Two issues in doing that, though. One, with ROH establishing that trios title, they'll be needing every trio they can get their hands on for a while. Even with awful gimmicks, ANX and Coleman are a top trio. Two, the gimmick has racist undertones as it is, so the black guys kicking the white guy out wouldn't look good at all. First one is a good point. Second one I don't care. Let them bring in a different guy then. Dijak or Jason Kincade or, if Daniels is getting the solo push now, Kazarian. Dijak! Now that would work, dude's been shamefully spinning his wheels for a while now and really needs something of note to do. I'd up Castle for that as well since he's in the same figurative boat, but it'd be the same situation there. Titus teaming with Castle might be an interesting scenario in itself, now that I think of it. Throw in Kincaid (ROH really needs to bring the Gift in regularly anyway), it'd be a little makeshift but it'd be fun just to see if an unorthodox grouping like that could work out.

Finally getting around to watching the WOH episode. Sucks Candice lost. And I got a feeling Mandy Leon is gonna beat Havok. Kind of surprising that out of all the big feds in North America ROH has some of the worst booking in the ladies division.

That Cody/Corino segment was great, but man was it hilarious hearing Kevin Kelly go on a five minute monologue during their match detailing Corino's history with Kevin Sullivan and BJ Whitmer over the last year. What a life.
Caprice Coleman is a guy that I want ROH to get serious with but it's never gonna happen as long as he's saddled in these cringeworthy gimmicks with ANX. Their act has been awful in both iterations. I really can't deal with ANX anymore, they're just so awkward to me.

So I am trying to get caught up and am on the episode with Daniels v. Sabin, umm... Why did they send Corino off to destroy Goldust?
Daniels v. Sabin was good. Scurll v. Gresham was neat but would have been better if Gresham meant more in ROH.

Actually didn't watch much of this week, and since NESN are bastards I didn't get to see #278. I fast-forwarded the tag three-way once the Bucks showed up and turned the show off before Big Match Jay came out. No desire to see any of them.
Enjoyed the hell out of the TV title match, though. I remember Scurll from back when he was Party Marty, but I like the Villain a hell of a lot more. He has a bigger presence to him now. NJPW did Juice a world of good, as well.

Lineup for Episode #280 (Airing 2/4 and later):
BJ Whitmer and Punishment Damien Martinez vs. War Machine (Hanson and Rowe) The Kingdom (Matt Taven, Vinny Marseglia and TK O'Ryan) vs. Cory Hollis, John Skylar and Joseph Agau ROH Tag Team Title Match: The Young Bucks (Nick and Matt Jackson)(c) vs. The Tempura Boyz (Sho and Yo) ROH TV Title Number One Contender Scramble: Lio Rush vs. Donovan Dijak vs. Jonathan Gresham vs. Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley vs. Jay White
It's hard to be optimistic about ROH these days. The broadcast team is gone. Half of the main event is either leaving (Dijak), planning to leave (Rush) or was never officially there to begin with (Gresham). War Machine is also supposedly packing it in, eyeing opportunities in both Orlando and Tokyo. The Young Bucks are feuding with a team that might never show up on television... or PPV... or anywhere where there's a Sinclair camera present. But sad reality shouldn't undercut what is a great show in a great set of tapings. So sit back, relax and enjoy this version of ROH. It will look almost completely different next month. Again.

Oh so I went to ROH Undisputed Legacy in San Antonio last night. I had a great time. I thought the show was much better than Survival of the Fittest in November. I got to meet Adam Cole, the Young Bucks, the Addiction and Dalton Castle before the show (awesome). I would post pictures but I'm lazy and it's just easier to direct you to my Twitter feed (@finalbowser) that already has them.
The show was great and had many great matches. I don't feel like typing a full recap though. Great to have the Bullet Club in town. The main event was The Bullet Club (Cole, Page & The Bucks) vs. MCMG, Jay White & Lio Rush. It was fun match with Bullet Club getting to do a lot of their signature stuff and go over strong to the delight of the crowd. Other great matches included Cody vs. Dijak, Briscos vs PBK (Lee's final match in ROH btw), Addiction vs. Tempura Boyz, War Machine & Jax Dane vs. The Kingdom, and Dalton Castle vs. Jay Lethal vs. Bobby Fish.

Was this week's episode sent to stations too long?
When my DVR recorded the show at its original airtime, it began just coming back from the first commercial break with the Cody/Adam-Jay/Bobby match already in progress.
I didn't want to miss the beginning, so I started watching my DVR's recording of the second airing, which started from the beginning, but in the main event after Colt came to ringside and the "match continues" graphic aired, the show never resumed and an informercial started after the commercials.

So I like listening to Ian more than Kevin Kelly, but I'm wondering how long he's been doing commentary, since he committed the cardinal sin of talking over a promo. That's like commentary 101. When wrestlers are talking, STFU.
Brutal Bob needs to be permanent color commentator. He was insightful, enthusiastic, and easy to listen to. Plus he sounded like George Costanza, which was amusing.
Dijak/Scurll was fantastic. Great stuff from both.

So I watched the first post-Kevin Kelly ROH episode today. Gotta be honest, after that first match I was ready to completely write off Ian Rikki-Tikki-Tavi. He sounded horrible and had no chemistry with Bobby Fish. But as the show went on he got much better and I'm thinking he might actually work out.
Other notes -
If Christopher Daniels is gonna be a face now he needs to stop wearing the Col. Klink jacket. Men dressed as Lufthansa officers can not be babyfaces.
I'm really digging Marty Scurll. He feels like the first person ROH has brought in since Dalton Castle that really feels like a star and not just another warm body.
