For the folks that know/follow WhatCulture, they're apparently going to actually start a wrestling company called WCPW. It seems like this is a serious idea, so I'm curious as to what kind of roster they could gather.

Wish I could see the video (my current CPU blocks it). I'm all for new alternatives starting up. That being said knowing a second rate version of Cracked is behind it doesn't fill me with optimism.

I think it's obvious who Adam Blampied is gonna have represent BX against Pacitti Club:

So... I think this is really awesome that a few guys who were fans and content creators have become big enough through the internet to actually attempt to run a promotion. Will it be successful? That I don't know, but it's awesome that their passion led to this for them. It's a dream scenario.

I've always loved Adam's "How WWE should have booked" series. It'll be interesting to see how he books real life storylines and deals with talent in the process.

Great if it works, but GFW and countless other promotions have made me skeptical.

It sounds like 1 match more than a whole company.

So I am on two minds about this entire things.
More showcases of British talent on a bigger stage is a good thing. WhatCulture's Wrestling channel at least seems to have exploded well enough to get on TV and have signs on RAW and stuff. Not that I expect it to be massive but it's getting a significant presence. The YouTube Channel's audience has enough scope to get interest in shows, doing promos and the like and it seems like a good experimental deal.
Along with that, it's sort of their opportunity for some of the louder voices to put their money where their mouth is and book something more interesting then the regular product. Heck, if it's different enough from PROGRESS, Rev Pro, ICW etc, then it's all good.
On the other hand, if this is just them continuing the Pacitti Club/BX feud onto a bigger stage with actual wrestlers and trying to put them in their 'kayfabe' then no thank you. That just seems like a bizarre ego trip. Hopefully that match between the two is just a one off.
On the other other hand, any place that gives Rampage Brown a bigger stage gets my approval automatically. Just have Jack pick Big Damo or Jimmy Havoc and we're good to go.

Didn't realize Goro posted here. And yeah, I'm hoping it's something more than the Pacitti Club/BX feud as well. I don't mind it or anything, but it'd be kind of a waste to focus only on that.

Great if it works, but GFW and countless other promotions have made me skeptical. Yet this is pretty much how ROH got off the ground. Some definite parallels to be found there, I think, at least in terms of the background/history of the people starting it up.

I thought Windy City Pro Wrestling was back....guess not. Was thinking the same thing. I'm like, "Why didn't I hear of this?" (FWIW, it's been 15 years this month since I went to their "Battle of the Belts XIII" show. $5 mezzanine seats, program about $3. Saw a surprise appearance by RVD in the main event. Good times.)

What Culture Wrestling has released a video by Adam Pacitti answering some questions about WCPW:

After seeing that video, I'm kind of wondering what kind of roster they have. I don't know who funds WhatCulture so I don't know if guys like Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, or (when he's eventually released) Ryback are options, but it sounds like they have a pretty decent roster.

The roster's probably going to be more like RevPro or PROGRESS where it's a mixture of British talent and some affordable Internationals coming on occasions.
A Barrett being one I wouldn't rule out as the location would be easy for him get to but I wouldn't think that'd be a first show thing.
Video doesn't answer if the Pacitti Club/B-X stuff is the foundation of the fed or the first show.
The whole thing is surreal. Seems to seal my view that everything outside of the TV/VOD products is more interesting then the actual wrestling because of the high surreal factor.

So...the first match announced for this thing?
Noam Dor vs. Jay Lethal for the ROH World Title.
Yes, really.
