He's gone from never being mentioned on WWE TV to starring in a trailer for 2k17
This is what they did with Brock back in 2011.
Am I right?

I know I sure am hype for 50 year old Goldberg that hasn't wrestled since I don't even remember when! Can I pay extra to see it early!?

Well if the previous 2K pre-order bonuses are any indication (Brock Lesnar, Ultimate Warrior, Sting) then that means Goldberg is making an in-ring comeback and/or going into the HOF next year.
The fact that he actually bothered to shoot an advert like Warrior and Sting did is a telling sign also.

Probably going in the Hall of Fame, maybe an appearance on Raw when the game gets released or during Wrestlemania season...but considering how much smaller he looks these days, I doubt he's coming back for any type of run.

I think he wants one last match to show his son who is too young to remember him wrestling. So at mania vs Taker? Cena? Reigns? There's a few tasty options there if he can still go.

Since he made his name in WCW, it's pretty obvious who he would face (and lose to) at WM if he were to have one more match.

From what I understand, 2K is the ones who got Goldberg for the game, not WWE. That being said, the exact same thing happened with Brock, Warrior, and Sting and that led to their eventual comeback/debut. To add to it, Vince has to ok who goes in the game. Could be a comeback or just for the game. Who knows?

SummerSlam 2016 WWE World Heavyweight Championship Roman Reigns (c) vs. Goldberg

I could see Goldberg coming back for a retirement match with Brock at Mania. He wants a big name, has said he'd like another match with Brock, his kid would get to see him live which he wants and he'd get paid. Return the win to Brock, retire, go in the HoF and march off into the sunset to that badass theme.
That and it keeps Bork away from squashing any full timers.

Probably do some stuff for the Network. We may also see a legends action figure and DVD compilation.

I could see a spot where he and Reigns take turns spearing people.
Say what you will about Goldberg OR Reigns, but they both knew how to do a spear properly.

I'd be okay with a Legends-like appearance for Goldberg. I'd even be okay with him jobbing to Undertaker if Undertaker insists on still wrestling and needing big opponents for 'Mania.
Most likely though? A Hall Of Fame spot. Which I'm also okay with.

Would love for Roman Reigns and Goldberg to spear each other and collide headfirst to end the match on a doubl KO.
