Anyone tried it? My store has them for a dollar. I think its pretty good. Its not like really different, but its not the same either. Not something I'd get often, but I like it, and it would be great as a mixer.

I wonder what the gimmick is? It is just Pepsi Throwback with another label, or another formula made less sweet for "the taste back then?"

Yeah, it's good stuff. I struggled at first to place the difference between 1983 and regular Pepsi, but it's definitely different and really good.

It could be the tastiest thing on Earth, but that can makes it look very unappealing. I expect soda in a black can to taste like shit for some reason.

There's 2 flavors of 1893. Original Cola and Ginger Cola. The Ginger Cola comes in a gold can. It tasted funny at first, but the more I have it the more I like it.

I read an article saying it's basically just a marketing ploy towards hipsters who are into mixing drinks.

Huh, did not know about this, definitely gonna keep an eye out and pick one up if I see it.
I'm still working my way through all the bottles of Big Red and Big Blue I brought from Dallas.

I tried them both a couple days ago. The Original tasted kind of similar to Pepsi Throwback. The Ginger Cola tasted more like if you mixed Pepsi and REALLY GOOD ginger ale together in a soda fountain.

If that makes any sense. I get it, like in cereal levels of sweetness, there are some that have a touch, and some are a sugarbomb. Sorry for not mentioning cereals, I don't want to start FAN wide nuclear apocalypse.

I misread this as 1983, and thought it was the Pepsi equivalent of New Coke.
I was wrong.

Unfortunately, Coke can't do their original formula as a gimmick.

All of this weird experimental crap and they can't bring back Pepsi Blue. I can't be the only one who liked it, can I?
