First Survival Trials match announced! It's only been thirty minutes since the full list of Survival Trials participants were announced, but we've already got confirmation on the first ever Survival Trials match! Now, COO Triple H has promised to kick out Raw tonight to further discuss the tournament. However, once he's done, we will see history made as the first Survival Trials match will begin. One of the early favorites, John Cena, will step into the ring with the man who defeated him in the main event of WrestleMania XXVII, the Miz! Will John Cena's path to his 15th title get off on the right foot, or will Miz have Cena's number again?

Monday Night Raw: September 22nd, 2014 – FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee
After the WWE Signature flashes across the screen, we are shown a video package that recaps Night of Champions last night. The focal point is on the double main event for the WWE Tag Team and WWE World Heavyweight Titles. This is followed by the “Tonight is the Night” opening video. Michael Cole, Jerry “The King” Lawler and John “Bradshaw” Layfield introduce the episode. They remind us of the major announcement from earlier today, where Triple H introduced the “Survival Trials” and remind us that John Cena will face the Miz in the first tournament match.
The fans give a mixed reaction as the music of Triple H hits and he steps through the curtain. Triple H walks down to the ring and grabs a microphone, welcoming the audience to a historic edition of Monday Night Raw. “There have been over 1,000 episodes and none have featured something like what was announced earlier today.” He gives a rundown of the rules of the Survival Trials for those who missed the news on wwe.com. He explains that it is a giant round robin tournament that will span nearly two months. Each win will earn a Superstar two points while a draw gets them one and a loss will leave them with zero. He also mentions that matches will take place on episodes of Raw, Main Event, Smackdown and WWE live events that are streamed on the WWE Network. “Of course, the most important part of all of this are the participants. Twelve of the very best that this business have to offer will take part in this. However, since the names were announced, I have received a flood of tweets asking about some of the people left off. Many members of the WWE Universe are upset at not seeing CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. I understand you guys. The reason they weren’t included is because Daniel is still injured and Punk just had a title shot last night and it was only fair that I gave others a chance. This had nothing to do with my past with either man. I mean, two of the men that I’m closest to in this business, Batista and Randy Orton, also didn’t make the list and neither did the Director of Operations, Kane. Lastly, I was also asked about Dolph Ziggler and he’s a similar case to Bryan. After the events of last night, we are unsure about his condition, so it didn’t make sense to include him.” Michael Cole points out that he feels like Triple H’s decisions about this tournament seem fair. He finishes by saying that tonight is about what goes in between these ropes and he doesn’t want to waste anymore of our time, citing that the tournament begins now! Out comes John Cena to a mixed reaction. He stops on his way to the ring, staring down Triple H. Triple H extends his hand and Cena shakes it before continuing to the ring.
Returning, we see Triple H walking backstage when Stephanie McMahon comes up to him. She gives him a flabbergasted look that confuses him. She complains that Triple H went and set this whole Survival Trials thing up and didn’t discuss it with her. “In case you forgot, I’m one of the principle owners of this company. My last name is McMahon.” Triple H tells her to calm down and says that he didn’t purposely exclude her. “I just got to discussing it with the Board of Directors and your dad and we all thought it was a good idea.” The fans pop at the mention of Stephanie’s dad. Stephanie still isn’t pleased but drops it for now.
SURVIVAL TRIALS - JOHN CENA [0] VS. THE MIZ [0] W/ SUMMER RAE; Here we have two men who know each other well and have even headlined a WrestleMania together. Cena is still clearly feeling the effects of the Spear he accidentally took last night. Miz targets the midsection, going after it with each chance that he gets. Cena is determined and wants to earn another shot at the WWE Title in the worst way. Miz slips free of Cena’s Attitude Adjustment attempt and looks for the Skull Crushing Finale. Cena blocks that and trips up Miz, locking in the STF. He makes Miz submit to become the first man to two points. John Cena [2] defeats the Miz [0] in 7:32!John Cena quickly gets to his feet, still holding his ribs though, and celebrates the historic first win in the history of the Survival Trials. The fans cheer for the win and Cena poses for them while Summer Rae helps the Miz roll out of the ring. “No rest for the victor though as we’ve just been informed that John Cena’s second match of the Survival Trials will take place this Saturday at a WWE live event in Atlantic City. His opponent? The WWE Intercontinental Champion Sheamus!” says Michael Cole.
As we return, we hear from Cody Rhodes who is backstage. He says that being chosen to take part in the Survival Trials is an honor. “Once I got through with my brother, I told everyone that I was coming for Championship gold. You all saw me watching the Six Pack Challenge closely last night, but now I have a chance to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.” Cody says that he is going to live up to the “Prince of Pro Wrestling” name and capture the big one.
A quick recap of still images reminds every one of the Divas action that happened at Night of Champions. AJ Lee bested Brie Bella just before Paige retained the Women’s Championship against Nikki, making it a very unsuccessful night for the Bella Twins. ALICIA FOX, NAOMI AND NATALYA VS. THE BELLA TWINS AND CAMERON; Judging by the look on her face, you can tell that Naomi wants nothing more than to get her hands on her former Funkadactyls partner, Cameron. Wisely though, Cameron is sure to avoid confrontation, quickly tagging out when faced with the possibility. The Bella Twins seem to be in a bad mood after their losses last night and take it out on their opponents. Nikki Bella drops Alicia Fox with the Rack Attack, scoring the win. The Bella Twins and Cameron defeat Alicia Fox, Naomi and Natalya in 3:14!A chorus of boos is heard from the WWE Universe in Memphis. The Bella Twins don’t really celebrate, still looking to be in a foul mood after coming up short in both matches they had at Night of Champions. Cameron doesn’t get to celebrate either as Naomi goes after her, chasing her up the ramp and to the back.
Much like Cody Rhodes earlier, we are taken to some words from Adrian Neville about the Survival Trials. He admits that September hasn’t been too kind to him after losing the NXT Championship, his rematch for it and then not winning the WWE United States Championship last night. However, he isn’t someone that stays down. “I always get back up because I am the man that gravity forgot and I will win the Survival Trials.” Neville promises to be the first man to win both the NXT Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. It is after this promo that Michael Cole tells us that our main event has just been announced. Tonight, in a Survival Trials match, two Shield members will collide for the very first time. Dean Ambrose goes one on one with Seth Rollins in our main event!
Renee Young is standing by with Alexander Rusev and Lana. Rusev looks to be in a pissed off mood and Renee says that Lana requested this time. Lana confirms that Rusev is indeed pissed. She claims that it is a travesty that he wasn’t chosen to be part of the Survival Trials. “It is clear to us that the WWE Board of Directors isn’t happy with Alexander Rusev crushing all of their precious legends.” Lana declares that even though Rusev wasn’t given a spot in the tournament, there will be gold around his waist sooner than we all think. BIG E VS. BRODUS CLAY; The crowd pops loudly for the return of Big E. We haven’t seen him since this past July at the Live in Osaka WWE Network special. He quickly clotheslines Brodus Clay down, showing that his arm has fully healed. As we all know, Clay is no small competitor, but Big E is one freak of nature when it comes to power. He hoists Brodus up in ways that probably shouldn’t even be possible. He hits the Big Ending for the finish. Big E defeats Brodus Clay in 3:07!The fans cheer the returning win for Big E. Big E isn’t satisfied with the win though, requesting a five count from the official. The confused referee doesn’t do it so Big E looks at the crowd and holds up five fingers. He counts it himself, with some of the fans doing it along with him. “I’m not sure what that was about but one thing is clear, Big E is back with a vengeance” says Michael Cole.
The brand new WWE Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus, makes his way out to the ring, carrying the bloody steel chair from last night. As he does, we are reminded of what he did to Dolph Ziggler during their Ironman match last night. He left Ziggler as a bloody mess before leaving with the Intercontinental Title back around his waist. Michael Cole tells us that Dolph is not cleared to compete and is being tested for a possible concussion. Sheamus has a huge grin as he enters the ring and asks the fans if they are entertained. “I told all of you that Dolph Ziggler’s win at SummerSlam was a fluke. The minute I got my rematch, not only did I win this back, but I put little Dolph on the shelf. If he ever comes back, I’m sure he knows to stay away from me.” Sheamus holds up the bloody steel chair, reminding everyone that it has Dolph’s blood all over it. The music of Triple H plays as the COO steps through the curtain for the second time tonight. He congratulates Sheamus on winning the Intercontinental Title once again. “Tonight however, our focus is on the Survival Trials. Your opponent in your first match of the tournament will be the member of the NXT roster that the fans voted for. First things first, let’s bring these men out.” Triple H introduces the most recent member of the NXT roster to choose from, one half of the Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens. For the first time ever, Kevin Owens walks out onto the Raw stage to a fairly positive reaction. He next introduces Sami Zayn, the other half of the Tag Team Champions, who gets a very loud ovation from the fans. Sami pats Kevin on the back and stands next to him. “Now, the final option for you all is the current NXT Champion, Corey Graves!” He walks out with the NXT Title around his waist, shooting dirty looks to the Tag Team Champions. Jerry Lawler reminds us that we saw Corey on Raw a few weeks back in a tag match before TakeOver. Triple H speaks, “The names of these three Superstars were released earlier today and since then, you, the WWE Universe, has been able to cast your votes for who gets this tremendous opportunity.” He gives each guy a chance to address the fans before the final votes are cast. Kevin Owens speaks first, telling the fans that they may not know him, but they should. “You see, Sami here is my best friend. You all seem to like him but don’t forget that he was unable to win gold in NXT until he made a phone call to me.” The fans give a mixed reaction to that and even Sami Zayn is taken aback. He speaks, saying that it is a dream to be on Raw right now. While winning NXT gold has been his goal this year, winning the WWE World Heavyweight Title is the ultimate dream and if he’s chosen, he guarantees to make history and shut up guys like Sheamus. Obviously, this causes Sheamus to give a slight smirk and he raises the chair again, pointing at Sami. Corey Graves gets to speak last and says that nothing the other two men said matters. “You want to know why you should vote for me? Look no further than what’s around my waist.” Graves points to the NXT Title and says that having that makes him the best that NXT has to offer. He mentions that he’s already beaten someone in the Survival Trials, Adrian Neville, twice. He closes by telling the rest of the participants to STAY DOWN, with the camera zooming in on the tattoos on his knuckles.
The fans were given the length of the commercial break to cast their final votes. Triple H points up to the Titantron as the results come in. Corey Graves finishes with 27% of the votes and Kevin Owens also finishes with the same 27%. Sami Zayn wins with a whopping 46%! Sami is excited as he heads down to the ring. Both Graves and Owens look pretty pissed at the results. SURVIVAL TRIALS – SAMI ZAYN [0] VS. SHEAMUS [0]; There is a buzz in the crowd as Sami Zayn enters the ring. Sheamus clearly took some of his words to heart though and instantly attacks. He just hammers away on Zayn in the corner. Assaults like this are the theme of the bout. Each time it looks like Zayn is going to catch lightning in a bottle, Sheamus is there to knock him on his ass. He shouts “ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?” to a chorus of boos. He grabs Sami but gets pulled into an inside cradle for a near fall. Now, Sami picks up momentum, getting in some of the moves that are now famous in NXT. The fans are wowed by some of Sami’s offense. He surprises everyone when he can get Sheamus up for the Blue Thunder Bomb, though he can only score two. He manages to get Sheamus locked in the Koji Clutch, but the “Celtic Warrior” reaches the ropes. He comes back and calls for the Brogue Kick as Sami gets up in the corner. Sheamus kicks and Sami ducks. Sheamus’ leg gets caught on the top rope. Zayn runs to the opposite corner and then back, connecting on the Helluva Kick as Sheamus gets free and suffers the loss. Sami Zayn [2] defeats Sheamus [0] in 13:30!“Oh my god! Sami Zayn has just beaten the Intercontinental Champion” exclaims Michael Cole. Sami Zayn can’t even believe as the crowd goes nuts. He takes his NXT Tag Team Title and celebrates a win in his Raw debut, as well as two points in the Survival Trials! He quickly exits the ring, which is wise because Sheamus starts to come to and when he realizes what happened, he is livid.
