vocals and I believe played most it not all of the instruments. You're confused there, yeah she does the vocals on her own song but she isn't CFO$ anymore than Shawn Michaels is Jim Johnston for doing his own vocals. ^That's CFO$. This is less good. When you can't trust Bayley who can you trust? and everybody knows Shawn did the vocals and Sherri played the guitar.

Considering Jim Johnston's themes pretty much seem to stick to one style overall, loving the variety from CFO$. Personally (again, just me), I almost want to say the themes aren't what I would expect with the person they're matched up for the first second (AJ, Finn, Joe, Nakamura, I'm thinking) but somehow it's just perfect. Hell, I even liked Joe's first theme when he debuted on NXT I'm split on Joe's theme. I don't like it as much as Crush U Up, but it's probably as close as you can legally get. His current NXT theme is 100x better imo.

This is the best era of WWE music in the history of the company. Not saying in all of wrestling. But in this company's history, I'm more sold on entrances as a whole than at any other time that I can recall.

Yeah the looping is the only thing I do not like about them. Tyson Kidd's theme would be a great full song.
