What was the experience like and what did they think of the show?
I took my mom to an indie show a couple years ago. She actually used to watch when I was growing up, but was of course never as into it as me. She took my brother and me and later just me to shows when I was younger, but hadn't watched any wrestling in years. She said Matt Hardy wasn't that fat.
So out of touch.

I took a friend's stag party group to this year's wXw 16 Carat Gold tournament in Oberhausen, Germany. They asked quite a few questions, but were largely appreciative of the showmanship and athleticism throughout the weekend.

Took my wife to a Monday Night Raw a while back (when Ric Flair was inducted into the HOF)...
Her reactions to certain wrestlers: Hacksaw Jim Duggan: "A 2x4 in one hand and the American Flag in the other....what's not to love about this guy?" Charlie Haas: "Why the hell is he switching to a mask mid-match?" Melina: "Is THAT the one that gave it up to Batista?" Santino: "Is THIS the guy you mark out for? Really??"
An uneasy moment for her was when Vince McMahon and JBL started beating the shit out of Hornswoggle...as an attorney and advocate for child abuse, that got under her skin during the moment, but it was completely forgotten about a few days later.

Bought our usual three tickets for WCW (me, my brother & our friend), then the friend had to work that night. So, brother and I invited another guy. He'd be at his uncle's (where we'd watch only WCW) and was one of those guys who thought the whole wrestling thing was "gay".
After the show, he had a new appreciation for wrestling and the showmanship. The crowd wowed him, all these people getting into this event, sucked him in.
He didn't become a fan.

Brought my wife to Raw 1000. She played games on her phone all night because she was "tired of seeing the old guys talk."

Took two friends to a TNA show for my bachelor party. It was in a hick town a couple hours away. At the time it was cool to chant "Brokeback Mountain" at Beer Money. My friends were a little freaked out with the 10 year olds rednecks yelling f**s.

Well, my cousin went with my uncle and I to a house show that I got tickets to as a gift for eighth grade promotion. He admits he wasn't a fan, but appreciates and can enjoy it.

The last house show I went to, there was a woman that looked like she would rather be on another planet. Her boyfriend/husband on the other hand, looked like a kid experiencing Disney world for the first time

I went with my girlfriend and some friends to the NJPw/ROH show in NYC in May of 2014 I think. My girlfriend is a fan but not too familiar with NJPW people. The other people either never watched or only watched in the AE and know people like the Rock and Stone Cold. The person who never watched hated it because he's a dork and doesn't like anything sports related. The one girl my buddy brought loved it and was chanting "Kill Steve Kill" @ Kevin Steen.

I took my then-girlfriend to an indie show about four years ago. She was expecting it to be like college wrestling, and she was freaking out during the entire first match, saying it was too violent and that she wanted to leave. Between the first and second matches, I gave her a crash course on how pro wrestling works and that calmed her down, but then I had to listen to, "Oh my gawd, this is soooooo fake!" for the rest of the show.