After a break, we hear from the WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio. He talks about the fact that besides Chris Jericho and John Cena, who have both been in the WWE for over a decade, he has the most World Titles of everyone in the tournament. “That means that I know what it takes to be at the top. Since I refocused myself a few months ago, I’ve gone on to great things, like this United States Title.” Del Rio claims that he will win the Tournament because nobody can escape the Cross Armbreaker.
Backstage, we see the office of the Authority. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are still clearly not on good terms as they are on opposite sides of the room. The WWE Tag Team Champions, Batista and Randy Orton, enter, seemingly just arriving at the arena. They get right in Triple H’s face, questioning why they were left out of the Survival Trials. Triple H tries to calm them down, saying that their focus needs to be on the tag team division and those titles. “You know what? If you guys are in such a foul mood, take it out on a tag team in an actual tag team match later tonight.” They aren’t pleased, but step back, saying they will. Bad News Barrett steps into the picture, asking Triple H who his first match will be against and when it will take place. Triple H tells him that it will be this Friday on Smackdown against Roman Reigns. Barrett looks a bit worried, but changes to a more confident face. “I beat Roman Reigns already this year, it shouldn’t be too hard to do it again.” He then tells Stephanie that he thinks Reigns should have a warmup match tonight. She looks at Triple H and agrees to put Reigns in the ring with the Big Show. Barrett gives a hearty laugh and leaves. Steph tells Triple H that she can make decisions without consulting him too. He says he’s fine with what she did and leaves as well.
THE PRIME TIME PLAYERS VS. RYBAXEL; Less than 24 hours ago, the Prime Time Players picked up the biggest win since their return. On the Kickoff Show, they defeated the Age of Enlightenment. Here, they are in trouble because Rybaxel are certainly tough opponents. Ryback especially is in a pumped up mood, going toe to toe with the powerful Titus O’Neil. Things turn sour for Rybaxel when Darren Young catches Curtis Axel with some big offense. He tags to Titus, who hits the Clash of the Titus, ending this. The Prime Time Players defeat Rybaxel in 5:11!After the match, the look on Ryback’s face seems to indicate that he is pissed about another loss for Rybaxel. The Prime Time Players get the crowd to do the “millions of dollars” dance along with them. The Shield is shown backstage, cutting one of their old school handheld camera promos. Roman Reigns speaks first, saying that tonight, he’s going to run through the Big Show and it’s onto Bad News Barrett this Friday. Seth Rollins goes next, saying that people have been questioning the unity of the Shield. “We showed last night that, just like in the past, through thick and thin, we stay strong.” Dean Ambrose chimes in last, saying they realize what the Survival Trials mean. “We know that we’re all going to have to face each other at some point. Hell, tonight, it’s me and Seth. Seth, you’re my brotha, but I’m coming at you with everything I’ve got tonight.” Seth says he wouldn’t have it any other way. Roman ends things, declaring that the man facing Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series will be one of the three members of the Shield. “Believe that.”
Cutting to the ring, the crowd comes to their feet for the arrival of the WWE Women’s Champion, Paige. She walks to the ring as commentary reminds us of her win against Nikki Bella last night. Paige enters the ring and grabs a microphone, addressing the fans. She thanks them for their support since her debut and for getting behind her and what she’s done in bringing back the Women’s Championship. “I’ve grown tired of seeing girls like the Bella Twins try and pass off what they do as legitimate. I didn’t become a professional wrestler so I could be a Diva. Neither did Trish Stratus, neither did Bull Nakano and neither did AJ Lee. Speaking of AJ Lee, you all saw her beat little Brie Bella last night. I also think you all remember Extreme Rules this year.” Paige directs us to the Titantron, where we see AJ Lee defeat Paige via submission at Extreme Rules when Paige passed out. Paige reminds us that AJ Lee wanted to make Paige tap or pin her shoulders for a three count, so they had a rematch in England. We see the footage of Paige winning the Divas Championship in her home country in front of her mother. “The reason I bring all of this up is because AJ Lee is someone that I would like to bring out to the ring right now.” Paige doesn’t have to wait long as AJ Lee is skipping to the ring within a few seconds. She skips around it before entering with a microphone. Before Paige can speak, AJ says that she doesn’t take kindly to being called out. “The only reason I’m out here is because I have something to say to you.” Paige opens the door for her to say it and AJ says that she’s glad that footage was shown. “It shows that I’ve beaten you once and you’ve beaten me once in two of the greatest women’s matches in WWE history. I respect the hell out of you and what you’ve done by bringing that title back. But make no mistake…I don’t like you. So I’m laying down the challenge right now. I want my rematch. Paige and AJ Lee. The tiebreaker.” The crowd buzzes as Paige actually smirks. She admits that is actually what she wanted AJ out here for. “I knew that once you came back you’d want your title shot. That’s not enough for me though. I want to make more history. So, on October 3rd, at Divas Smackdown, let’s do this in the main event!” The crowd pops as Paige extends her hand. AJ shakes it but pulls Paige close in and mutters something to her. Paige gives a smug smirk and pats her title before walking off. Paige vs. AJ Lee III is set for Divas Smackdown in under two weeks! BIG SHOW VS. ROMAN REIGNS; Roman Reigns is out with none of his Shield partners. Bad News Barrett strolls out with his Money in the Bank briefcase to join commentary for this. Big Show is more aggressive than usual here, pummeling away at Reigns. This really makes Barrett happy since there is now a good chance Roman won’t be 100% for their match this Friday night on Smackdown. Reigns is not one to stay down though and overcomes the odds of the giant he’s facing. He reels off some high octane offense and scores with the Spear to win. Roman Reigns defeats Big Show in 6:29!Roman Reigns is announced as the winner, to the delight of the audience. Bad News Barrett is clearly displeased at this result. Reigns puts his fist out and then in the direction of Barrett, making it clear that he’s coming for him this Thursday.
Returning, we are told that another match from the first set of Survival Trials matches has been announced. Tomorrow night, exclusively on the WWE Network, Adrian Neville will go one on one with Chris Jericho! This leads to Chris Jericho talking backstage about the tournament. He admits that things haven’t exactly gone his way since his return after losses to Alexander Rusev and then failing to win the United States Title at Night of Champions. He promises to make good on this run in the WWE and become a seven time World Champion.
Big Show is on his way up the ramp when the music of Bo Dallas plays. He’s had his fair share of issues with Big Show over the past few months. He has a microphone and he stops to tell the Big Show that he comes in peace. “Show. You are the World’s Largest Athlete. You shouldn’t be losing matches like this. Never fear though, Bo is here. I guarantee you that if you just do your best to Bolieve, you will start to win matches.” Bo continues on as Big Show actually seems to be pondering what Bo said. BO DALLAS VS. KOFI KINGSTON; Since his team with Rob Van Dam went their separate ways, Kofi Kingston has struggled to find his footing. Meanwhile, Bo Dallas is in the midst of a pretty solid first few months on the main roster, including a win over the Big Show. Kingston uses his quickness and athleticism to gain the upper hand and scores a very close near fall with the SOS. Kofi starts to clap, signaling for Trouble in Paradise. Bo ducks it and rolls Kofi up, stealing a victory. Bo Dallas defeats Kofi Kingston in 4:36!Bo Dallas quickly rolls out of the ring and begins to do a lap around it, shouting “I DID IT!” Kofi Kingston looks very frustrated in the ring. “Bo Dallas told Big Show to Bolieve. He won tonight and Show didn’t, maybe he should take his advice” says John “Bradshaw” Layfield.
We are now taken to a hype video to promote the WWE Network. With Hell in a Cell on the horizon, spend the month of October reliving some of the greatest Hell in a Cell matches in history. Catch classic shows like King of the Ring 1998, In Your House: Badd Blood, WrestleMania 28 and past Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-Views. Also, just being added are WWE Countdown: Greatest Hell in a Cell matches, plus a brand new Legends of Wrestling Roundtable featuring Jim Ross, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels and Triple H! NON-TITLE MATCH: BATISTA AND RANDY ORTON VS. LOS MATADORES W/ EL TORITO; Poor Los Matadores. They are a very solid, high flying tag team, but when two pissed off future Hall of Famers are standing across from you, there isn’t much you can do. The Tag Team Champions are especially violent here, tossing Los Matadores around like rag dolls. They hit their finishers on each member once and pin them, making an emphatic point. Batista and Randy Orton defeat Los Matadores in 3:26!The Tag Team Champions seemed to be toying with Los Matadores in that match. Not satisfied, Batista grabs El Torito as the crowd boos. Randy Orton kicks the tiny bull in the face before Batista picks him up for a gorilla press slam. He then launches little Torito all the way out onto the announce table in a sickening display.
Before our main event, we get reminded that John Cena beat the Miz earlier tonight and then Sami Zayn shocked the world by defeating the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus for two points in his Raw debut. Tomorrow, Adrian Neville faces Chris Jericho and we already know that Roman Reigns meets Bad News Barrett on Smackdown. Also, this Friday on Smackdown, the United States Champion Alberto Del Rio steps into the ring with the “Prince of Pro Wrestling” Cody Rhodes in the final match in the first set of Survival Trials bouts!
SURVIVAL TRIALS – DEAN AMBROSE [0] VS. SETH ROLLINS [0]; There is an interesting feel around this match as the fans have never see these two square off. We get a pre-match handshake and they go into a feeling out process. During this, Dean Ambrose locks in a half crab and can be heard saying “I’ll break it brother. I’ll break it for the title.” Seth Rollins turns things around and applies an arm submission before basically telling Dean the same thing, showing how important this tournament is. They are incredibly evenly matched, knowing each other’s offense, while also trying to exploit the weaknesses of their opponent. During the match, Roman Reigns comes down through the crowd to get a closer look at this battle of brothers. Seth hits the Buckle Bomb and has Dean prepped for the Curb Stomp. He stops for a moment though, unsure if he should pull out such a vicious move. He decides to try it, but the hesitation allows Ambrose to dodge it and hit Dirty Deeds, scoring the 1-2-3! Dean Ambrose [2] defeats Seth Rollins [0] in 18:15!Dean Ambrose is helped to his feet as the crowd cheers. Roman Reigns enters the ring to congratulate him as he is the first Shield member to earn two points. Dean doesn’t celebrate for too long, looking to assist Seth Rollins to his feet. Seth gets up and backs away as there is clearly some tension at the outcome. Roman kind of mediates things and puts his fist out. Dean puts his with Roman and they both look at a disappointed Seth. He looks around as the crowd chants “Yes!” Seth puts his fist in with his brothers. Even with everything that has happened as of late, the Shield stand united.

WWE Main Event: September 23rd, 2014 – Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas SURVIVAL TRIALS – ADRIAN NEVILLE [0] VS. CHRIS JERICHO [0]; The two men shake hands before the bell in a show of respect. They go into a feeling out process, trying to figure out each other. Adrian Neville is incredibly quick and Chris Jericho is a few years past being able to keep up. With age comes years of experience though, as Jericho is able to outthink Neville and take him to the mat. He tries for the Walls of Jericho, but Neville quickly drags himself to the ropes. Jericho looks for the Codebreaker but Neville latches on the ropes to block it. He nails a beautiful standing shooting star press, but only scores a near fall. Neville now climbs up top, but Jericho gets up there and nails him with a right hand. He seems to grab Neville for what looks like a top rope Codebreaker that brings the crowd to their feet. Neville fights him off and knocks him to the mat. He hits the Red Arrow, earning the 1-2-3. Adrian Neville [2] defeats Chris Jericho [0] in 10:11!Adrian Neville leaps to his feet to celebrate the victory. Tom Phillips directs us to the standings after two days, showing us that Neville joins John Cena, Dean Ambrose and Sami Zayn in the lead with two points each, while Chris Jericho, Sheamus, Miz and Seth Rollins all have zero.

