SI Article suggested Hill is going to lose her job and that they're already tweaking the SC6 format by bringing in guests. Two thoughts on this:
1. This is the risk you run by doing shows centered around characters. It doesn't bold well for the Greenberg show b/c if they scrap SC6 all together, where is Mike Smith going to go? Similar to Greeny, there's nowhere to go but down if your show bombs.
2. It sucks, but really the only person who got affected by this is Hill and her pockets. You gotta ask yourself if it was worth it in the end, and if she would have still done it with the benefit of hindsight.

I kinda doubt it because Jemele Hill's suspension is with pay. I think if they were entertaining firing her, it'd be a suspension without pay. And firing her now would be a pretty big headache they probably don't want to go through with.

Hill pockets going to be fine. She’s become one of the biggest names in sports journalism. She’ll get a new job somewhere probably making more and with more freedom. It’s ESPN loss. His and Hers was something that was organic and ESPN “WWED” it. Unfortunately

Also, it appears Lindsey Czarniak quietly left ESPN back in August. Though hers wasn't a layoff. Her contract expired then and she voluntarily chose to leave the company.
Maybe she saw the writing on the wall with Greenberg's show coming up, which looks like it could be the biggest disaster in morning television not named "Megyn Kelly Today."

Wasn’t she pregnant around that time ? Yea, Greeny show is looking like shit. Why on earth would you put Jalen Rose and Michelle Beadle as his co host.

She came back from maternity leave to SportsCenter AM. She was originally the solo host for the 6PM hour, but ESPN replaced that with SC6 during her leave.
I think she was on SC AM for a few months before quietly leaving the company in August. People didn't even notice she was gone until she gave a pretty strong statement on Twitter speaking out against ESPN for suspending Hill and giving her support. I really liked her and I hope she gets a job somewhere else soon.

She should have been Greeny co host for whatever the f*** they are naming his show but I hear they was stuck on getting Clarissa from Fox

I second the love for Czarniak. She was quite good and hopefully she'll find success somewhere else.

Wasn't Charissa Thompson at ESPN originally before going to Fox?

Wasn't Charissa Thompson at ESPN originally before going to Fox? She was. She was the original co host with Michael Smith in Numbers Never Lie and I believe she did Sportsnation for a while after Beadle left for NBC

I've watched some of SC6 with Michael doing it by himself and he's doing a very good job
It's a little similar to SVP but if he had to do it by himself full time he def could

I think Jemele's supposed to come back on Monday (or Tuesday? I forget what they do with SC with Monday Night Countdown on ESPN1 at its timeslot during football season). Should be interesting to see if it's back to business as usual or if things change post-suspension.

She told TMZ she deserved the suspension after her comments and her and ESPN are fine so I assume everything will be back to normal, she will give another apology and be on thin ice Hell, I expect a few jokes at her expense to sort of break the ice

ESPN cancelled "Barstool Van Talk" after one episode.
Morale = High.

Was that a show? Never saw a commercial for it, except for those barstool guys being on Rusillio. They aren't funny, in my humble opinion.

So Skipper says he canceled the show specifically because he was afraid of being associated with Barstool, which is a funny angle to take when you give a show to two guys from Barstool (although PMT is pretty independent). Lol
Sucks for them, but PMT is probably better off for it and have what? One of the biggest sports podcast going? ESPN earring the content would have shown up sooner or later.

Good. Barstool is trash.
Though it begs the question why they'd try to have a Barstool show and then cancel it because it's associated with Barstool.

Good. Barstool is trash. Though it begs the question why they'd try to have a Barstool show and then cancel it because it's associated with Barstool. The PMT guys are a pretty big departure from what the rest of Barstool does, so they likely saw the attraction in that. The stupidest thing to me is that they put Barstool in the program title, and also apparently Skipper knew of the issues that have Barstool in the news lately and greenlit the show, but canned it once it became a news story again. The Barstool baggage is obviously shit, but at this point ESPN has to know what it is getting into there.
