What!? They finished filming it already, and it's not out for nearly a year and a half! Unless Daisy is just saying all her scenes are done. The latter. Mark Hamill tweeted last week he was done filming, and a week or so before that Anthony Daniels did too. So it's a string of people finishing their scenes. ....actually, now that I recall, Mark's posted pictures from a wrap party in the last few days. So it may indeed be all done, and Daisy had a few extra scenes or promo shots to do...? Filming has indeed wrapped. We can likely expect reshoots at some point later this year, or early next year.

Keep in mind too that post-production for a Star Wars film probably takes the majority of the time.

And all the CGI stuff, too.

It's a Rian Johnson film.
Wonder if it will have a Joseph Gordon-Levitt cameo. Like JJ's friend Simon Pegg in TFW.

Keep in mind too that post-production for a Star Wars film probably takes the majority of the time. And multiple re-shoots.

Well of course he's going to have a decent sized role in the new trilogy. He's the one who sets the Skywalkers on their paths to becoming Jedi, so it would make sense for his ghost to show up and help Luke teach Rey.

Are they waiting for the release of the teaser trailer later this month to reveal the film's title? Because "The Force Awakens" as the title of Episode VII was announced a full 13 months before the movie was released and we're now around that same time frame for Episode VIII.

I would assume it would come with a teaser trailer or something attached to Rogue one as they probably don't want to release any info on Episode 8 in fear it would take away from Rogue 1's hype.

The fact that we have Dario from License to Kill in this movie is a win for me as I really liked Benicio del Toro

I would even say we get the title after Rogue One, so as not to either encroach on Rogue One's theatrical release or get lost in the giant Star Wars buzz that'll be everywhere in 2 weeks. Better to create their own Star Wars headline than share space with other Star Wars headlines.

I was browsing /tv/ this morning and there's a pretty interesting theory on a Rogue One/new trilogy connection.