WWE NXT: September 25th, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
To open the broadcast, we go straight to the weekly NXT weekly intro video. This cuts straight to the arena, where Rich Brennan, Jason Albert and Renee Young welcome everyone to tonight’s show. They promise a big show is in store of the viewers and send it to the ring for the opening contest. COLIN CASSADY AND ENZO AMORE W/ CARMELLA VS. BRODUS CLAY AND CURT HAWKINS; Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady do their weekly intro, but introduce the NXT Universe to the “hottest chick in the ring”, Carmella. In between their words and the start of the match, an insert promo appears of Brodus Clay and Curt Hawkins. They badmouth the NXT roster and say that thanks to their time on the main roster, they are the biggest fish in this little pond. Brodus says that they will take respect if they aren’t given it. The match itself sees Enzo get beaten down by his larger opponents until he makes the tag to Big Cass. He comes in hot, nailing Hawkins and even picking up Clay for a side slam. He hits the Empire Elbow on Hawkins to pick up the victory. Colin Cassady and Enzo Amore defeat Brodus Clay and Curt Hawkins in 3:41!The music of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady plays as they celebrate their win. Carmella gets in the ring to join them in celebration. It certainly looks like their time away from the ring has them refocused and Carmella seems to be a welcome addition to the group.
Devin Taylor is now standing by with “Prince Pretty” himself, Tyler Breeze. She wants to know what’s next for Tyler now that he has beaten Kalisto. Tyler gives her a disgusted look and says that even though he beat Kalisto, he didn’t get everything he wanted. “I wanted to expose his hideous mug to the entire NXT Universe but that didn’t happen. Then I thought about it and realized that if I’m here to keep NXT as gorgeous as possible, I shouldn’t reveal his face to the masses. I do have another problem though. While I’m here trying to rid NXT of the gruesome Superstars, they bring in more. How am I supposed to right this wrong?” Tyler says that one day soon, NXT will be almost as pretty as he is.
An advertisement for the WWE Network airs, promoting the great service, which you can get for just $9.99! It focuses on this Saturday and Sunday night, when Survival Trials matches will air the live stream! Returning, a vignette airs to hype Baron Corbin. We see some clips of his quick wins since his debut and the fact that he continues to be a rather dominating Superstar. His voiceover in the video talks about how he is a born winner that didn’t need to waste years on the independent scene. “I got here because I’m better than everyone else. At everything. Get used to it.” MASON RYAN VS. TYE DILLINGER; Notable by his absence is Jason Jordan, who was seemingly offered a deal by Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger last week. This concerns Tye Dillinger, who looks around at ringside before the bell. Once it rings though, he is in trouble. Mason Ryan continues to just mow down his opposition. He hits the backbreaker rack and it’s over in quick fashion. Mason Ryan defeats Tye Dillinger in 0:46!Commentary once again has to wonder who, if anybody, can stop Mason Ryan or even last a minute in there with him. The cameras cut to the top of the stage, where Jason Jordan appears. He is wearing a jacket and looks disappointed. He turns away and we see that the back of the jacket says “Don’t tread on me.”
The new NXT Champion, Corey Graves is shown in the back and he doesn’t look happy. He starts the promo by flat out saying that he’s pissed off. “This past Monday, you idiot fans had a chance to put me in the Survival Trials. But of course, putting the choice in your hands was the dumbest possible option. Anyone with a brain knows that the champion should be the representative of the entire brand.” Corey goes on to blame the fans and Sami Zayn himself, saying that he should have given his spot up out of respect. Jason Albert says that he’s never seen Corey Graves in such a foul mood.
We are reminded that Finn Balor, who made his much heralded debut at TakeOver: R-Evolution, will speak to the NXT Universe later tonight for the very first time!
A commercial is shown to promote the brand new WWE 2K15 video game, which is the first on the current generation of consoles like the PlayStation 4 and X Box One. ALEXA BLISS VS. SASHA BANKS; The commentators hype the huge announcement made yesterday that Sasha Banks and Charlotte will have a rematch of their well-received NXT Women’s Title match from TakeOver at Divas Smackdown. This will mark the first time that any NXT Title was defended outside of NXT and will be contested in front of the biggest crowd to see an NXT bout. As for this match, Alexa Bliss plays the plucky babyface well, but Sasha is on a mission to the NXT Women’s Title and puts her away with the Bank Statement. Sasha Banks defeats Alexa Bliss in 4:03!There is a look of determination on Sasha Banks’ face. She has her hand raised by the official and then motions around her waist, signaling that she’s not done coming for the NXT Women’s Championship. Divas Smackdown is shaping up to be one historic night.
A vignette airs to showcase Finn Balor. We see some highlights of him in Japan, where he made a name for himself. Becky Lynch speaks, as Finn was someone who helped train her. She says that if Finn Balor is in NXT, it’s going to be for a big reason. KALISTO VS. SOLOMON CROWE; At TakeOver: R-Evolution two weeks ago, these two men had different nights. Kalisto suffered a loss to Tyler Breeze, while Solomon Crowe was successful in beating Evan Bourne. Tonight, right from the start, Kalisto gives Crowe fits. Crowe looks to go after the leg and ground the high flyer, but Kalisto escapes each and every single time. He grows frustrated and just chop blocks Kalisto. A crazed look is in Crowe’s eyes as he rolls outside and grabs a steel chair. He enters and smashes it on Kalisto’s leg! Kalisto defeats Solomon Crowe via disqualification in 3:33!Solomon Crowe doesn’t seem to care about the bell ringing, as he drives the chair into Kalisto’s knee again. Evan Bourne’s music hits as he rushes out to make the save. Crowe doesn’t run, instead swinging at Bourne. Bourne is able to duck and dropkick him, sending him to the outside. Now Crowe decides to regroup and backs up the ramp while Bourne checks on Kalisto.
Commentary takes us to a quick recap of Raw. We see Kevin Owens, Corey Graves and Sami Zayn speak to try and convince the WWE Universe to vote them into the Survival Trials. The fans ultimately chose Sami Zayn and he certainly made them look smart as he went out and defeated the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus, in his Raw debut. We go to a wwe.com interview with Sami after the match. He says that the win was one of the best moments of his career. “That’s not the end of is though. I’m not just here to be a nice little surprise or addition. I’m here to win. That’s a message to the other ten guys that I haven’t faced yet.”
The moment the fans have been waiting for has arrived as Finn Balor has his music hit and he steps out onto the stage. The crowd goes nuts as he calmly walks out and gets in the ring with a microphone. He waits for the applause to die down before stating that he’s here to tell everyone why he’s in NXT. “It’s simple actually. There are two reasons. One, is because my friend Hideo Itami figured Tyson Kidd might try something funny at TakeOver. The other, is because NXT is indeed the future of this business and so is Finn Balor.” Before he can go any further, the music of Justin Gabriel plays as he comes to the stage, flanked by Tyson Kidd and Natalya. Gabriel says that he and Tyson had plans for Itami at TakeOver and Finn stuck his nose where it didn’t belong. “If you’re the ‘future’ like you claim to be, then why don’t you prove it against me right now?” Finn has no objections and dares him to get in the ring. FINN BALOR VS. JUSTIN GABRIEL W/ TYSON KIDD AND NATALYA; Justin Gabriel has long been known as one of the better high flyers in the WWE, but he was put to the test here. Finn Balor shows off some of his own aerial ability until Tyson Kidd gets involved and shoves him off the top behind the referee’s back. He laughs, but that turns into a serious reaction when Hideo Itami walks out to the ring to even the odds. Gabriel takes control for a short while, but Balor starts to rally behind the roar of the crowd. He hits a huge dropkick that sends Gabriel into the corner hard. He follows with a second dropkick, before going to the top. He flies off with a double stomp that Jason Albert calls the Coup de Grace, scoring the three. Finn Balor defeats Justin Gabriel in 8:50!Finn Balor quickly gets to his feet, staring down Tyson Kidd, who was on his way into the ring. This, and Hideo Itami sliding into the ring, stops Tyson in his tracks and he backs down. Justin Gabriel rolls outside and is helped up the ramp by Tyson and Natalya, while Finn and Hideo stand in the ring, waiting for another fight.

Friday Night Smackdown: September 26th, 2014 – Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas
A video package kicks things off on Smackdown, recapping the Survival Trials so far. We see Sami Zayn get voted in and then beat Sheamus, John Cena best Miz, Dean Ambrose win a battle of brothers against Seth Rollins and Adrian Neville defeat Chris Jericho on Main Event. Tonight, the Survival Trials continue with the final two matches of the first set! The camera cuts to the arena, where Michael Cole, Tom Phillips and JBL introduce the show and promise something major tonight.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – ALBERTO DEL RIO [0] VS. CODY RHODES [0]; The reigning United States Champions looks to get off to a better start in this tournament than the Intercontinental Champion did. Cody Rhodes has made it his mission to win some kind of gold and two points out of the gate would be the best way to go about it. The crowd buzzes as they go through a feeling out process. The last time these two met was also on Smackdown, but it was under No Disqualification rules, so it had a different feels. Alberto Del Rio continually looks for the Cross Armbreaker, which he promised nobody would escape from. Cody wisely has it scouted throughout and avoids it at every turn. When it finally looks like Del Rio is going to slap it on, he turns to do it but Cody grabs him and strikes with Cross Rhodes for the win. Cody Rhodes [2] defeats Alberto Del Rio [0] in 16:04!Cody Rhodes gets his hand raised, picking up a huge win to start the Survival Trials against the United States Champion. Alberto Del Rio starts moving and gets to his knees. He looks on at Cody, heading up the ramp, and seems to have a face that says “pretty good”. Cody raises his arm one more time atop the stage as we are shown the updating standings so far.
Tom Phillips leads the way as we are now taken to a medical update on Dolph Ziggler. First, we see the damage that Sheamus did to him at Night of Champions. Clips are also shown of Sheamus carrying the bloody steel chair this past Monday on Raw. When the footage ends, Phillips tells us that Ziggler isn’t cleared to compete as he is suffering from concussion like symptoms and the WWE wants to take extra precautions with him. A tweet that Ziggler sent out this week is shown last, saying that the medical staff is making him wait, but if it was up to him, he’d get his hands on Sheamus instantly.
We now hear from the WWE Tag Team Champions, who are not in the arena tonight, but seem to be sitting in a limousine. Randy Orton addresses the camera, saying that what happened to Los Matadores on Raw and, going further back, the Usos, is inevitable for any team that faces them. Batista talks next, saying that they are about to hit one of the Hollywood parties he’s always invited to but that doesn’t change the fact that they are a ruthless duo. “We will be the Tag Team Champions for as long as we see fit. Deal with it.”. BO DALLAS VS. CHRISTIAN; As of late, Bo Dallas has been engaging in some back and forth with the World’s Largest Athlete. Before things begin, Bo gets on the microphone and dedicates this to his big buddy, the Big Show. Christian comes at Dallas with some of his trademark offense, causing Bo to regroup outside. When he gets back inside, Bo uses a rake of the eyes to swing the momentum to him. His dedication to Big Show works when he polishes off Christian with the Bodog. Bo Dallas defeats Christian in 4:36!The referee raises Bo Dallas’ hand but he quickly slips free and does his victory lap. Cutting backstage, the Big Show is seen watching on a monitor, again seeing that Bo Dallas has found success in recent weeks.
