First episode is coming soon. What Culture posted a video on "ten times title belts have been disrespected" with Adam Blampied providing the voice over. Before getting to the list, he mentions his part in killing off the big gold cardboard belt and called it a "mercy killing" so it wouldn't have to limp through life being disrespected by being slung over the shoulder of "a child" (Jack The Jobber) and "a Dutch porn star" (Adam Pacitti).

Quick notes for WCPW #1: The Show is up all now in parts. I guess it makes more money or they're saving the supercut for the potential of DVDs. Arena is small but packed. Camera work's good. Nothing stands out good or bad on it. Each part plays the same way: Commentary team in front of green screen(obvs not getting a table in that arena, but they do acknowledge it later), Match, Backstage Segment, also in front of green screen. Both Adams really work towards their job. Pacitti plays GM great as well as Blampied playing the smug smug snake. Crowd's hot for everything, and everyone. What chants can f off. The commentary team needs work. There's way too much banter during everything. It's ok to bicker but it takes away from the show when it's at this level. Also they probably need to level their voices down. Biggest problem is that the running gag was that King Ross wasn't paying attention to the show. If you don't want to watch, why should I? That ring announcers got the chops. Nice full delivery. Backstage interviews were OK, but nothing worth staying past the match finishes for, in my own opinion. Exception being the Jack the Jobber one, but that's at the start of Hendry v Damo and both people show great charisma. Kenny's a good Interviewer. Review/SPOILERS FOR WCWP #1: Don't view unless seen or wish to be spoiled. Match Card Alex Gracie vs Gabriel Kidd vs Joseph Conners - Elimination Triple Threat El Ligero vs Martin Kirby Prince Ameen vs "Iron Man" Joe Coffee "Local Hero" Joe Hendry vs Big Damo - #1 Contender to the WCPW World Championship, winner faces Rampage Brown, Jack the Jobber guest enforcer. Match 1: Joseph Conners def. Alex Gracie and Gabriel Kidd by Pin/DQ. Conners pinned Kidd after an Arm-Trap Capture DDT, then Gracie's tag partner and manager interfered for the DQ. Mr. Righteous was as creepy as ever, but played the middle-man to face in this match, especially after Kidd was eliminated. Odd to start off the show with a DQ, in my opinion. Woulda had Ligero vs Kirby first. Afterward the manager cuts a promo, which really should have been backstage. Also, WCPW didn't showcase these guys beforehand so I've got no clue who they are.
Match 2: El Ligero def. Martin Kirby by pin. Fun Comedy Match between two people that know each other and gel very well together. Kirby doesn't have the Kirby-tron but has a more generic 'gamer' one, but Ligero keeps his comic-styled one. Tons of Comedy spots, Running around the ring, owen-hart celebrations, balls-humor. Commentary was really bad in spots as Simon Miller accidentally says "El Ligerio" and King doesn't shut up about it, causing Miller to lose focus. Ligero pins Kirby after reversing the Sable Bomb into a Tornado DDT.
Match 3: "Iron Man" Joe Coffey def. Prince Ameen by countout. Prince Ameen was interviewed, first look at him. He's got the Tiger Ali Singh gimmick, but he looks more like Aladdin than Prince Ali. This match had better commentary. Both looked good with some nice technical spots, but the pace was slowest in this match. Ameen gets himself counted out on purpose to avoid the Big Lariat. The two interviews after the matches were OK.
Main Event: Big Damo def. Joe Hendry by Pin. Jack the Jobber was the special "enforcer", and counted the winning pinfall. Adam Blampied was on commentary for this match, does a great job. You instantly gets his character as overconfident yet amazed by Damo. Joe Hendry sang an insult cover of Hello called Damo Hagred, which leads to Damo going and getting Hendry from the back. Commentary talks a bit over this but they uploaded the video without commentary as a bonus vid. This would be MOTN for me. Damo's got a good Rusev quality to him, Powerful yet slithe. Running Splash at the start. Hendry showcased a good assault, shouting "JOE HENDRY!" whenever he has the advantage, but he was never really in the match here until the ref goes down by Damo's forearm. Jack is forced to get in the ring, but he's slow and Hendry's fall-away slam gets only two. Chair, brought in by Damo, Who's the face? Jack stops him and allows the Chair dropkick by Hendry. This finally gets the "This is awesome" chant. Hendry goes for the chair, stopped by Jack. This leads to the finish as Damo hits the Electric Chair Driver, which I'd never thought I'd see from a non-cruiserweight. Damo looks like a f-ing beast.
After the ME Pacitti showcases the WCPW title and Rampage/Blampied come out. Pacitti is goaded into asking Rampage to leave, which doesn't go well. Rampage kills some security with a struggled piledriver, then destroys the cardboard belt. Again, commentary is a bit much but it was released beforehand without it. Pacitti is left disappointed at ringside as the show ends.
All in all 3.5/5. Triple threat was service-able but bland, Comedy match fun but ruined by Commentary, the second half of the show brings it back up especially with Damo/Hendry

