Sounds like jealousy and bitterness because Bret was the size of a luchadore but didnt have the athletic ability to do any of the moves.

I tend to agree with Bret. Mexican lucha stuff, while impressive acrobatics, to me is total throw-away crap and I have never enjoyed a second of it. I hate it's incorporation in modern day WWE. They're all pint sized cookie cutter masks to me. Could care less how many botched trampoline entrances or top rope frankensteiners they pull off. It's a bore. The 6 man tags can get silly, but some of the best pro wrestling matches your apt to see are the 1 on 1 matches with something on the line. Atlantis vs UG, Villiano, La Sombra etc...

Actually he jacked the move from Riki Choshu, the man who invented the hold. It wasn't a real move until it appeared on wwf tv. Until it got an actual name, I remember Adrian Adonis wrapped up Dynamite Kid in one at the Wrestling Classic and Gorilla was dumbfounded at what to call it. Some kind of grapevine pretzel leglock.

That's shocking because Gorilla is a well known wordsmith with a knowledge of the human body that the so called Doctor types would be envious of.If I was Mr. Adonis I'd put that I dumbfounded the gorilla on my tombstone which is just slightly more impressive than Out thinking The Fink.

That's somewhat humorous, because the popular story is that Konnan is the person who taught Bret the Sharpshooter. Konnan isn't Mexican.

Did Bret ever have any matches against luchadors? Obviously not in WWF or WCW, but maybe earlier in his career?