An ad is shown to promote the WWE Network, hyping the premiere of the Hell in a Cell Legends Roundtable, coming up right after Smackdown tonight! Renee Young is standing by with one of the men in the Survival Trials, Chris Jericho. She asks him about losing his first match this past Tuesday on Main Event. Jericho admits that it was a tough defeat, but he respects Adrian Neville and knows the entire tournament is going to be tough. “Do not think that one loss is going to get Y2J down. If you recall, I’ve won six World Titles in the past so I know what it takes to get to the top and that’s exactly where I’ll be at the end of this.” BIG E VS. RYBACK W/ CURTIS AXEL; This past Monday on Raw, Big E made his return, being on TV for the first time since July. He bested Brodus Clay but faced an even bigger challenge here with Ryback standing in his way. Early on, both men matched each other’s strength, in an impressive showing. Ryback takes the upper hand but makes the mistake of toying with Big E. Big E rallies and starts moving into his high powered offense. Curtis Axel gets on the apron as a distraction but Big E charges and spears him off. Getting back in, Big E takes down the straps and hits the Big Ending to win. Big E defeats Ryback in 6:40!The crowd cheers loudly as Big E gets to his feet and beats his chest in celebration. He has returned with a vengeance. After he heads up the ramp, Ryback glares over at Curtis Axel, as the losses for him continue to pile up.
In a nice surprise for the WWE Universe, familiar music hits as WWE Diva Legends Victoria and Molly Holly step through the curtain. They get a nice hand from the fans thanks to the surprise of seeing them. They enter the ring and Molly grabs a microphone. She says it’s good to be back and they are here for one reason. “Next week, history is going to be made with Divas Smackdown!” The crowd cheers as Molly says that she’s proud of what the women in the company have done since they left. Victoria takes over and announces that they will be in attendance next week for the big night. “We just want to wish all of the girls good luck and take part in something special.” The feel good moment is interrupted by the music of the Bella Twins. They come out and Nikki has a microphone. She sarcastically says that it’s good to see them. “In all seriousness, nobody came here to see you two relics. Since you’ve left, girls like my sister and I have taken over the division and changed what it means to be a Diva. With us around, nobody needs to see you two.” The Bellas are now in the ring, where Molly and Victoria aren’t too happy. Victoria tells the Bellas that, for girls who supposedly took over the division, they sure lost to AJ Lee and Paige at Night of Champions. Nikki responds with a slap to Victoria. Victoria rubs her face and tackles Nikki to the ground as the crowd goes wild. Brie attacks Molly but is also taken down and they are sent packing out of the ring. Victoria and Molly dare them to get back in, but the Bella Twins back away, realizing they may have bitten off more than they can chew.
The Director of Operations, Kane, is seen backstage. Bad News Barrett comes up to him and wants to know if there is going to be any sort of stipulation added to the main event tonight. “You know, as Mr. Money in the Bank, there should be some sort of advantage for me. We can make tonight a Lumberjack match or a ‘Roman Reigns has one arm tied behind his back match’ or something like that.” Kane gives a small laugh and says that unfortunately, COO Triple H made it abundantly clear that nobody is allowed to make any changes to the matches in the Survival Trials Tournament. “Also, he has stated that nobody can be at ringside for these matches, starting tonight.” Barrett is fuming, saying that it’s not fair as he storms out of the office.
ALEXANDER RUSEV W/ LANA VS. BIG SHOW; The very angry Bulgarian looks to take some of his frustrations out against the man he beat all the way back at Extreme Rules. As noted, Big Show has been in a bit of a funk lately, even going so far as to ponder Bo Dallas’ methods. Show comes out hot here, clubbing away at Alexander Rusev, causing him to get even angrier. The calming voice of Lana seems to settle him down and he takes control in the ring. Show ends up dodging a superkick and goes for the WMD. Rusev avoids that and hits a side belly to belly in impressive fashion. He applies the Accolade, which is enough for the win. Alexander Rusev defeats Big Show in 7:21!Boos are heard from the WWE Universe as Lana enters the ring to give Alexander Rusev the signal to break the hold. He finally does and celebrates with Lana. The defeated Big Show is laid out in the ring, having just tapped out. “That is not a sight we’re used to seeing from the world’s largest athlete” says Michael Cole. The camera catches the look on Show’s face, which is a mixture of disappointment, frustration and anger.
Commentary now directs us to a recap of this past Tuesday’s episode of Main Event on the WWE Network. Adrian Neville defeated Chris Jericho in a Survival Trials match, earning two points to tie him with John Cena, Sami Zayn, Dean Ambrose and as of earlier tonight, Cody Rhodes. Renee Young is now backstage with one of the competitors in our main event, Roman Reigns. She asks him for his thoughts on his match tonight and the Survival Trials in general. Reigns responds, saying that the Survival Trials is something historic and he is glad to be a part of it. “Going on last in the first set of matches means that I’ve gotten a chance to see how everyone else approaches these matches. I have a game plan and it’s simple. I’m going to kick Bad News Barrett’s ass. Believe that.”
Another recap airs, this one of the promo from this past Monday night. Paige and AJ Lee addressed each other and set the stage for their tiebreaking encounter and it goes down next Friday on Divas Smackdown. At Extreme Rules, AJ won their first match and Paige evened the score, winning the WWE Women’s Championship in her home country a little over a month later. AJ LEE VS. EMMA; With a huge main event match on the horizon against Paige, AJ Lee steps into the ring against Paige’s best friend, Emma. For almost a year, AJ Lee reigned atop the Divas division but tonight, it is Emma who looks like the top star among women. She takes it to AJ with all she’s got and scores multiple close calls on pin attempts. With each near fall, she looks exasperated, knowing that she’s so close. Emma goes for the Emma Lock but AJ rolls over and pulls him into a small package for two. When they get up, Emma is still on her knees and gets hit with the Shining Wizard. AJ covers for the 1-2-3. AJ Lee defeats Emma in 6:40!AJ Lee gets to her feet and looks at Emma with some concern. She realizes that Emma nearly beat her tonight and she’s going to need to be on her “A” game next week if she plans on dethroning Paige and winning the title she’s coveted since her childhood.
We go backstage one more time with Renee Young, who interviews Bad News Barrett. She mentions what Roman Reigns said earlier tonight and asks if it had any effect. Barrett has a concerned look but snaps out of it and gives a nervous laugh, saying it means nothing. “Have you learned nothing Renee? Roman Reigns is all talk. I on the other hand, am a man of action.” He raises the briefcase, saying that he accomplishes things, just like he’s going to accomplish winning the Survival Trials. SURVIVAL TRIALS – BAD NEWS BARRETT [0] VS. ROMAN REIGNS [0]; The final match in the first set of Survival Trials matches leads to some hard hitting action. If you recall, a few months back Bad News Barrett defeated Roman Reigns to qualify for the Money in the Bank match, which he ended up winning. Tonight, Reigns seems more prepared, tossing Barrett around to start. Barrett hits the Winds of Change from out of nowhere to swing the momentum. He now works over Reigns’ back before scoring with the Wasteland. He covers but only gets two and is stunned. He turns the elbow pad inside out, looking for the Bull Hammer. Reigns ducks, bounces off the ropes and hits the Spear to end it. Roman Reigns [2] defeats Bad News Barrett [0] in 12:02!Roman Reigns rolls over onto his back, worn out from the bout, but smiling as he has earned himself two points. Bad News Barrett rolls out of the ring while Reigns stands up and poses for the WWE Universe, preparing for his second Survival Trials match this weekend against Adrian Neville.

WWE Live Event: September 27th, 2014 – Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New JerseyTheme Song: "Survival" by Eminem
This special WWE Network event opens with a shot of the arena while "Sruvival" by Eminem plays. The lighting is dim, setting the scene for the live event feel. Tom Phillips and Renee Young surprisingly handle commentary duties, though it’s clear that they aren’t live at the arena. The show begins now that it is 7:30PM EST.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – ALBERTO DEL RIO (0) VS. DEAN AMBROSE (2); In the first set of matches, Alberto Del Rio suffered a loss to Cody Rhodes, while Dean Ambrose defeated his Shield brother Seth Rollins in the main event of Raw. The crowd is lively here, knowing they’re getting to see more than a normal live event as this has some actual implications. They jockey for position early, with neither guy gaining a clear cut advantage. Del Rio, as usual, targets the arm of Ambrose. It comes into play big time when Ambrose goes for his signature rebound lariat but his strike barely registers. Del Rio grabs it and slaps on the Cross Armbreaker but Ambrose gets his foot on the ropes to break it. Del Rio goes to pick up Ambrose, only to be pulled into an inside cradle that scores a three count. Dean Ambrose defeats Alberto Del Rio in 11:14!
Cheers rain in from the crowd in Atlantic City as Dean Ambrose scores two more points in surprising fashion. Alberto Del Rio can’t believe that he let this one slip away. He becomes the first man to fall to 0-2 during the tournament so far.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – THE MIZ (0) VS. SETH ROLLINS (0); Two men without wins do battle here. Miz and Seth Rollins both lost on Raw, to John Cena and Dean Ambrose, respectively. Seth bumped fists with Ambrose during his entrance tonight, showing no hard feelings. With the news last night on Smackdown that nobody is allowed at ringside for these matches, Miz is without Summer Rae tonight. Seth seems absolutely determined to avoid the 0-2 start, coming out of the gate with everything he’s got. Miz is able to rake the eyes, getting in the driver’s seat for a moment. Seth is too resilient though and his determination shines though. Seth is able to springboard in with a knee strike, followed immediately by the Curb Stomp. Seth Rollins defeats The Miz in 8:39!
Seth Rollins leaps to his feet, pumping his chest in celebration of picking up his first two points. The Shield has looked very good in the Survival Trials so far and we’ll see if Roman Reigns can score two more points tomorrow night against Adrian Neville.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – JOHN CENA (2) VS. SHEAMUS (0); On Raw, these two men had very different nights. John Cena bested the Miz, while the Intercontinental Champion lost to the debuting Sami Zayn in a huge upset. Sheamus and Cena are no strangers to one another, having faced off multiple times in the past, including Sheamus beating him for his first WWE Title. Seemingly angry about the loss to Zayn, Sheamus clobbers Cena early. He hits most of his signature offense like the Irish Curse backbreaker and White Noise. Cena is a hard man to keep down though and he kicks out. Sheamus beats his chest for the Brogue Kick but Cena ducks and hoists him up for the Attitude Adjustment. Sheamus elbows his way out and tries White Noise again. Cena rolls through and locks in the STF! Sheamus doesn’t tap though, reaching the ropes. Cena gives Sheamus no room to breathe though, picking him up for an AA and planting him to rack up two more points! John Cena defeats Sheamus in 15:11!
The fans cheer loudly as John Cena jumps into a tie with Dean Ambrose atop the standings. If the Survival Trials were to end today, the finals would be Cena vs. Ambrose. Alas, there is still a lot more from this tournament, including some huge matches tomorrow night on the WWE Network.