I watched the first part which had Gracie vs Kidd vs Conners. It was a fine match an I enjoyed it.
And the second match. It was fun but seemed to be going nowhere fast. There are moves that arn't DDTs you know.

Here's Joe Hendry's entrance from the show a la carte and without commentary ( though I did like Blampied's "is he a wrestler or a jukebox?" line).

I saw on Twitter how terrible this was by some respected people and was settling for the worst, but its a good show. Taking into account the fact that for the audience they are going for which is youtube viewers the What Culture people are the biggest names and so are the draws, they bring them in but the wrestling hooks them onto the British scene. On Progress and ICW's channels the only people to have more views than the 1 day old first part of Loaded were Prince Devitt, Drew Galloway, Grado and Joe Hendry.

I have the next couple of episodes on standby to watch. Show's seem good, some of the booking is strange but it seems to be progressing alright.
I didn't want to be bombarding this thread with news because they're having Moose, Doug Williams, Will Osprey, Drew Galloway, Marty Scrull and Cody Rhodes come down at various points in the year, along with Eric Bischoff being GM for a night.
I think the only thing that's really keeping me from being overly committed is that I'm waiting for more WhatCulture talent to have their own guys and for it to become a ridiculous stable war.
Also, King Ross is a better commentator when he's not playing a forced heel which is SUPER weird.

Given how Built to Destroy came out, the booking is VERY MUCH AE-inspired. By which I mean the weekly shows are all DQs and Count-outs and false finishes, while all the monthly shows have stellar matches. All the right people won at BTD as well, which is nice that they didn't do any stupid swerves. Noam Dar's Knee Bar counter to the Lethal Injection was AMAZING. Their biggest problem to me is that they'll need I say about...5-10 more mainstays to keep it from becoming too stale, in my opinion. {Spoiler}Looks like it'll be Damo W/ Blampied vs Joe Coffey going forward. Also with only 3-ish teams are they going to have a tag division or no? [/color]

Joe Hendry is the guy that I genuinely have no idea what they want to do with.
He's obviously a big star and can be a great baby face but they then have him undermine Joseph Connors and steal wins and stuff and it's like...are you setting up a heel turn or do you want him to be heroic? Because neither of those things seem like tweener traits.
He seems to be one of the MVPs of WCPW right now and one of their biggest stars but they don't seem to know what the long term plan for the guy is.
Edit: As an added point, there is no way you can make me believe Adam Pacitti is a convincing authority figure. You just can't.

Plus they've already done away with Miller and Ross as commentators, and brought in Alex Shane and the other guy from NGW... and they're just as bad.

Really? Man, I hope that's all WCPW hire him to do because I remember those FWA shows with Alex Shane making HHH's Reign of Terror and Jeff Jarrett's hogging of the main event look like a week in paradise.

So Kurt Angle is coming to WCPW on October 6th. Same show as Cody Rhodes.
Because...sure, why not? I mean, wrestling in 2016 isn't already super nuts.

Looks like Kurt Angle is going to be there in October. Appropriate title. When I hear a rumor Kurt Angle's going to be wrestling then it's true I tend to go, "Oh... It's true..."

I watched a lot of their Big Event too. Opening match went a bit too long with the comedy spots for my taste. Tag team match was fun and that entrance by Hendry was f***ing gold.
Also holy shit they got an ROH title defence on their show.
