{Spoiler}What??? I thought we were done with Jay Briscoe's completely undeserved flirtation with the World Title? Why does he get to headline this event exactly?
He had two title reign and still filed to have any match other than Ladder War or the Fight Without Honor that was any good. But now here we are with a potential third World title run for this hack? What the f***?
Not only is this just completely rehashing last year's main event, (Only this time without the intrigue of there being 2 titles on the line and having 2 unbeatable stars going at it) it's wasting ENORMOUS potential to have a great match with actually talented workers, I mean honestly, if Jay absolutely has to receive a title shot why not make it a 4-way? Colt Cabana (Who should have a rematch due to the fact he basically had the match won, before Bullet Club) Vs Adam Cole (Who is looking like the leader of the ROH branch of Bullet Club) Vs Jay Lethal Vs Jay Briscoe.
That way they can cover for Briscoe's complete and utter lack of talent. But instead we get this shit.
Steve Corino cut a promo today that was better than most wrestlers under 40. They don't make em like him anymore. Incredible stuff.
Yeah, it was pretty great. He was always a solid mic worker, but now I really wanna see him kick Whitmer's ass.
Also, holy shit, that crowd hated BJ.
Haha yeah he got the only legit heel heat throughout the show. Also it was awesome how the crowd was apathetic towards Adam Page at the start but he eventually won us over big time.

news & notes from PWInsider:
LIGER UPDATE, NYC AND MORE RING OF HONOR NEWS by Mike Johnson @ 1:31 PM on 5/12/2016
Jushin Liger returned to the ring at the ROH TV taping in Toronto and even did a superplex, so he's cleared for action and will wrestle Mark Briscoe in NYC this Saturday.
For those who have asked, the new championship ROH is planning to unveil is not said to be a Women's championship.
Kaimatachi should be in regularly going forward.
There's been some readers asking why ROH isn't running Hammerstein Ballroom since Terminal 5 is universally disliked by fans in comparison. ROH would love to run Hammerstein but the venue has made it a rule that in order to run there, you not only rent out the facility but also pay and use their production staff and equipment. ROH obviously has their own staff and equipment and doesn't want to do that, nor do they want to pay the increased costs involved. ROH is open to running there again but it's a business decision and until it's feasible for ROH, Hammerstein remains a possibility, but not a likely one, for the future.

Another very good match. With the exception of one moment where Young caught himself in the corner, this was a damn fine back and forth wrestling match. Young really took it to KUSHIDA and they did some spots to place off Young's gimmick as the Last Real Man that the crowd really got into. Three in a row.

BJ Whitmer entered the ring after intermission and took the ring mic. He began cutting a promo on Steve Corino. The crowd chanted for him to "Shut the F*** up." He said that Corino was a horrible husband and a horrible father. He was getting a ton of heat and the crowd was drowning him out. {Spoiler}"As I was setting up, Cheeseburger and Davey Vega defeated Jay Diesel and a partner who's name I didn't catch. We will update that name later."
Since this probably doesn't warrant a thread, why is ROH doing a recap show tonight on Jay Lethal's title reign?
Any idea when a regular episode is happening again?
Next week. They do focus episodes every few years to set up for a big match or give some breathing room to spotlight a talent. Adam Cole and The Briscoes have both received specials themselves.

Yeah. It's just that last week was a Global Wars preview show, so I found this happening two weeks in a row odd at first.

the do it because otherwise they'd have to tape the post-ppv show before the ppv, and it would kind of give away the results of the ppv if the champ were to come out and talked about losing the title two weeks before he's supposed to have the match