1. Dean Ambrose (4 points) 1. John Cena (4 points) 2. Adrian Neville (2 points) 2. Cody Rhodes (2 points) 2. Roman Reigns (2 points) 2. Sami Zayn (2 points) 2. Seth Rollins (2 points) 3. Alberto Del Rio (0 points) 3. Bad News Barrett (0 points) 3. Chris Jericho (0 points) 3. The Miz (0 points) 3. Sheamus (0 points)

WWE Live Event: September 28th, 2014 – iWireless Center in Moline, IllinoisTheme Song: "Survival" by Eminem
Similar to last night’s live WWE Network special, this kicks off by simply taking us to a shot of the dimly lit arena. The fans in Moline are buzzing for this. Tonight’s commentary team is different as the duo of Byron Saxton and Booker T handle things in the booth. They don’t want to waste any of this hour, sending it right to the ring.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – CHRIS JERICHO (0) VS. SAMI ZAYN (2); For those that recall the “Live in Osaka” special on the WWE Network back in July, this match opened things. On that night, Chris Jericho was able to beat the NXT Superstar. In the first set of matches, Jericho lost to Adrian Neville, while Sami Zayn defeated Sheamus in a shocker. Unlike the Sheamus/Zayn match, this is much more evenly matched. In fact, they follow a similar pattern to the Jericho/Neville match. Jericho tries to ground Zayn, knowing that he has a high octane, explosive offense. When that doesn’t work, Jericho tries his own high flying with the Lionsault, but Zayn rolls out of dodge. The next attempt from Jericho comes off the top, but Zayn catches him and instantly applies the Koji Clutch! Jericho struggles but has nowhere to go and is forced to tap out. Sami Zayn defeats Chris Jericho in 12:51!
Sami Zayn evens the score with Chris Jericho, who made him tap out to the Walls of Jericho back in Osaka. Sami celebrates, joining John Cena and Dean Ambrose atop the standings right now. When Jericho gets to his feet, he pats Sami on the back and motions with his hand that they are 1-1 against each other. Could a rubber match be in the cards down the line?
SURVIVAL TRIALS – BAD NEWS BARRETT (0) VS. CODY RHODES (2); Judging by the look on his face, Bad News Barrett is in a foul mood. He lost to Roman Reigns in the main event of Smackdown two nights ago, while Cody Rhodes beat US Champion Alberto Del Rio to open things. Barrett hammers Cody in the early stages before tossing him outside. Barrett continues the assault, throwing Cody into the guardrail and then dropping him throat first onto it. Inside though, he is unable to put away the “Prince of Pro Wrestling”. Like on Smackdown, Barrett sets for the Bull Hammer but misses. Cody instantly springboards off the second rope with the Disaster Kick. Cody goes into an offensive flurry, hitting Cross Rhodes, but Barrett gets his foot on the bottom rope. They go back and forth a bit more, until Cody gets sent into the corner. He runs up and nails a gorgeous moonsault, holding Barrett down for the three count. Cody Rhodes defeats Bad News Barrett in 9:53!
Cody Rhodes quickly rolls out of the ring, scoring a bit of a flash pin on Mr. Money in the Bank. Booker T claims it reminds him of when the 1-2-3 Kid beat Razor Ramon. Cody has his arm raised by the referee while Bad News Barrett stays in the ring, infuriated.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – ADRIAN NEVILLE (2) VS. ROMAN REIGNS (2); The only matchup this weekend to feature two guys with two points each. As noted, Adrian Neville beat Chris Jericho, while Roman Reigns bested Bad News Barrett this past week. Like most matches featuring guys of these styles, Reigns overpowers Neville, but Neville is much faster. Neville scores two on a standing shooting star press and then shows off his own power by dead lifting Reigns into a bridging German suplex for another near fall. In a surprising moment, Neville gets a shoulder up after being hit with the Superman punch. Reigns is taken aback but regroups and moves for the spear. He goes for it only for Neville to leap straight over him! He runs up the opposite corner and turns in the air for an attack, but Reigns is prepared with a massive midair Spear that gets the win. Roman Reigns defeats Adrian Neville in 13:37!
A standing ovation from the WWE Universe comes as they applaud not only the dynamite finish, but the entire match and the performances of both men. Roman Reigns gets to his feet and the second rope, posing for the crowd. Adrian Neville rolls outside, holding his ribs. Reigns leans over the top, putting his fist out. Neville looks up and fist bumps him I a show of respect.
1. Cody Rhodes (4 points) 1. Dean Ambrose (4 points) 1. John Cena (4 points) 1. Roman Reigns (4 points) 1. Sami Zayn (4 points) 2. Adrian Neville (2 points) 2. Seth Rollins (2 points) 3. Alberto Del Rio (0 points) 3. Bad News Barrett (0 points) 3. Chris Jericho (0 points) 3. The Miz (0 points) 3. Sheamus (0 points)

Breaking News!Word just came in that tonight, live on Monday night Raw from Chicago, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan makes his return! Bryan hasn't been seen since losing the title at SummerSlam, thanks to an injury suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar. There is no word yet on what Bryan plans on doing, but we do know that he will be addressing the WWE Universe. One has to assume that he wants his title back, but with the Survival Trials already set and underway, he'll be hard pressed to get a shot. Tune into Raw at 8E/7C as Brya will be opening the show!

Monday Night Raw: September 29th, 2014 – Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois
Before the weekly Raw intro video, a video recap is shown, highlighting Daniel Bryan’s incredible performance at WrestleMania earlier this year. It then shifts to show clips of him getting married and defending the title against Kane, Bray Wyatt, CM Punk and others. The happy feel of the video changes with the sight of Brock Lesnar. Lesnar not only took the WWE World Heavyweight Championship from Bryan, but he also put him on the shelf. That all changes tonight though as Bryan makes his first appearance since SummerSlam! Plus, the Survival Trials continue, including a first time ever bout between two men tied at the top with 4 points apiece, John Cena and Sami Zayn!
The music of Daniel Bryan hits and the crowd comes unglued at the return of their favorite. He steps onto the stage, basking in the reaction from the WWE Universe. He does his “Yes” chant down to the ring before getting in and grabbing a microphone. He starts by saying that it feels good to be back and it’s been too long. Bryan then says that he’s come back with his mind focused on one thing. “I want my WWE World Heavyweight Championship back!” The crowd chants “Yes” to this as Bryan says that he doesn’t care about Brock Lesnar putting him on the shelf, because he demands his rematch. “I know Brock has his part time schedule and that he only works when he sees fit, but I want my rematch tonight!” The fans go nuts, though their happiness is cut short by the arrival of Stephanie McMahon, flanked by the Authority. She stays atop the stage, sarcastically welcoming Bryan back. “I understand why you want your rematch tonight, but” Stephanie moves the microphone to Bad News Barrett who says, “I’m afraid I’ve got some bad news!” Stephanie continues, “You see, for one thing, Brock Lesnar isn’t here tonight, so this can’t happen. The second thing is that you usually get a 30 day window to cash in your rematch clause, which you are well past. Lastly, I don’t know if you noticed, but the Survival Trials are going on now to crown Brock’s next challenger.” Bryan isn’t settling, saying that if that’s the case, he should be entered into the tournament. Stephanie declines, saying that Triple H made the field and it is locked. Bryan is pretty pissed in the ring, but seems to get an idea. “Okay, while I’m still not giving up on getting my rightful title shot again, I think I’m going to put my focus elsewhere. I miss having championship gold around my waist. How about this then Stephanie? You give me a shot at your Tag Team Champions.” The crowd cheers but Stephanie laughs, saying that one man can’t beat the Tag Team Champions, especially someone like Bryan. Bryan has a quick retort, “Someone like me? You mean someone who already beat both Batista and Randy Orton in the same night?” The fans laugh as Stephanie is irritated. Randy Orton steps in, saying that he’s sick and tired of hearing about Bryan and WrestleMania XXX, which he considers a fluke. “If you really have a partner, then I’ll give you an opportunity. Batista and I are the most dominant duo in WWE history, and you and whoever you choose to get, aren’t going to stop us.” Stephanie takes back over, saying that she likes Orton’s boldness, but Bryan should have to earn it. “So tonight, in that very ring, Daniel Bryan goes one on one with Randy Orton. If Bryan wins, he gets the title shot he wants. If he loses, then he goes to the back of the line for any and every title in the WWE.” Bryan seems to agree with the decision and leads the fans in another “Yes” chant before cutting to commercial.
Backstage, Stephanie McMahon enters the Authority’s office to find Triple H. He stands up to her and she wants to know if he had any issue with what she did out there. He shakes his head, saying “Nope. I thought you handled that very well and now we have a great main event for tonight. I don’t always take issue with your decisions.” Stephanie is surprised, saying that it hasn’t been the case of late. She walks past him, leaving Triple H to shake his head, knowing the tension is still there.
SURVIVAL TRIALS – CHRIS JERICHO (0) VS. CODY RHODES (4); Kicking off the wrestling portion of tonight’s show is a bout between two crowd favorites. They go through an early exchange with neither man gaining a clear advantage. There is a look of desperation on the face of Chris Jericho, as he tries to score two points with several early rollups. Cody Rhodes continues to be a very determined Superstar though, kicking out at every turn. Cody also survives the Walls of Jericho, reaching the ropes in time. Jericho hits a Codebreaker, but Cody is able to get his shoulder up. Frustration grows on Jericho’s face and he looks for the Lionsault. Cody gets up as Jericho flips, runs to the second rope and lays out Jericho with the Disaster Kick. Cody Rhodes defeats Chris Jericho in 8:41! “Cody Rhodes does it again! He has just vaulted to the top of the standings in the Survival Trials so far!” exclaims Michael Cole. Cody stands up and leaps to the second rope, screaming along with the WWE Universe. Chris Jericho sits up, holding his jaw and looking dejected. He now moves to 0-3 in this tournament so far, while Cody is 3-0.
In the back, Cameron is shown looking into a mirror, admiring herself. In the reflection, we see Naomi come up behind her. Cameron gets startled, turns and steps back. Naomi puts her hands up, saying she’s not here to fight. “I’m here to tell you something. I just found out that this Friday, on Divas Smackdown, we’re going to have our first match. You can’t run anymore.” Naomi walks away, leaving Cameron looking a bit worried.
Standing by is Renee Young, with her guest, the WWE Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus. She asks him about the Survival Trials and the fact that he’s started 0-2. Sheamus gives her a look of disdain before saying that there is a lot of tournament remaining. “One loss pains me more than the other to be honest. Sami Zayn. Last Monday, you must have had a four leaf clover in your boot because you’ve never been luckier in your life. I’ve had a good talk with William Regal and I may be coming to NXT soon to prove to everyone that last Monday was a fluke. As for tonight, Seth Rollins is going to be my first official victim of the Survival Trials.” Sheamus holds up the steel chair, still stained with Dolph Ziggler’s blood, saying he may add Seth’s blood to it.
A recap airs from this past Sunday’s episode of Total Divas, where Summer Rae and Natalya got into an argument. Summer Rae is joining commentary for the following contest, stating that she needs something to do since she can’t accompany Miz to the ring during the Survival Trials. NATALYA VS. NIKKI BELLA W/ BRIE BELLA; Word broke on the Raw Pre-Show that this Friday night on Divas Smackdown, the Bella Twins will team up to take on Molly Holly and Victoria, who return to the ring for one night only after their altercation last week. As for this match, Nikki and Natalya got back and forth a bit. Brie tries to intervene but is knocked off the apron. The referee checks on her, allowing Summer Rae to get up and trip Natalya. This slight distraction frees Nikki to grab Natalya and hit the Rack Attack for the three count. Nikki Bella defeats Natalya in 2:29!Nikki Bella quickly exits the ring, checking on her sister, who seems to be okay. Summer Rae laughs in the direction of the fallen Natalya, as their rivalry moves from Total Divas to regular WWE programming.
We are now taken to a recap of the rivalry between Paige and AJ Lee, set to “Captivate You” by Marzomets. It starts with Paige’s debut the night after WrestleMania and their match at Extreme Rules. On that night, AJ Lee retained when Paige passed out in the Black Widow. Paige discusses how much that loss hurt and we hear from AJ, who claims that she beat every single woman on the roster by pinning them to the mat or making them tap. Except Paige. “I couldn’t stand that thought. So I did something unprecedented.” AJ challenged Paige to a rematch, which took place in Paige’s home country. Paige would dethrone AJ, sending AJ away for over three months. AJ returned, helping Paige against the Bella Twins, but her mission has been clear. She wants the Women’s Championship and she gets her rematch, in the rubber match, this Friday on Divas Smackdown.
