Everyone knows about football (American and association), baseball, and basketball, but what are some sports that don't get talked about?
For me, it's college wrestling.

I don't know why it is, but when it is on TV, I am addicted to Curling.

I really enjoy tennis. The cardio of some of these guys is off the charts, the long rallies are exciting, and the top end talent is as good as it has been in a long time. I prefer slams to watching most baseball or basketball games, honestly. Hockey is also vastly underrated by American fans, due to lack of superstar personas and medoa-made stroylines.

Outside of the big 3 in the US (NFL, Baseball and Basketball), I think Hockey has a bigger following compared to other sports like Soccer and Auto Racing.

Bandy- It's basically Ice hockey played with a larger ball which you can actually see, played on a large field and larger goals. I think it was a World Cup about 8 years ago which was televised, but I've never seen it on tv since.but it was a fantastic sport. Big fan of speedway. Looking forward to the start of the Speedway GP is a couple of weeks. I think Speedway is the most dangerous sport going. Everytime I watch a race it seems like somebody goes flying off their bike in every other heat. You've got to be crazy to partake in that sport!

In terms of media coverage, hockey is probably below both of those sports, because ESPN is butthurt (they are coming around.......slowly). NBC doesn't go out of it's way to push it on it's major network, but Fox and ESPN2 push NASCAR quite a bit. I think hockey is majorly underrated as far as a casual fan sport in the US. It's great live, and it's great on TV. I'd much, much rather watch a random hockey game than a random race or soccer game or baseball game. The pace is good, and there's always something happening. You'd think it would be bigger given the ADD audience where football is king.

Arena/Indoor Football. People don't take it seriously, even though it's more fun and cheaper to watch than the outdoor variety. At least I feel it's more fun to watch, especially Indoor Football.

When I had ESPN America I would watch the (Women's) World Cup of Softball every year and greatly enjoyed it. Those girls play it hard and really seem to have fun out there. The fact that you had some cuties in there helped too (a nice change of pace from Yankee clean-shaven guy and bearded guy everywhere else).

I like watching tennis, mainly the women. I grew up watching Chrissy, Martina, Steffi, Tracy...the golden age. There's a lot of untapped talent out there.

Ski/Snowboard cross can be insane. Or really boring. Either way I find it's one of the better ways to watch people race, there's more consistent excitement than say F1.
(I like Tennis but don't consider it underrated)

Volleyball is very fun to watch live. Not even talking about the swimsuits. Maybe because American University has consistently had a good one for over a decade now.

Arena football was actually one of the city of Phoenix's biggest sports draws until the Cardinals started actually winning games.
