I have to say the worst one I've heard of was AAA hearing from Abismo Negro's wife that he'd gone missing, and then putting someone else in his mask for the show that night while there was a search party going on.

Can I pretty much just write "Fritz Von Erich" here, and have done with the thread?

Ian "I'll get you next time kid" Rotten's existence.
Pretty much every move Paul Heyman made after becoming ECW's owner, haha to this day I don't know how the checks were sent on a different plane, or how he was able to get Dreamer to work without a paycheck for six months, also giving Stevie Richards a blank contract and telling him to sign there and just trust him. The fact that Heyman isn't in jail is a true miracle.
Dixie Carter and Sorensen...and Roxy....and Tara....and Desmond Wolfe.

To re-iterate what JBY said, Dixie is currently taking the cake for how she screwed over people like Roxy, Jesse Sorenson, etc.
Also, her infamous "My way or the highway" speech which probably made the roster feel like utter dogshit in front of a national audience... Also, her way of getting rid of talent in the "Feast Or Fired" matches..."Oh you got the fired briefcase? Well, guess what sug...today's your lucky day!" Also, her not paying the talent who wrestle and promote her show.

I remember being part of some forums, I think it was these here, and some guy gave his personal account of Paul Heyman ducking and avoiding paying him for security work he'd done. It was both hilarious and tragic.

I'd like to point out as bad as these things were none of them were stabbing a guy in the showers and leaving him to die.

Antonio Inoki putting his talent, guys who had no prior experience in MMA, in matches with legitimate mixed martial artists, putting their safety at risk and destroying their credibility in the process. Especially Nagata vs Mirko Cro Cop.
Inoki's entire MMA obsession was awful but this was the stale bread on a turd sandwich.

Simple. Anyone who disrespects their fans on a personal level. As I've said a few times in the past, several indy promotions here are guilty of that, especially one that recently underwent a split/identity change. And this thread includes links to a great podcast on the topic, as well as more scummy moments: prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32823-wrestlings-scummiest-moment-ever/

Dixie Carter: "But Daaaaaaaad I really want a Wrestling Promotion!" *stomps foot* And if she hadn't there would have been no TNA so many talented performers would have had a much harder time actually making money from wrestling in the 2000s and would likely have left the business when they realised the WWE wasn't going to come calling. Despite popular opinion, TNA existing isn't a scumbag move as no-one else would have stepped in to fill that void. If you want to point at scumbag moves by Dixie, look at the treatment dished out to Daffney, Jessie Sorensen, Jesse Neil, the lowballing of female talent when they were a proven rating draw, wheeling Kurt Angle out when he's not fit to perform, likewise with Jeff Hardy, and so on and so forth.

While my post was a joke, you do bring up an interesting question though. IF the Carters never stepped in and TNA died clear back then, how are we to KNOW that some other company wouldn't of stepped into it's place? For all we know maybe ROH (for example) could of ended up on Spike?

For all we know maybe ROH (for example) could of ended up on Spike? TNA were able to point at the the Fox Sports show they did and use that as proof they had the infrastructure and experience in place to produce a show with okay production values 52 weeks a year, something no other (non WWE) promotion out there at the time could match and that wouldn't have happened without Dixie. RoH's production values were weak until relatively recently and the product wasn't what Spike wanted, compared to the more WWE-like TNA so it's doubtful they ever would have been considered.

Can't blame him to some extent, new japan had legit fighters, judokas and martial artists, besides pride was started by pro wrestlers. On the other hand he wanted to book Kikutaro against Alistair Overeem so there's that.

Or Dixie letting a High as Hell Jeff Hardy wrestle, or Dixie letting wrestler continue to wrestle despite having concussions or Dixie allowing certain individuals to intimidate production, or Dixie letting Josh Matthews commentate, or Dixie on social media, or Dixie with no training thinking it was a smart idea to take a bump where she legit got injured, or Dixie being an on screen character, or Dixie's "Dixie Land rules"