The WWE Universe is now joined by the duo of Alexander Rusev and Lana. They walk down to the ring to a chorus of loud boos. When those slightly die down, Lana gets on the microphone, saying that Alexander Rusev is still livid about not being included in the Survival Trials. “We’ve come to accept that the WWE higher ups are not happy with Rusev’s dominance over their ‘legends’. They don’t want to see someone who so easily crushes their history at the top. Even so, we will not be stopped. If Rusev can’t be in the Survival Trials and win a shot at Brock Lesnar, then he’s going to get gold in the old fashioned way.” The crowd and commentators are a bit confused at this, but surprisingly, Rusev takes the microphone. We don’t usually hear from the “Bulgarian Brute.” Rusev says that he’s going to become a champion before the end of the year. “I don’t care if it’s the Intercontinental Title, the United States Title or if I have to team with Lana and take the Tag Team Titles. I will be a champion in the WWE! When I win a championship, I will continue to destroy everyone and get my rightful shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title.” Rusev promises that when that happens, he will win and go on to be known as the most dominant WWE Superstar in history. They step outside following the promo, looking to sit at ringside for the next match. SURVIVAL TRIALS – ALBERTO DEL RIO (0) VS. BAD NEWS BARRETT (0); With both men having no wins so far, something has got to give. For those that forgot, these two had quite the match back at SummerSlam, when Alberto Del Rio won the United States Title from Bad News Barrett. This follows a similar pattern, with Del Rio going after the arm of Barrett. Del Rio has made it clear that if he gets the Cross Armbreaker applied, you will have to tap out, but so far, everyone has been able to avoid it. Barrett does a good job of that as well. Del Rio gets him down and slaps his arm to signal the hold. Alexander Rusev gets up from his seat and stands on the apron. Del Rio argues with him and takes a swing, but Rusev drops down. This gives Barrett the opening to turn his elbow pad inside out. He nails the Bull Hammer to the back of the head and the referee counts the three. Bad News Barrett defeats Alberto Del Rio in 8:08!Thanks to a timely assist from Alexander Rusev, Bad News Barrett picks up his first win in the Survival Trials. Mr. Money in the Bank exits the ring, walks by Rusev and grabs his briefcase, raising it high in the air. Rusev is not done with Alberto Del Rio though, stepping through the ropes and into the ring. He stands over the United States Champion and steps on his back before locking in the Accolade! Officials rush down so he can break the hold, but he doesn’t do so until Lana comes in and gives him the signal, as always. It looks like Rusev has set his sights on the United States Championship.
Going backstage, Renee Young is standing by with the number one contender for the WWE Women’s Championship, AJ Lee. She talks about the video package we saw earlier today and asks AJ if she’s prepared for the big match on Friday. AJ gives Renee an innocent look before saying that she’s never been more ready. “This is why I got into this business. I wanted to face the very best in the world and that’s what Paige is right now. It may be called Divas Smackdown this Friday, but two WOMEN are walking into the main event to wrestle over the WOMEN’S Championship. I want back on top and I will do what I have to do to get there.”
An ad runs to promote the Monday Night Wars, on the WWE Network! Relive the greatest moments during the battle for supremacy between Raw and Nitro in the brand new, Network exclusive series! Michael Cole informs everyone that the Survival Trials continue, live on the WWE Network tomorrow night on Main Event. For the first time ever, Dean Ambrose steps into the ring against the high flying Adrian Neville! Who will walk away with two more points and come one step closer to a date with the “Beast”?
A recap is shown of the devastating assault that Sheamus put on Dolph Ziggler at Night of Champions. Sheamus battered Dolph with a steel chair, bloodying the former Intercontinental Champion. Sheamus now walks around with the blood-stained steel chair. Commentary also gives another update on Ziggler’s health, saying he is still being told to stay away from the ring for a while due to the head trauma. SURVIVAL TRIALS – SHEAMUS (0) VS. SETH ROLLINS (2); The blood-stained chair continues to accompany Sheamus to the ring. While Seth Rollins can’t have his Shield brothers at ringside, both Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns are standing in the crowd, watching from afar. Sheamus demands they get ejected by the referee tells him that they aren’t breaking any rules. When the match gets underway, Seth starts hot, flying around the ring and overwhelming Sheamus, picking up multiple near falls. Sheamus is a methodical powerhouse though, catching Seth and slowing the pace. He wears Seth down through a commercial break and looks poised for his first two points. Seth pulls him into a small package though, getting the three. Seth Rollins defeats Sheamus in 13:05!Quickly getting out of dodge, Seth Rollins rolls outside, leaving Sheamus furious in the ring. Seth throws his arms in the air as the camera shows Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns with smiles on their faces. Seth joins them in the crowd, celebrating his second straight win. Sheamus grabs his steel chair and starts slamming it on the mat in frustration, now 0-3 in this ever so important tournament.
With October right around the corner, it’s that time of the year again for the WWE to partner up with Susan G. Coleman in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month. Several Superstars and Divas discuss the effects Breast Cancer has had on their lives and lives in general.
ADAM ROSE AND SANTINO MARELLA VS. RYBAXEL; In recent weeks on Main Event and Superstars, the duo of Adam Rose and Santino Marella have become crowd favorites for their fun loving style. Rybaxel continues to struggle, not even able to get on the same page here. A miscommunication allows Rose to hit Curtis Axel with the Party Foul, ending things. Adam Rose and Santino Marella defeat Rybaxel in 2:11!Adam Rose and Santino Marella celebrate their win by dancing with the Exotic Express. Meanwhile, in the ring, Ryback helps Curtis Axel to his feet, but seems to argue with him following another loss. He says something along the lines of “I’m fed up”, before storming out.
A promo is shown, hyping the historic “Divas Smackdown” coming to you all this Friday. The Funkadactyls explode when Cameron faces Naomi, the NXT Women’s Championship is defended on its biggest stage when Charlotte meets Sasha Banks and, in their rubber match, Paige defends the WWE Women’s Title against AJ Lee!
Renee Young is backstage with Daniel Bryan. She asks him about his match with Randy Orton tonight and wants to know if he’s found a partner yet. Bryan responds by saying that he knows what he’s walking into against Orton since he’s faced him multiple times. “As for the partner, I’ve got someone in mind. Before any of that though, I’m going to make Randy Orton tap out.” SURVIVAL TRIALS – JOHN CENA (4) VS. SAMI ZAYN (4); The buzz in the air for this contest is insane. The rabid Chicago fans are mostly behind Sami Zayn. The two men shake hands at the start and move into a feeling out process. John Cena goes for his “five moves of doom” early, but Sami is prepared and doesn’t go for the right hand after the shoulder blocks, instead dropkicking Cena to the outside. Sami follows with his trademark through the ropes tornado DDT on the outside. The crowd is on their feet as Sami rolls Cena in, hoping for an upset but Cena kicks out. Sami nails the blue thunder bomb for two again, followed by Cena countering a rana into a powerbomb for his own near fall. Cena quickly moves into the STF, as the fans chant “please don’t tap”. Sami manages to slip his legs free and roll over, locking Cena into the Koji Clutch! Now the fans chant “tap” wanting Sami to pull this one off. Cena reaches the ropes, breaking the hold though. Both men are worn down as Cena pulls himself up in the corner. Sami charges in for the Helluva Kick, but Cena dodges, hoists him up and hits the Attitude Adjustment! 1…2…NO! Sami kicks out and Cena is stunned. Cena recovers and tries it again, but Sami wriggles free and gets behind him. He goes for a rollup, only for Cena to roll through and get his own for two. Sami sends him into the corner and hoists him up top, looking for what Michael Cole calls an “insane Brainbuster”. Cena fights him off and gets Sami on his shoulders. He comes off the second rope with a huge AA, scoring the pinfall. John Cena defeats Sami Zayn in 16:40!“My goodness. That had to be one of the best matches in recent Raw history…hell in all of Raw history” says Michael Cole. John Cena rolls over to his back, exhausted from that outing. He gets up as the fans also come to their feet, giving them a standing ovation. Sami Zayn struggles to get up, so Cena helps him up and raises his hand, congratulating him on a spectacular effort tonight. Sami appreciates this and both men stand there while the fans continue to shower them with applause.
Returning, commentary gushes over the tremendous match that we just witnessed. They then remind us that the Survival Trials continue tomorrow night on Main Event. In addition to Dean Ambrose taking on Adrian Neville, Roman Reigns will go one on one with the Miz! NUMBER ONE CONTENDER’S MATCH – BIG SHOW VS. BO DALLAS VS. CHRISTIAN VS. KOFI KINGSTON; Earlier in the night, exclusively on the WWE App, Alberto Del Rio went to Stephanie McMahon and demanded a match with Alexander Rusev. She told him that he could have it in time, but said he must get through a pre-existing challenge first. The winner of this match gets a shot at the United States Title next Monday. Bo Dallas spends most of the match trying to convince Big Show to side with him to find success. Christian and Kofi Kingston handle most of the action, with some fast paced back and forth. Bo seems to get Big Show on his side, only for Show to knock him out with the WMD and wins it for himself. Big Show defeats Bo Dallas, Christian and Kofi Kingston in 5:17!Big Show stands up, getting a round of cheers from the WWE Universe thanks to him knocking out the big mouth that is Bo Dallas. The cameras go backstage where Tom Phillips catches up with Alexander Rusev and Lana, who are watching on a monitor. He asks if they are upset that someone else is getting a shot. Lana says no, because according to Stephanie McMahon, Rusev gets the next title shot. “Rusev doesn’t care if it’s Alberto Del Rio or the Big Show, he will CRUSH whoever holds the belt.”
“Ladies and gentlemen…my name is Paul Heyman”. The crowd comes alive as Paul Heyman walks out onto the stage. He addresses the Chicago crowd, now chanting for “CM Punk”, by telling them that he’s at home. “CM Punk would love nothing more than to be here for all of you but he’s stuck nursing his wounds after he was VICTIMIZED at Night of Champions. And you know who victimized him? The ONE in TWENTY-ONE AND ONE! The WWE World Heavyweight Champion, and my client, BROCK LESNAR!” With Punk out of the way, Heyman moves his promo to the real reason why he’s here. He talks about the Survival Trials, saying that it is indeed a historic tournament. “Nothing on this grand of a scale has ever been done before in the WWE. Whoever wins this, whether it’s a member of the Shield, Sheamus, Alberto Del Rio, John Cena or even Sami Zayn, they will go down in the record books. They’ll even get a WWE World Heavyweight Championship shot. They should be overjoyed. But then they remember one thing. The current champion is the ‘Beast Incarnate’ himself, Brock Lesnar.” Heyman wraps things up, saying that the winner of the Survival Trials will go from accomplished to victimized, just like CM Punk. NO DISQUALIFICATIONS: DANIEL BRYAN VS. RANDY ORTON W/ THE AUTHORITY; Daniel Bryan is all alone while Randy Orton has the entire Authority at ringside with him. Stephanie McMahon appears on the Titantron to make this a No DQ match. This match follows a pattern that was kind of normal between these two in 2013, when they faced off multiple times over the WWE World Heavyweight Title. Orton is his ruthless self, but anytime Bryan gets the upper hand, the Authority is there to intervene, giving Orton back the advantage. Bryan finally takes them out with a suicide dive. He gets back on the apron but Orton is ready with a kick and the rope hung DDT. He starts to beat on the mat, calling for the RKO. Before the “Viper” can strike though, “Cult of Personality” hits the speakers as the crowd goes insane. CM Punk makes his way to the ring and Sheamus goes to cut him off. Punk ducks a shot with the blood-stained chair, kicks him in the gut and nails him with the chair. Orton watches as Punk also takes out Bad News Barrett and Kane with the chair. He stands across from Batista, who dares him to come at him. Bryan is free to wrap Orton up from behind in the Yes Lock! Orton rolls forward out of it and stands up, but Bryan quickly charges in with the Busaiku Knee for the 1-2-3. Daniel Bryan defeats Randy Orton in 11:48!The fans erupt for the win by Daniel Bryan as he has now earned himself a shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles. Batista looks on with his hands on his head. CM Punk brushes past him and into the ring to raise Bryan’s hand. Bryan grabs a microphone and makes an announcement. “If all your Chicagoans couldn’t already tell, my partner for my Tag Team Title shot is CM Punk!” The fans join Punk and Bryan in a “Yes” chant, closing the show.

