The original source for this was the Pro Wrestling Torch... www.pwtorch.com/site/2016/04/27/17690/Ospreay pointed out he actually signed the contract three weeks ago when he was over for the KUSHIDA match. He originally worked that match under a handshake agreement, but thankfully for him he's locked up now for an undisclosed duration.

As much as I wanted to see him in the GCS, I like this news. He, KUSHIDA and Kyle O'Reilly (and maybe even BUSHI) are the saviors of a mostly dull Juniors division.

I guess this is Gedo's way of saying "neener neener" to Triple H.

He'll likely win the BOSJ and beat Kushida for the belt at Dominion

Smart. Go to Japan and raise his name outside the WWE. Make the the WWE pay more for him in a couple of years.

Cool. That guy has been on a serious role and I think NJPW would be a better fit for him right now instead of WWE, just because they've already got a ton of dudes in Osprey's wheel house.

Dude's young, I think he'd be smart to work Japan for a couple years and come in when he's like 25. Unless he does something really stupid, it's not like they're aren't going to want him in 2 years

He'll likely win the BOSJ and beat Kushida for the belt at Dominion Sounds fun. I'm not positive he'll get a Kushida rub though. They've really been building Kushida up!

I remember omega saying in a interview that he received offers from WWE but declined because, despite of all the benefits, he don't want they to "own" his gimmick But maybe he changed his mind, i dont know

This week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter believes Ospreay signed a two year contract.

He used to be pretty adamant that he wasn't interested in being a part of American wrestling, but now is open about wanting WWE to be his endgame. If I were a betting man, I'd guess their treatment of Balor changed some things EDIT: And the obvious dismissal of DeMott. He had some serious issues with DeMott

Wasn't Kenny in developmental about 10 years ago? I believe he asked for his own release too.