WWE Main Event: September 30th, 2014 – BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin SURVIVAL TRIALS – THE MIZ (0) VS. ROMAN REIGNS (4); These two men have been on opposite roads so far during this tournament. While a lot of people have pegged Roman Reigns as a favorite, the Miz is the one here that’s a former WWE Champion. He tries, like the winless Chris Jericho did on Raw, to score on multiple rollup and flash pin attempts. Reigns was able to get his shoulder up on all of them, and subdue Miz with his powerful offensive attack. He nailed the Superman Punch and called for the Spear, but Miz avoided it and Reigns crashed, shoulder first, into the corner. Miz runs in with the Awesome Clothesline and covers, but Reigns kicks out. Miz smells an opening, looking for the Skull Crushing Finale, but Reigns blocks it and sends him off the ropes. He scores on the Spear from there, tying with Cody Rhodes and John Cena atop the standings. Roman Reigns defeats the Miz in 7:45!The crowd cheers as Roman Reigns gets up and celebrates another two points. While the Shield’s music plays, the camera catches Dean Ambrose coming through the crowd, as his match is up next. He enters the ring and fist bumps Reigns, looking to tie his Shield brother at the top. SURVIVAL TRIALS – ADRIAN NEVILLE (2) VS. DEAN AMBROSE (4); Adrian Neville has beaten Chris Jericho but lost to Roman Reigns, while Dean Ambrose defeated Seth Rollins and Alberto Del Rio. Neville takes an interesting approach here, surprisingly taking the “Lunatic Fringe” to the mat. After doing that for a bit, he gets the upper hand and now chooses to go high risk. He doesn’t quite try the Red Arrow yet, but does miss a standing shooting star press. He hits a dropkick, but Ambrose comes back with the rebound lariat for a near fall. Ambrose hooks Neville for a double arm DDT, but the high flyer is able to reverse it and nail a Northern lights suplex for two. After some more back and forth, Ambrose sends Neville into the corner. He runs in but Neville gets a boot up. Neville connects with a gorgeous reverse rana and climbs up. The fans come to their feet as he delivers the Red Arrow, scoring the upset. Adrian Neville defeats Dean Ambrose in 11:46!Adrian Neville leaps to his feet, pumping his fist, knowing that he just scored one of the bigger wins in this tournament. Dean Ambrose rolls outside, holding his ribs, while Neville continues to celebrate as the show comes to an end.

WWE NXT: October 2nd, 2014 – Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida
Things open tonight with a short video package that recaps the events of TakeOver: R-Evolution between Tyson Kidd and Hideo Itami. After Itami won his debut match, Justin Gabriel came out to attack him with Kidd, leading to the debut of Finn Balor, coming to the aid of his friend. Tonight, Kidd and Itami meet in the rematch! Rich Brennan, Alex Riley and Jason Albert are on commentary. EVAN BOURNE AND KALISTO VS. SOLOMON CROWE AND TYLER BREEZE; After the events of last week, Kalisto wants revenge on Solomon Crowe, but his leg is still quite banged up. It prevents him from doing his signature offense and forces him to tag out. Evan Bourne’s exchanges with Tyler Breeze prove to be rather exciting. The heels team up on Kalisto, cutting the ring in half on him. He manages to slip away from their grasp and tag in Bourne, who hits everything moving. He scores on some key moves, like a double knee drop from the top. He hit Solomon Crowe with AirBourne, avenging his loss from TakeOver. Evan Bourne and Kalisto defeat Solomon Crowe and Kalisto in 10:41!When the bell rings, the fans cheer as Evan Bourne stands up. Kalisto limps in to raise his am, while Solomon Crowe holds his ribs on the mat, suffering a big setback. Tyler Breeze stands outside, looking disgusted at what happened in the ring.
Following a quick break, we return to hear the music of Jack Swagger. He steps out onto the stage with Zeb Colter, who has a microphone. Zeb states that after the split of the Real Americans, Jack Swagger began to struggle. “It was unfortunate, but we aren’t ones to shy away from that fact. So we set out to come to NXT, right here in America, and find a new Real American to partner up with Jack. Unlike that Cesaro guy, we wanted an actual American born, red blooded male.” Colter says that they found one in Jason Jordan, who followed a similar path as Swagger considering his amateur background. Colter brings out Jason Jordan, who arrives with a new haircut and the “Don’t Tread on Me” jacket. Colter coins them the “All-American Real Americans” and promises that they will wear tag team gold soon. JASON JORDAN W/ JACK SWAGGER AND ZEB COLTER VS. OLIVER GREY; Zeb Colter claims that this match is here to showcase the newfound aggression in Jason Jordan. Worry comes over his face when Oliver Grey starts hot and sends Jordan outside to regroup. Zeb and Jack Swagger give him a small pep talk, which seems to encourage him. Jordan enters and starts to strut his stuff, showing exactly why he was chosen by Zeb and Jack. Jordan nails a beautiful German suplex for the win. Jason Jordan defeats Oliver Grey in 3:08!Following the win, Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter enter the ring to raise Jason Jordan’s hand. While they bask in the victory, Tye Dillinger comes down to the ring, looking to speak with Jordan. Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter try to intervene but Tye ignores them, trying to only to speak directly to his former partner. You can hear Tye say “this isn’t you” at one point. Jordan stares at him, his facial expression never changing. He nods his head once, causing Swagger to level Tye from behind and put him in the Patriot Lock. He wrenches on it while Tye screams in pain and officials run out to try and pry Swagger off. Something has gotten into these new “All-American Real Americans.”
Backstage, we see William Regal’s office when Sasha Banks enters. Regal greets her, but the “Boss” is not in the mood for pleasantries. “While I appreciate you giving me my rightful rematch against Charlotte tomorrow night on Divas Smackdown, there is one more thing I want. You see, everybody knows that Charlotte got lucky at TakeOver. I can’t allow that to happen again. So I propose that we make tomorrow’s match 2 out of 3 falls.” A voice from behind Sasha says “that’s fine with me.” Sasha, annoyed, turns and sees Charlotte in the doorway. She tells her former BFF that it’ll be her pleasure beating her two more times. “I’m going to prove to everyone that the best BFF and best woman in NXT does things with Flair.” Charlotte walks off as Regal tells Sasha that the idea works with him too. Regal is seen smiling as Sasha leaves too.
NON-TITLE: COREY GRAVES VS. MOJO RAWLEY; Judging by the look on his face, Corey Graves is still pissed off about the Survival Trials vote. Mojo Rawley tries to get the crowd going with some shouting about being hype, but Graves shuts him up with some vicious strikes. Graves looks like a man possessed and he makes Mojo tap out to the Lucky 13. Corey Graves defeats Mojo Rawley in 3:18!Corey Graves snatches the NXT Title from the official and hoists it high in the air. You can see him signaling that it makes him the man in NXT. It’s clear that Corey Graves is holding one hell of a grudge.
Devin Taylor is now standing by with one half of the NXT Tag Team Champions, Kevin Owens. She asks him for his thoughts on his partner competing in the Survival Trials on the main roster. Owens gives a small chuckle, saying that part of him is happy for Sami Zayn. “He’s wanted an opportunity like this his whole life. Another part of me is disappointed though, because I wanted that shot just as much as he did.” Owens turns his attention to Corey Graves, saying that he’s going around badmouthing Sami, which he doesn’t take kindly too. “Soon Corey, our paths will cross.”
An ad is shown to promote WrestleMania, which comes to you live from the brand new Levi’s Stadium on March 29th, 2015! This is followed by a vignette to hype Mason Ryan. Since returning to NXT, Mason Ryan has not only been undefeated, but he’s also been winning in very short fashion, with matches lasting less than a minute. The “Welsh Warrior” has dominated NXT and looks to continue that trend. CARMELLA W/ ENZO AMORE AND COLIN CASSADY VS. LEVA; Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady give a big introduction to their new friend, Carmella. She faces indy standout Leva Bates, just going by the name Leva tonight. Leva starts hot, showing her experience over Carmella. The “Princess of Staten Island” is a fiery woman though, turning things around with some impressive moves. She gets the crow behind her with some fun theatrics after a shoulder thrust. Carmella then applies a very interesting headscissors submission that causes Leva to submit. Carmella defeats Leva in 2:02!The fans come to their feet to cheer for the debut victory by Carmella. Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady, along with the commentary team, seem pretty impressed by her performance. She does a small dance in the ring to the crowd’s liking.
Cutting backstage, Hideo Itami is shown warming up. He is shadow boxing and mixing in some kicks, looking extremely prepared for tonight’s main event.
An advertisement runs to promote Divas Smackdown, airing tomorrow night from Milwaukee, Wisconsin! Paige will put her coveted Women’s Championship on the line against AJ Lee in their rubber match! Plus, Charlotte takes on Sasha Banks for the NXT Women’s Title in a Two out of Three Falls match and Diva legends Victoria and Molly Holly return to the ring to take on the Bella Twins! Devin Taylor is standing by in the back with the NXT Champion, Corey Graves. She asks him for his thoughts on what Kevin Owens said earlier tonight. Graves talks to the camera seriously, claiming that he heard it. “He should know that my issue, is with the NXT Universe and Sami Zayn. But of course, Sami’s big buddy has to stick up for him. If Kevin Owens is looking for a ‘fight’, I’m not hard to find. Understand this though Kevin, I am the NXT Champion for a reason. You step up to me and you still stay down.” HIDEO ITAMI VS. TYSON KIDD W/ NATALYA; According to General Manager William Regal, Justin Gabriel and Finn Balor are not allowed at ringside for this TakeOver rematch. The fans are treated to a match that follows a similar pattern to the first bout. Tyson Kidd attacks the legs of Hideo Itami, looking to soften him up for the Sharpshooter, as well as take away his wide array of kicks. Itami fights back, only he can’t bring himself to do kicks due to the leg work. Instead, he starts firing off some slaps and strikes. He runs off the ropes and hits the Shotgun dropkick, but can’t cover because his leg hurts too much. Kidd uses this time to apply the Sharpshooter once he gets up, but Itami reaches the ropes. Kidd pulls him back to the middle of the ring to try again but Itami pulls him into a small package, getting the win. Hideo Itami defeats Tyson Kidd in 12:45!As Hideo Itami releases the pin, he quickly rolls out of the ring and has his hand raised by the referee. Tyson Kidd stays in the ring and is clearly frustrated, slamming his hands on the mat while Natalya tries to console him. Itami exits up the ramp, picking up another win over Kidd in just his second match.

Divas Smackdown: October 3rd, 2014 – BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Divas Smackdown opens up with a video package that is similar to the usual Smackdown intro, but instead of WWE Superstars, it features only the Divas of the WWE. It then shifts to a video package, going back to the first two matches between Paige and AJ Lee because tonight, we’ll have our rubber match. Cutting to the arena, we see the excited crowd in Milwaukee. Renee Young is in the commentary booth tonight, as she introduces the event, but is all alone at ringside.
The WWE Universe instantly rises as “Lovefurypassionenergy” hits the speakers and WWE Hall of Famer Lita steps through the curtain. She poses for the crowd as she heads down to the ring, sliding in and grabbing a microphone. She welcomes everyone to the show, saying that it is great to be a part of history tonight. “You know, over the past number of months, I’ve seen Trish Stratus, Molly Holly and Victoria come out here to support women’s wrestling, but I haven’t gotten the chance to do so myself.” Lita says that’s part of why she’s out here. She wants to give back to the Divas and do whatever she can to support them. “Another reason I’m out here is to join the lovely Renee Young on commentary during the show tonight. Lastly, I want to talk about the future of the Divas division. Namely, two women that set a seriously high standard last month. Charlotte and Sasha Banks.” Lita puts them over at length, speaking about their talent, ability and potential, giving both women her stamp of approval. She then sets the stage for the opening contest before joining commentary.
NXT WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS MATCH – CHARLOTTE (C) VS. SASHA BANKS; The former BFFs come face to face, with clear smack talk going on. They begin to trade punches and go into some exchanges of offense. Neither girl gains a clear upper hand and both pick up multiple near falls. Charlotte applies the Figure Four but Sasha turns it over to escape. When both women get up, Sasha ducks a right hand and pulls her into a backslide to win the first fall. Renee Young mentions that in a normal match, Sasha would now be NXT Women’s Champion. Charlotte fights from behind, trying to do everything in her power to win a fall. She evens the score with Natural Selection. Both Sasha and Charlotte seem desperate to win now. Charlotte tries Natural Selection again, but Sasha holds onto the middle rope to block it. Sasha nails the Bank Statement and rolls into the submission, wrenching back on Charlotte. Charlotte uses that momentum to roll onto Sasha, scoring a near fall. They get up at the same time and Charlotte turns Sasha inside out with a huge Spear. She covers but Sasha somehow gets the shoulder up. Charlotte goes up top and tries a moonsault. Sasha rolls out of the way, causing Charlotte to crash and burn. Sasha quickly pounces, locking in the Bank Statement. Charlotte fights hard, but Sasha wrenches way back and Charlotte has to submit. Sasha Banks defeats Charlotte to win the NXT Women’s Championship in 12:12!The referee calls for the bell and the fans give a mixed reaction. Sasha Banks gets to her knees, fighting back tears, as she’s handed the NXT Women’s Title. She snatches it from the official and raises it in the air, clearly talking smack to the WWE Universe. The camera catches a close up where Sasha says “I told all of you”, bragging about the victory. She exits having accomplished her goal while Charlotte is checked on by the referee. She slowly gets up, holding her neck and looking defeated.
An advertisement is shown to promote Total Divas on E! This week, watch as Brie Bella contemplates life after wrestling with Daniel Bryan, while Cameron tries to teach her little brother a lesson. We are then taken to a video package focusing on Paige. It goes all the way back to her childhood and her life growing up in a wrestling family. Words are heard from her father, mother and brother about Paige’s passion for the business. Footage is shown of Paige in FCW and then NXT, where she made history by becoming the first NXT Women’s Champion. “There is a reason the title in NXT isn’t called a Divas Title. The first person to hold it was me and I’m no Diva.” We see her main roster debut the night after WrestleMania XXX where she immediately challenged AJ Lee, though she didn’t get her shot until Extreme Rules. On that night, Paige passed out to the Black Widow. “That was one of the lowest points of my career. I was so close and I just couldn’t get it done. I never gave up though and thankfully, AJ Lee saw that.” AJ wanted to definitively beat the “Anti-Diva” leading to their match in England, where Paige captured the gold. Now clips are shown of Paige’s title reign but her view on AJ Lee has slightly changed. “I still respect the hell out of AJ Lee, but since she’s returned, we certainly haven’t seen eye to eye. She’s against the idea of ‘Divas’ just like me, but understand that this match on Smackdown, which I refuse to call ‘Divas Smackdown’, is going to be a fight.”
CAMERON VS. NAOMI; The former Funkadactyls have had some serious issues over the past few months. Cameron finally turned her back on Naomi but has avoided confrontation until now. When the bell rings, Naomi is sure to get her hands on Cameron, attacking quickly. Cameron goes to a thumb to the eyes to swing the momentum a bit. Naomi does hit the Rear End but Cameron kicks out. Knowing that isn’t enough, Naomi goes up top and nails a split legged moonsault for the 1-2-3. Naomi defeats Cameron in 3:04!Naomi celebrates her win along with the WWE Universe, finally beating her former partner. Renee Young steps into the ring to conduct a post-match interview. “Now that you’ve put this ugliness behind you, what’s next for Naomi?” Naomi smiles and responds, saying that she’s going to focus on the reason she’s in this business to begin with. She wants to be a champion. Before she can continue, Cameron whacks her from behind. She plants Naomi with a snap DDT that she calls Girl Bye. Cameron storms off, but still finds time to fix her hair and look in her pocket mirror.
Returning from break, former Total Divas star Jojo is standing by with Emma. She asks Emma for her thoughts on Divas Smackdown. Emma has an annoyed look on her face, but says that it’s a brilliant idea. “There’s only one thing about Divas Smackdown that bugs me. I’m not on it. I’m not trying to sound conceited or anything like that, because everyone knows I love a good time, but I wish I was able to be a bigger part of this. For weeks, I’ve stepped into the ring with the Bella Twins and AJ Lee because they all like to target me since I’m friends with Paige. I’m here to tell everyone that I hope Paige keeps her belt tonight. But I also want Paige to know that I’m looking for the next title shot. When I get that shot, the Emmalution will officially begin.” Emma goes to do her dance but stops, lowers her hands and walks off.
“You can look but you can’t touch…” is heard as the Bella Twins make their way to the ring. The crowd boos them as they enter the ring and Nikki grabs a microphone. She tells the fans to shut up before saying that it is a travesty that they aren’t main eventing tonight. “How can you have a show called Divas Smackdown and not include the two people who define the word Diva in the main event? We are the stars of Total Divas. We bring more eyes to the Divas division than anyone else. Instead, we have to waste our time with two has-beens who, on their best day, couldn’t hold a candle to us. There is a reason we are the faces of this division during a time where it has reached new heights. Something like Divas Smackdown would not have been possible if Molly Holly and Victoria were the stars.” She is cut off by the music of Victoria. The veteran ladies are looking for a fight. THE BELLA TWINS VS. MOLLY HOLLY AND VICTORIA; Early on, the duo of former Women’s Champions Molly Holly and Victoria just took it to the Bella Twins. It is akin to taking someone to the woodshed. Nikki Bella pulls Molly into their corner and hits a big forearm shot, leading to the Bellas taking control. They isolate Molly until Victoria can get the tag and bust out some powerful offense. She nails Brie with the Widow’s Peak, getting a major pop from the crowd. Nikki blind tagged in just before the move was hit, and hoists up Victoria for the Rack Attack to win. The Bella Twins defeat Molly Holly and Victoria in 4:20!The WWE Universe erupts in a chorus of boos at the sight of their past Divas taking the loss here tonight. The brash Bella Twins get to earn another win and we’re sure to never hear the end of it. They pose together while Molly Holly looks on in disappointment.
Similar to the video we saw earlier tonight featuring Paige, we get one about AJ Lee. Unlike Paige, she didn’t grow up in a wrestling family. She was just a lifelong fan who sat in the nosebleeds at WrestleMania XX and told her father that one day, she’d be in the ring. After some serious downs, like living in her car, AJ finally made it. Clips are shown of her in FCW, where she reigned as Queen. More roadblocks are shown, like her getting eliminated from NXT Season 3 and getting run over by the Big Show. Finally, she realized her dream of becoming Divas Champion when she defeated Kaitlyn at Payback 2013. For nearly a year, AJ reigned as champion, sending back every Diva that stood in her way. Until she faced Paige. AJ admits that she also has respect for Paige. “She is good for the division. But it isn’t quite her time yet. I’m still the woman to beat around here. She and I are going to make history in this company, but while we do that, I’m going to do whatever it takes to get back my baby and become champion again.”
Before the next contest, we are shown footage from last week’s Total Divas. Summer Rae and Natalya continued their rivalry, not only exchanging words, but getting physical again. It spilled over into Raw this past Monday when Summer Rae cost Natalya a match. NATALYA W/ TYSON KIDD VS. SUMMER RAE; For some reason, Tyson Kidd accompanies Natalya to the ring. The referee tells him to get to the back because the show is supposed to be all females but Tyson just continues to listen to the music in his headphones, ignoring the rules. The official gives up and focuses on the match. Summer Rae uses her long legs for an advantage, but Natalya catches a kick and ends up applying the Sharpshooter. Summer taps out. Natalya defeats Summer Rae in 2:04!
Tyson Kidd quickly enters the ring and stands in front of Natalya, throwing his arms in the air in celebration. Natalya is taken aback by this and tries to tell Tyson to stop, but he ignores her. He finally raises her arm for a brief moment, but goes back to taking the credit for the win.
With us now in the month of October, the WWE has once again partnered up with Susan G. Coleman in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. We hear from multiple Superstars and Divas about their experiences with breast cancer.
Before heading to our main event, Renee Young reminds everyone that the Survival Trials are still currently ongoing. A video plays to highlight some of the action that we’ve seen so far, including the classic between John Cena and Sami Zayn, the unfortunate 0-3 start of some Superstars, Cody Rhodes already having six points and the performances from the Shield. A reminder that tomorrow night, live on the WWE Network, three Survival Trial matches will air. The Miz goes one on one with Cody Rhodes, two Authority members collide when Bad News Barrett faces Sheamus and Roman Reigns takes on Sami Zayn for the first time ever.
WWE WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP – PAIGE (C) VS. AJ LEE; There is a buzz in the air as the two women come face to face. They lock up and Paige overpowers AJ twice. This seems to frustrate AJ, who tackles Paige to the ground, flailing away with rights and lefts. Paige retreats outside, trying to catch a breather from AJ’s flurry. AJ gives her no chance, connecting on a suicide dive. Back inside, they go back and forth, with Paige getting more aggressive after seeing that AJ did the same. AJ nails the shining wizard but is only able to score a near fall. She ends up locking in the Black Widow, which brings the crowd to the edge of their seats. Paige fights it off, but starts to fade, dropping to one knee. Paige powers up and moves to the ropes, causing a break. From out of nowhere, Paige hits the Paige Turner but AJ manages to kick out. Paige instantly goes into the PTO, which is nearly impossible to break. AJ is close to the ropes, but her arms are pulled too far back to do anything. Out of sheer desperation, AJ leans forward and bites the middle rope, causing a break. Paige lets go and is stunned at this. Suddenly, the Bella Twins rush out and enter the ring. Paige levels both before AJ gets up and fights them off with Paige. Things spill outside when the referee calls for the bell. Match ends in a no contest in 10:48!The fans boo the decision but end up cheering for the brawl. Paige and AJ send the Bella Twins packing, as they angrily head up the ramp. Paige and AJ look at each other for a few seconds. Then suddenly, they just charge at each other and their fight spills to the outside. Paige whips AJ into the guardrail and runs in, but AJ backdrops her over and into the crowd. AJ takes a breather, only for Paige to hop up on the guardrail and leap onto her. AJ is ready, hitting her in the ribcage. AJ then takes things a bit further, grabbing a steel chair. She looks down at Paige and hoists the chair up, only for security and officials to snatch it away and pull her back. Paige picks up the chair and heads towards here but is also stopped by officials. The sight of both women being held back while trying to rip each other apart is the final image of Smackdown.
